A1 I focus on life-centered issues/questions/etc that cross all disciplines. I make sure the room is full of tools to meet the Hundred languages of the whole child. Learning is set up for each student to navigate their own path. #K12ArtChat

A1: My student's art studio is choice based, so they create with materials they want to use. #k12artchat Some choose to paint their hands- interesting sensory input
A3 How does your perspective effect how you experience the world? How can we use art/design to persuade others? How does our visual culture impact our identity? How might we use the design process to solve ss selected problems? #K12ArtChat
#k12artchat Wonderful insight I am enjoying how much you are all willing to let your students find their own voices. I remember the teachers the most who let me learn by trial and error without judgment.

A1- I make sure my lessons/ projects are 'real world relevant' and I always give my students the element of 'choice' which differentiates one from the other #k12artchat
#K12ArtChat A3 Why are you doing this? How is this helping you grow? What are you trying to deliver? What do you need to learn? How can I support your learning?
A1 I create lessons based on & generally in partnership with my students rather than trying to adapt a set curriculum. It's more work but also more relevant learning. #K12ArtChat
A3 with my littles: what do you see? what makes you say that? What more can you find? What else can you add? When asked if they are finished I ask them back "Are you finished?" #K12ArtChat
