Hi Paula!!! We need to put our #4thchat planning on our bucket lists for this summer. Perhaps you, Jenn & I can figure out a day to set the sched. Worked really well this year!
I plan on doing some reading on responsive classroom. This is what my new district follows. I also hope to get some relaxing beach time in with my son and husband! #4thchat#sbpdchat
A1: Summer vacation begins at 2 p.m. this Wednesday! We head back on August 27th. We had about 6 snow days this year! Today some schools were cancelled due to extreme heat (not ours though). #4thchat
Hi Stephanie - Our district is working towards become a Responsive Classroom district. There is PD being offered for about 30 folks when we get out of school this year. #4thchat
I am doing great! How are you doing? It is extremely hot right now. Heat advisory for 3 days now. It isn't fun whenever it gets this hot. #4thchat#edu5213SBU
A2: Hard to choose just 1!!! Will spend a couple of weeks on the Cape (not consecutively). Love spending time w/ family & friends! And of course, READING!!!! #4thchat
A2: I am looking forward to my Florida trip the most. My husband and I are celebrating our anniversary. I cannot wait to get away for awhile. #4thchat#edu5213SBU
Primary mission this Summer is to take care of my wife who is recovering from cancer surgery. Presenting July 10th at #NAESP18 with @JulieDHasson on "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly of Principal-Teacher Relationships. Our Summer Fun and Learning page https://t.co/gERl06Npb9#4thchat
Q3: What books do you have on your TBR (to be read) list? Share which kids lit, YA, guilty pleasure titles, and professional books you’ll be reading this summer. #4thchat
A3: I'll be re-reading: Teach Like a Pirate by the fab @burgessdave w/ a group of teachers who are new to the Pirate life! Lost at School, by Ross Greene #4thchat
A4: I was trained in @responsiveclass, headed to our school retreat tomorrow, science training in July and working with state department in July. Busy! #4thchat
A3: Our school is facilitating a new ELA program next year. I will be reading the new books that go along with the units. Mark Twain books are a big topic too. #4thchat#edu5213SBU
A4: I'll be headed to ISTE; then in July I'll be teaching a course on Google Classroom in my district; then in Aug I will present a class on Twitter. May do some webinars! #4thchat
#BookCampPD - Question of the Day - Book, "Supporting Struggling Learners"
Why create an organized, flexible, and clutter-free classroom environment that welcomes and supports each and every student, so important, yet challenging for many educators?#LearnLAP#4thchat#nyEdChat
A4: I have loved going to ISTE in the past, but not in the cards this year. waa. I'll have to follow #notatiste! This summer I will be starting GATE training! #4thchat
Sadly I’m not going to ISTE toughies year, but I am attending the National Get Your Teach On Convention is San Diego which is at the same time. Really looking forward to it. #4thchat
A5: I FINALLY hopped on board the Flipgrid train at the end of the school year, and I'm in love with it. Will be coming up with lots of ways to use it this coming school year. So glad that Microsoft has now made it free for educators! #4thchat
A5: I am looking into Seesaw and Google Keep this summer. I am taking an EDU tech class this summer so I am being exposed to a lot of different apps and programs as well. #4thchat#edu5213SBU
This was a tool I shyed (sp) away from as I was nervous about the privacy policy - but I will look at it again. So many great ways to incorporate it. #4thchat
A5: Will be checking out @brainpop more. I can officially say that I am a Certified BrainPOP Educator - There is sooo much to it that I'd like to see how I can pull things together for some folks at school! #4thchat
#seesaw is amazing. So many ways you can use it. I love being able to have a portfolio of my students' digital work, since they do SO much on their iPads. Love the feature for family sharing, too. #4thchat
You can now password protect your grids, which I like. And since Microsoft is giving it to Educators, I have a feeling the security will be upped even more. #4thchat
I LOVE both of those tools. I think it is amazing that Google Keep can pull the text out of an image & transfer it into a Google Doc!!! The technology just keeps getting better. #4thchat
I am excited to try it out! The family part was so appealing. I was hoping to be able to share goals with families because our new curriculum focuses a lot on goal setting. #4thchat#edu5213SBU
I can’t believe I missed the GYTO one that was here in New Orleans. Heard from some others how much they enjoyed it. Loving the high energy aspect of it. #4thchat

It really is appealing. Next year I will be holding "Commenting Parties" to help families with meaningful comments! (This party is a @plnaugle idea! Thx Paula!) #4thchat

If ISTE isn’t in the cards for you this summer, think about joining the #notatiste18 Google Community. Lots of fun and you’ll get to see some of ISTE through periscopes. #4thchat
A3: I want to take some time this summer to reread Teach Like A Champion. We had the opportunity to read the book last summer and now that I've had a year to practice some of the strategies, I want to revisit the book. #4thchat#sbpdchat
Have also signed up the attend the Strobel Summit 2018 - 6 FREE online sessions beginning July 11 https://t.co/xuGgABaUsV (all about happiness and well-being in the classroom) #4thchat
Great idea to re-read it now that you've tried to implement some of it - might be even more relevant now & you'll get some different ideas!! #4thchat Thanks for sharing.
A2: I really want to take some time this summer to make some materials for my students to use and to solidify some activities. I feel like I have a wealth of resources but during the year, there's just too much to choose from and no time to create materials. #4thchat#sbpdchat
A7: Best take-away: I think giving challenges helps people rise to the occasion. Even 1st graders wanted to try something that others thought they couldn't do! & they did it! #4thchat (did that make sense?)
A8: Looking forward to spending some time with family in Pagosa Springs, CO in July. So much to do and sooo beautiful there! Much needed R & R. Important to recharge in the summer. #4thchat
