#Edtechchat focuses on Education Technology. Co-founder Tom Murray says #edtechchat "connects us professionally with inspiring educators from all over the world, all of who encourage us to be better every day for the children and families we serve.”
Hi, everyone. My name is Sunny Gao. I am an undergraduate studying Education, Communities, and Organizations at UW. This is my first twitter chat, glad to be here. #edtechchat
A1: This group helps you to learn & grow, pushes your thinking, & offers support. I am lucky to have my #4OCFpln do all of that and so much more! #edtechchat
A1: All educators should have a PLN so they can connect with other educators and share their ideas with one another. Team work makes the dream work! #edtechchat
A1 because sometimes you need a source that's outside your head, your class, your district - a voice of "hey, I've tried that" or "wait..have you ever thought of this?" Fresh eyes globally and helpfully #edtechchat
A1 Having a PLN promotes well being. It gives you peers to learn from, to help generate ideas, to create confidence, and to cheer you on when you fail. A great PLN is the secret sauce that can let the best educators become even better! #edtechchat
A1 A #PLN is our lifeline! We are stronger together. The network of edus informs us, supports us, and challenges us to help make our teaching better. #edtechchat#kidsdeserveit
A1: I had a PLN long before I heard that term & now expanding it further.
Having people to learn from with a variety of backgrounds and skillsets helps me to compliment my own skills and constantly self-evaluate. It makes me feel not so alone in little Rm 110 #PLN#edtechchat
A1: #PLN is huge and #EdTechChat is the place! I have build more professional relationships, learning more from others, and survived burn out because of Twitter and PLNs
A1: Peers and colleagues are so important for you to grow! Peer observations are crucial for developing new ideas, lessons, and assessments @mathmrsdeluca#edtechchat
As an educator, it is easy to close yourself off within the walls of our own classroom and buildings. It is easy to feel alone and frustrated. I think PLNs help us see that the problems we face are similar and we can expand our help network when times get tough #edtechchat
A1 We need a system of support that will give us feedback, pushback, celebrate with us and keep us grounded, we learn more when we collaborate and it benefits our Ss too #edtechchat
A1 Because knowledge grows when it's freely shared and both educators and their students benefit from best practices and ideas gathered through their #PLN#edtechchat
A1: Teacher efficacy and collaboration are 2 keys to professional growth & knowledge. One of many reasons why every teacher should have a PLN. #edtechchat
A1. PLNs offer professional development that involves each person in a more meaningful way. Supports are a natural component of a PLN. More personal form of pd too! #edtechchat
What a great topic!
A1) Everyone who considers themselves a LEARNER -- even if not a professional educator -- should have a #PLN. Growth is within but we learn from others. #edtechchat
What a great topic!
A1) Everyone who considers themselves a LEARNER -- even if not a professional educator -- should have a #PLN. Growth is within but we learn from others. #edtechchat
I am focused on trying to build our PLN in spaces we control while modeling good digital hygiene for our students. Currently participating in tonights #edtechchat using #indieweb stuff that allows me to syndicate to Twitter and still collect mentions from across the web.
A1 A strong #PLN gives educators an opportunity to mix up their gene pool! When you rely upon the same ideas from the same people, you get stuck in "what is" and you lose site of "what could be" #edtechchat
I agree. I also encourage folks to not even worry about people. It doesn't take too long until you follow too many. Ideas matter more. Follow spaces. #edtechchat
A1: A PLN is your support system! They are that go-to group of friends who have your back! They guide you through tough days and help you celebrate good ones! #LoveMyPLN#edtechchat
A1) education is not an easy profession. It can make those who work as a change agent in the field feel as if they are on an island. PLNs help educators grow as well as provide ongoing support and future opportunities. #EdTechChat
WINNER WINNER! I learned SO much about Twitter by following others in media areas like @MadalynSklar - and this was after walking these Twitterhallways for many years. #EdTechChat
A1: PLN’s help you grow, stay connected, and we are all students learning every day. What better way is there to learn than from your peers.. #edtechchat
Whether face-to-face or online connecting through your #PLN is like pruning grapes off a vineyard. They are patiently waiting to share their knowledge for the benefit of everyone in your network #edtechchat#pd#tnedchat
A1) education is not an easy profession. It can make those who work as a change agent in the field feel as if they are on an island. PLNs help educators grow as well as provide ongoing support and future opportunities. #EdTechChat
A2) Ask questions and not afraid to be DM!! Those who share, want to help. I share to help and welcome any questions! I expect the same from my PLN! #edtechchat
A2 Chats searching hashtags, connecting through more traditional platforms. Always curating my Twitter to try to add perspectives and ideas. #edtechchat
A2: I am just learning how to do this. As a beginner you have to just put yourself out there and try out some new chats and follow some new people from there. #edtechchat
Ever notice educators - like @gcouros - who will pose a question or ask others to help an educators who is seeking advice? Amazing assistance is often offered! #Edtechchat
A1: I had a PLN long before I heard that term & now expanding it further.
Having people to learn from with a variety of backgrounds and skillsets helps me to compliment my own skills and constantly self-evaluate. It makes me feel not so alone in little Rm 110 #PLN#edtechchat
A2 As @MaineSchoolTech would say, find the right inmates for your asylum. Participate in chats & bookmark blogs that inspire and challenge thinking. #EdTechChat#connected
A2a I participate in the chats to not only gain energy & ideas from y'all but to see who is thinking like me, unlike me and waaaay unlike me and I follow them #edtechchat
A2: Pick chats that align to your goals and interests! You’ll find like minded individuals. Also try and interact with as many people as possible. Hand out commendations and ask questions 👍🏼👍🏼 #edtechchat
A1: All of us could use a support system that is not limited to the people in our district and work hours. With a PLN, you can share ideas when and whenever you want. #edtechchat
A2 Find people who you find interesting (for better or worse) and reach out... Be consistent, frequent, and insightful. Your ideas will be valued if you are brave enough to share. #edtechchat
A2 I attend as many chats as I can. Jump into as many conversations and try not to be one of those boring edu-rockstars that only send out links #EdTechChat
A2a: I participate in chats to build my PLN. I also try to tweet daily about topics that I’m interested in. Have gathered many followers and people to follow this way #edtechchat
I also think search, in the traditional, google search is becoming more and more social. Part of disciplinary literacies requires us to get more embedded in communities. #edtechchat
A2 Part A I follow reputable educators read blogs participate in chats notice what others are saying and who they're following and I ask questions #edtechchat
A2 Twitter brings people together from around the globe and brings expertise and ideas from anywhere at anytime. PD that allows you to ask questions, discuss ideas, and be informed of new thinking. And...it doesn’t cost money! #edtechchat
A2: Participating in Twitter chats. That’s exactly what I’m doing right now - trying to grow my PLN by participating in Twitter chats and sharing knowledge and experience. #edtechchat
WINNER WINNER! I learned SO much about Twitter by following others in media areas like @MadalynSklar - and this was after walking these Twitterhallways for many years. #EdTechChat
A1: A PLN is your support system! They are that go-to group of friends who have your back! They guide you through tough days and help you celebrate good ones! #LoveMyPLN#edtechchat
A2: Certainly participating in a variety of chats and then following. Listening in all places, at a conference, regional meetings, through your own PD. There is literally a whole WORLD of people! #edtechchat
Absolutely! And I usually back up my google search results by checking reviews or asking my PLN what they think. A good recommendation from the a trusted Twitter PLN holds value #edtechchat
A2 I get involved in the different chats, start to connect with other educators, try to make time for some each day, it is how I relax, and love learning! #edtechchat
A1) PLN's are so important so you can grow and learn from others in the same profession. It also surrounds you with people with similar aspirations. Also, everybody needs new ideas! #edtechchat@JuliePJones
Yes! And don’t decide to follow or not follow people based on their number of followers. If you do you’ll miss connecting with so many amazing educators! #edtechchat
Well said. Putting ourselves out there as edus is exactly the same behavior we expect from our learners. Stretch, grow, learn from others. Do not be afraid of asking questions. #edtechchat
A2: I am just learning how to do this. As a beginner you have to just put yourself out there and try out some new chats and follow some new people from there. #edtechchat
Everyone should copy Jerry, get a domain of your own, and simply be the PLN. Build the network. It's blogging, rss, and a place to hang together. We need to push our professional organizations and our PLNs onto the open web. #edtechchat
A2a: look at educational hashtags, look at who my followers are following, those are the two big ones for me - then if I see something interesting in my feed or in my Moments. #edtechchat
A2: Hi Everyone! Little late but love this!! I build my Twitter #PLN by following awesome educators and people who push the edge. I join chats when I can and retweet great ideas and resources. #edtechchat
My PLN page https://t.co/SxqhUhRJAj My Some of My Favorite Resources to build an awesome PLN: https://t.co/HrbJes2HDS it includes outstanding educators & ed companies that provide great resources #edtechchat Can you find Cybrary Man in the picture below? Are you there too?
The beauty of using Twitter Chats to grow your PLN is that you don’t ever really miss out. Just might be tardy to the party! Have to run, but can’t wait to read the #EdTechChat later to reply, respond, & reflect! P.s. Elm Edu T from Dallas TX (PD & Tech Leader). 🤗😋❤️
Q2.PartB: My favorite hashtags to follow are #Langchat and #personalizedlearning. I will teach Spanish so I love hearing new ideas for teaching foreign languages, and I am interested in making my assignments more personalized for each student #edtechchat
The depth and context of your #PLN should never be measured by the amount of followers but the quality of the discussions and the knowledge gained from them. #EdTechChat
In reply to
@s_bearden, @jgmac1106, @raspberryberet3
I’m biased in answering #WokeEd and #EdTechAfterDark but I also love #HipHopEd as it does not follow the typical Q and A style format and instead operates as a cypher or freestyle #edtechchat
A2. Would LOVE for all of you to jump into #BookCampPD and join #FAR during the summer months! Please? So much to gain by reading and talking about books with others! https://t.co/AAAObdC9nT#EdTechChat
Q2 Part A I am new to Twitter. I am fascinated with all the rock star educators, resources and links out there. I am beginning to follow teachers that have the same subject background and interests like me. #edtechchat
That's great! Eventually, be sure to follow educators who think differently and might teach another subject - you will get some great idea! #edtechchat
A2 Hi, Susan. Building a #PLN using Twitter is a process of connecting, sharing, RTing and supporting each other. Use the hashtag #growPLN. Ask tweeps who join chats to follow each other when they make new acquaintances. #edtechchat
A2b Hands down! #edtechchat as one of the original chats I joined on Twitter. Always full of surprises and hidden gems of knowledge worth sharing with other tweeps on my #PLN. #EdTechChat
A2 Rupa shenoy of nprs otherhood said to look around the table and see who is missing. Think it’s important to include diverse voices of education in our feeds. #edtechchat
So true! I wish I had a PLN when I started teaching. What a difference it would have made (although I was fortunate to have some amazing mentors in my school!) #edtechchat
Hey, Greg!
Follow spaces -- such as chats like this? (or hashtags not connected to chats). Or did you have other types of online spaces in mind? #edtechchat
Use to join those often followed by others ... now I jump into newly created chats or those about social media or creating website. LOVE learning new things from all of the amazing minds here on Twitter! #EdTechChat
A3: I use twitter as a launching pad to form real life, face to face relationships that have offered me countless resources, practices, and inspiration. No platform should be used as an escape from human interaction #edtechchat
A3: I use FB for family/friends -- I have a page on FB for #rethink_learning - I use LinkedIn for professional connections. Google+ for resources and connections. Instagram for pictures. Twitter is where I go for my #PLN. Oh forgot Voxer for collaboration/discussions #edtechchat
A1 Every edu should have a #PLN because it is those people who support, cheer one on, and provide wisdom/expertise in the field. #GrowPLN to have a supportive tribe. #edtechchat
A3: YouTube - I contribute by making my own videos (shameless self promotion here: https://t.co/M4MGhSPcqd) and learn from other creators. Also try to connect to others on Pinterest (although I find Pinterest hard to navigate at times). #edtechchat
A3: I enjoy Flipboard. Granted, as far as PLN goes, I'm kinda over here by my lonesome. A lot of the teachers I work with more closely don't use it. But it offers a great place for me to curate articles by topic and share them. #edtechchat
A3 I look at Pinterest and look up websites of folks who have informative and innovative podcasts. Being a tech and not a teacher, it's a weird path I walk. #edtechchat
A3: I have been spending a lot of time on @instagram engaging w/ educators there. It’s a very different way of engaging but I love how it empowers me to tell my story through photo and videos. Youtube and LinkedIn have been great as well. Nothing like Twitter though! #edtechchat
I miss working in the college classroom with #UNEedu. One expectation of my class was to build a PLN and S efforts led to great additions to my network. #edtechchat
A3: I stick to Twitter for my professional life. Facebook is about our small business. I am also a member of ISTE and I am in many of the feeds that come through. Have made connections that way. #edtechchat
#edtechchat I teach music, Python, and English grammar. I was in public education for 10 years, now working on teaching teachers how to teach coding/ technology
The amazing problem of #langchat kept me teaching those first couple years. They affirmed what I was doing right and challenged me to improve where I needed to be better. I am still so grateful for that PLN - sometimes I lurk the chat just for fun! #edtechchat
A great way to get full participation with @quizlet Live is to challenge students to work from their desk and not in a group. This helps avoid one student taking charge of the game. #edtech#edtechchat#quizletlive
Couldn’t agree more. I’ve been able to connect with a few in my PLN via Skype or FaceTime. What a difference it makes seeing and talking to the person! #edtechchat
And that is exactly how we met-through Twitter- and we now create alongside each other, Valerie. Love the partnership. Remember the digitals we composed for my #WinterWonderdland18 Global Gallery? https://t.co/mBcvueLXVs#edtechchat
A3. Conferences! Please take a minute and listen to the ideas @MadalynSklar shares in this podcast about how we can all get better at connecting with others when attending conferences & with those "back at the ranch!" https://t.co/HjTChjKQM4#EdtechChat
A3) I am very excited about the friendships I have made in my MAT community at Converse. I have a group of #futureteachers and professors that I hope to keep in touch with and always have contact with! #edtechchat@JuliePJones
Now >that< is something else! You share the question about conferences and just above it comes the tweet I shared about conferences before I even knew the question! #EdTechChat
Absolutely! It would be an excellent addition to our already awesome family of Ts and education professionals, with the added benefit of file sharing, image, and private audio discussions for all involved. #EdTechChat
A4. Please check out the TEN amazing ideas that are shared in this podcast. Grab a pen and paper as you'll want to jot down notes! https://t.co/HjTChjKQM4#EdTechChat
A4: Use the conference hashtag when tweeting; follow people attending along w/presenters; make plans ahead of time to meet up w/ PLN attending; mingle & meet new people; don't just stick with colleagues #edtechchat
A4: I love meeting my PLN at conferences. Take advantage of social events to connect to others (even if you're an introvert like me :) Plan meet ups, too, with your Twitter friends :) #edtechchat
A4: attending & volunteering at confs outside of my comfort zone has created unexpected opportunities for learning and growth. I.e. I didn't know python b4 volunteering for pycon edu summit. Now I teach it, learn it, love it. #edtechchat
A4: You MUST socialize and meet people! You never know where it can lead you. Maybe to doing an international chat and podcast for 5 years! #edtechchat
It could be a hashtag, IRL, a movement like, #indieweb, a community like #ds106, an Open Source project, or volunteering to tutor reading. Spaces allow for knowledge brokering. #edtechchat
Conferences are a great place to meet your digital PLN in person and add new folks in. I always grab the handles for speakers with interesting sessions even if I can attend it at the conference #edtechchat
A4: Always add your Twitter handle to your name tag. When you strike up a conversation with someone, follow them. Follow the conference hashtag and definitely follow any presenter that you want to learn more from! #edtechchat
A4: Goong to conferences and tweeting with the conference hashtag grows your network of likeminded educators. Increases the learning several times over #edtechchat
A4: Use social media with your presentation and connect your participants with your #PLN. Invite people to follow participants. Share your presentation and resources with your #PLN. Add pictures/videos/selfies after and make sure you tag everyone. #edtechchat
If you are lucky to have colleagues join you, plan ahead. Most importantly to me is sharing notes after the conference. Engaging in follow up conversations helps me a great deal. #EdTechChat#pln
Great recommendation! I definitely take note of who is tweeting at conferences I'm at and will often tweet back at them. Another great way to connect at conferences even if virtually! #edtechchat
A4: Use the conference hashtag when tweeting; follow people attending along w/presenters; make plans ahead of time to meet up w/ PLN attending; mingle & meet new people; don't just stick with colleagues #edtechchat
A4 Collaborating with other attendees using the conference hashtag and sharing the knowledge with Ts not attending. Building community, relationships, and friendships. #EdTechChat
@JuliePJones helping me out with the answers on my first #edtechchat and my first twitter chat in general. She says put your twitter handle on your business card and follow the conference hashtag. She is da bomb! #edtechchat
I think I have become more intentional in my cultivation of my #PLN since learning about the term. I have also expanded further, not just in my community but on a national and global level
#edtechchat Thanks for chat. I usually am at #NYEDChat on Mondays at 8. This is our off week. Signing off from @LongIslandNY because I have a presentation to finish.
A4 putting myself out there, getting involved in the different events, social events, meetup with my friends and invite others, make new connections #edtechchat
A4 follow hashtags about conferences follow others attending follow presenters socialize attend with others in your #PLN used shared docs to exchange twitter handles email blogs and takeaways from the speakers #edtechchat
Joining the #edtechchat conversation a bit late tonight, hello everyone! My name is Derek Starr and I am a mild/moderate special education major at Kent State University Ohio! Joining in for #barbersclass
Keep an eye out. A lot of conferences offer lower student rates, so don't count yourself out of conferences! Lots of great teaching tips there! #edtechchat
A4: Tweeting from conferences is a great way to not only share learning with your PLN but also a great way to take a quick note or pic for your own reflection (create your own # to keep organized) #edtechchat
A4: Check out different conferences like @nacol and @SXSW to expand your network and for different resources. But I love to connect to my #PLN F2F at @cueinc and #ISTE18 There are so many but even try online conferences like #globaled18 going on right now. #edtechchat
A4. Extending conferences into Twitterland is something I am very interested in working toward. Even if not there others can share so much - it helps ingrain their learning and extends yours! #EdTechChat
It could be a hashtag, IRL, a movement like, #indieweb, a community like #ds106, an Open Source project, or volunteering to tutor reading. Spaces allow for knowledge brokering. #edtechchat
Take advantage of conferences even if you're not there, by following the hashtag. Or the hashtag for the non-attendees, like #notatiste (I lived on that one last summer!--glad I'm Chicago-bound this June!) #edtechchat
As a retired <-- detest that term :-) educator there was still SO much I wanted to accomplish to help others. Learned so much about education in 40 years how could I simply turn it off? Twitter changed my life!! #EdTechChat
Agreed! I apply to present at conference as the #techdir applying to other fields, or opening the conversation with other roles. Has been a game changer for my #PLN#edtechchat
A4: Check out different conferences like @nacol and @SXSW to expand your network and for different resources. But I love to connect to my #PLN F2F at @cueinc and #ISTE18 There are so many but even try online conferences like #globaled18 going on right now. #edtechchat
Brand new to Twitter! Love this quote. As I get more comfortable with using Twitter, I hope to use it more to connect and collaborate with other educators. #edtechchat
A4: What is fun when you go to a conference, you get to meet your #PLN in person! I have met so many of my good friends on #Twitter and then enjoyed our time together at conferences or on my podcast show. https://t.co/HO5MhPK9pd 😊 #edtechchat
I like using Serial with teaching research and close reading--my seniors this year are still talking about it (when they did it as juniors!) #edtechchat

Yes!! I do this. I have to always explain to my coworkers that I’m not trying to ditch them. A conference is a time to get out of your comfort zone and connect with others. Have to let go of the security blanket. #edtechchat
A1: It is important for teachers to have a PLN so they can continue to learn. We educators should know best that you can never learn enough and with the field constantly changing it is crucial that we follow those changes to best serve our kids #edtechchat
Agreed! And I'm gonna add the @LearnLaunch conference and other startup/accelerator events to the list - especially for the edtech crew! I've built great connections with the startup community that way #edtechchat
In reply to
@bbray27, @nacol, @sxsw, @cueinc, @LearnLaunch
A5 This is a great question with many possible answers!! if you are reading a book, follow the authors, find people who are passionate about what you are, #edtechchat
And with the power of technology our networks are not limited to our own back yards. We are connected more so than ever and thanks to that we can keep up with what teachers are doing across the country! #edtechchat
A5: Following both education & domain experts helps me balance theory and practice. I make connections so I can ask questions and also show my students that building connections is a matter of confidence/communication. Follow the people you'd love to talk with! #edtechchat
Honored to be mentioned @bbray27#BookCampPD is my passion as it guides amazing educators together to collaborate about their ideas centered around books they have read. #EdTechChat
#edtechchat A5 oh boy no pressure. Each person I follow is based on developing relationships with them over time and depends where you are on your educational journey.
A5 I would not recommend one specific person because all of you here tonight are amazing. However, I do recommend for you to lurk around to find your tribe. That group of tweeps who are like-minded and willing to help when called to action. #edtechchat
So many great edus out there. In sticking with the theme, my connections with @WickedDecent@ElaBenUr, @alicebarr, and @brholland all started digitally and grew to valuable connections that even include face to face chats. Wow! #EdTechChat
@Gregbaby I agree. I like Kara Swisher's quote (she is quoting someone else) the web can often be a mirrortocracy and not a meritocracy. It is unsafe for many because it was built by folks who never had to fear for safety. #edtechchat
I don't know if I've convinced people, but I've explained to non-Twitter users that you can create your own space here that doesn't include the bad parts that get all the press. The trick is that it doesn't sound like you're creating a bubble of like-minded people. #edtechchat
Just read about Serial in this educational tech class that I'm taking. Can you tell me some more about it and how you use it in your classroom? #edtechchat
In reply to
@mpilakow, @_joshuagarrett, @pNabbie, @SPFTech_Treglia, @GTeacherTribe, @RckStrPrincipal
A5 If I knew how to share the #BookCampPD list that is connected with my profile I would sure do this for they are dedicated educators to follow!! #EdTechChat
Just start blogging, make reflective practice part of your every day, take control of your feed by using tech like rss and not silo driven algorithms decide who is in your pln and what they share. #edtechchat
A5 going to say that joining in some of the chats, especially on Monday nights, you can connect with some great educators, follow the conversation, interact and start building PLN #edtechchat and another way to build is following #PLN365
A5 This is a hard one, because we all have specific interests my suggestion is to start following a few authors a few bloggers and join chats Once you start following certain people you will expand your #PLN based on what you find useful & interesting #edtechchat
I use it as a basis for a research project--students have to serve as a judge and decide whether Syed should be found guilty or not guilty. I provide the podcasts and court docs for support, but Ss also have to go out and find more research. Google Maps is great, too! #edtechchat
Just read about Serial in this educational tech class that I'm taking. Can you tell me some more about it and how you use it in your classroom? #edtechchat

Like-minded not in the sense of agreeing on everything. but having the same positive attitude... the kind of people they mean when they say to hang out with and focus your energies on the people who build you up. #edtechchat
A5 I would not recommend one specific person because all of you here tonight are amazing. However, I do recommend for you to lurk around to find your tribe. That group of tweeps who are like-minded and willing to help when called to action. #edtechchat
A5: I recommend following @inquiryfive . One of the best professors I have ever met. She practice inquiry-based teaching and has very interactive classes. #edtechchat
A5: Great to follow anyone who inspires & motivates you to be the best educator you can be. I really enjoy following those who can be co-learners alongside others. #edtechchat
A6 Too many to mention in a tweet, but the best part about the whole resource sharing experience is being able to solve a problem together for the benefit of our students. #EdTechChat
A6: Just hearing and seeing the new things teachers are trying and working on gives me the courage and reassurance that it is good to take a risk any try new things. #edtechchat
I am only recently learning through my class what a great professional resource Twitter can be. Tweet chats are a great way to start thinking about subjects and communicating. It gives you more chances to learn from people from other areas directly . #edtechchat
Actually if anyone in my #edtechchat PLN ever thought about the process of turning your WordPress blog into something powered by #indieweb technologies (You are already 75% of the done just having your own domain and controlling what you publish) please… https://t.co/lDwkIOnon8
A6 My most powerful resource is the people on my twitter feed! Also, there is a lot of power in a hashtag! I've learned so very much from others by joining chats following hashtags joining webinars listening to podcasts #edtechchat
I'm not ready to give up on the term "digital citizenship": I don't have another term yet to define this specific interest of mine that focuses on online spaces. The best digital citizenship conversations recognize the citizenship above the digital. #edtechchat
You’re welcome! I also use my own # when reading articles to keep track of great info. Better than highlighting, because I can always access my notes later without carrying articles or notebooks around. #edtechchat
A6: SO many books! Also attending #EdCamp , the people in my group are also daily resources, #flipgrid , twitter chats, podcasts (I'm addicted!), lots of other tech tools, conferences, hashtags #edtechchat
A6: Just hearing and seeing the new things teachers are trying and working on gives me the courage and reassurance that it is good to take a risk any try new things. #edtechchat

A6: The most helpful resource on Twitter are the People! I constantly am learning from my #PLN. Sometimes a new teacher joins and my eyes are open by the resources and stories. I am so in awe of teachers and all they do for kids. I feel honored to share their stories. #edtechchat
How much time is left in this chat& how many characters can I use? My PLN has taught me where to find last minute resources, advice on big projects, which conferences to attend, how to shake it off, how to celebrate it, and-most importantly-the beauty of a perfect gif #edtechchat

A6. When I began in education there weren't ANY books written about how to improve teaching literacy, only a few journals that professors at universities had - just think of how this has changed in the last 40 years! Amazing! #EdTechChat
A6: I don’t know if I can narrow the list down! Immeasurable number of instructional strategies, ed tech, innovative teaching and learning, creativity in all forms, collaboration, resources for anything in educ, communication skills, being a better person!#edtechchat
A6: new books, podcasts, and ideas from teachers, devs, open source software ppl and initiatives have been great. Twitter is a good way to keep up with policy issues and edtech news too, which I enjoy. #edtechchat
Awesome! And if it's not already in your education domain, I'd add social media experts to get better at being on here. You just might want to give the side-eye to self-proclaimed "influencers." #edtechchat
