So far as I'm aware, KS has not adopted the ISTE standards. But, I'm thinking of using them to help ss with dig. cit.
A1 Yes! Got them at ISTE. And yes we will be implementing them. Already are for most.

A1. They were a huge part of evaluation on lesson plans during undergrad in NJ. Implementing them in Iowa plans as well.

Q2 Why is it important to review how we use standards - especially when it comes to technology?
it is a very rewarding ministry, and great to do it as a couple ❤️
joined in March- will be teaching ms social studies in IA as part of a master's program.
A2: if we don't review/reflect we'll keep doing what we've always done. We won't grow and we'll be outdated.
A2, "best practice” needs to be best right? that requires regular review.
A2 need to check to make sure the road we're on is leading to destination. Standards help tell the good opp. from great
A2 It can guide, motivate and refresh curriculum. Help students become future ready.
A2 Because they define what and how we should be delivering content in our classroom-for our Ss as well.

A3. We are a BYOD campus with iPads and Laptops available. My favorite part? We are a GAFE school.
A3: we use data as well as good old F2F conversations w/ Ts and Ss.
A3 mostly ad hoc groups during other meetings or as needs arise. We could be more proactive, but hard went small staff

A3 We have a whole tech team that meets regularly. Being an Apple Distinguished school we need to be ahead

Good morning! Sorry for being tardy! A2 Stds like a roadmap. If u dont know where ur going, how do u know when u get there?
A3: integrate tech standards into subject area projects and rubrics. Not a tech grade it's a subject grade
saw some great things from ISTE about Google Apps, looking fwd to implementing a few of them this year.
Love the continuity of that! With technology continually changing, ongoing review is essential
