R6: I've been using FlipGrid with Ss this year and love being able to hear from all my students. Great for both assessing and building some digcit skills #INeLearn
#INeLearn A6 For us this year, it was cultural conversations. We spoke with a class from Argentina 🇦🇷 over the issue of gender inequality. Classes exchanged questions and the Ss answered via video call. Gave our Ss the opportunity to hear similarities and differences.
R4 Will be introducing professional learning tools, e.g. Twitter & @Diigo, to new leadership so they will be role model professional learners for those they lead #INeLearn
R5: What I took from the work @DonWettrick shared is how powerful it is when his kids connect to leaders (industry, thought, gov, etc). This doesn't even require sectioning off 20% #INeLearn
#INeLearn A6 Also did a cultural conversation with a class from Monterrey Mexico 🇲🇽 regarding current issues (gun control, leadership etc.) Students defense their positions and learn to agree to disagree.
R5: New Indiana Computer Science standards and Science and Engineering Process standards are a great way to show value of Genius Hour for those who might be wary. I know schedules are so tight in classrooms, this might help Ts find the time #INeLearn
#INeLearn A6 One of our Grade 2 classes participated with a school in NYC in a cultural chat. Questions were designed to help students see differences and similarities between a rural and urban school.
