Good evening, #DitchBook crew! I'm likely on a school bus heading home from a softball game and may or may not be able to participate in person! Will schedule answers if possible!
Hey #DitchBook crew! I'm Scott, a tech integration specialist, ditching from NJ.

Hello Everyone here at the #ditchbook chat hour!
I'm Reba from Dallas. Educ Consultant w/ Houghton Mifflin Harcourt
Hey all! Evan Mosier, TEch Integrationist Lead Teacher from Davenport, Iowa joining you this evening. #ditchbook
Looking forward to @sdtitmas and @KarlyMoura to moderate!
A1: When a lesson has tech integration, the pedagogy is king, front and center, but the tech is enhancing either the connection to the content for Ss or is adding extra element of engagement. #DitchBook
Good evening, #DitchBook crew! I'm likely on a school bus heading home from a softball game and may or may not be able to participate in person! Will schedule answers if possible!
A1 The lesson should be student-centered, students are engaged and growing from the activity.
Devices definitely shouldn't be expensive calculators or "search machines." Not just an uploaded PDF file…
#DitchBook
A1: True tech integration is seamless...it's there to enhance the learning, not make it difficult or just "different." Ss are using tech as a vehicle to reach a deeper level of understanding with the focus on the content, not on the tool! #ditchbook
A1 A lesson with meaningful tech integration is one where the tech is not the focus but one of the vehicles used to show what the students know. #DitchBook
A1: Tech is seamless, in a way invisible, because learning objective remains key & tech is part of enhancing/transforming what should already be a lesson focused on student learning-not just tech time.#ditchbook
A1: Students are more engaged and digging deeper into material than they would be without technology. We can’t use tech just for the sake of using tech. We can’t just upload our worksheet and call it “meaningful”
#ditchbook
A3: Students are completely immersed and engaged in the material - the technology is serving as a catalyst for heightened curiosity & learning! #DitchBook
A1: Meaningful tech means meaningful experiences for our students. If the lesson could easily be done with no (or low) tech, it likely wasn't an effective use of tools that are available #DitchBook
A1: If a lesson has technology integrated with meaning than the technology must be a tool used by students. The meaning is in how students figure how the tool can be used to it's upmost potential. Otherwise it's just a fancier way of delivering the same old, same old. #ditchbook
A1. Who said tech has to be something u plug in!? Seamless transition to paper pencil and tech plugged in. Pencil is technology too. Just part of classroom culture #ditchbook
A1: A framework that can help us integrate tech with meaning:
Creating lessons that are ...
Different
Innovative
Tech-laden
Creative
Hands-on
Post: https://t.co/icUeETZAQ8#DitchBook
A1: Ss are engaged. Thinking critically, creating, communicating, and collaborating in digital space. Tech tools are used with a purpose not for the sake of using technology. #DitchBook
A1: Lessons integrated with tech needs a follow through for kids to see where the teacher is leading. Kids want to know where and what they are learning. #DitchBook
a1 Like any other lesson -- the technology doesn't matter as much as the engagement and authentic learning of the students. I always tell Ts sometimes the best tech is a piece of paper. #DitchBook
A1: Technology being used as a tool for students to make sense of their learning, guide their own learning, show their thinking, or collaborate with others #DitchBook
A1 Andrea - DIgital coach from SC joining in. Real engagement where Ss are digging deeper, asking questions, creating and collaborating far and wide. #DitchBook
A1: it is not the central focus of the lesson, instead it is an engaging way for Ss to show what they know. Possibly with a wider audience than just the teacher. #DitchBook
A1: Tech serves as the vehicle that takes learners on a journey to astounding places. The learning culture thrives when the planning and preparation of the lesson is purposeful. #DitchBook
Yep! And I promise to stay nearby. No more slumming in Brooklyn Center, MN, next to the FBI building. I heard @snej80 will be there also. No @JoyceBronwyn, tho. :( #ditchbook
So much great research on this lately. Learning Transformed book has some great stuff on this #LT8Keys#ditchbook
Too many schools & Ts just putting tech on top or at the S of SAMR #FailBoat
A2: I plan to use @desmos and Google Docs/Slides. I’m in an educational technology class right this semester, so I’m looking forward to learning all the things!
#ditchbook
A1: at the beginning of the year I was too focused on tech. I changed my mindset and have been focused completely on student engagement. If tech can enhance learning and add meaning, I’ll use it. #DitchBook
A1.2: I stress that it's good pedagogy and not the tech that makes a great lesson but that tech is important when used properly to give engagement & differentiation #ditchbook
A2: Always start with #gsuiteedu then some @Flipgrid@Seesaw & @padlet I like a bunch of tools out there but those are always my top ones. AND they can be used across devices! #DitchBook
Currently using Google Slides for Station Rotations - did a #eduprotocols lesson based on Cybersandwich - oh and of course @Newsela - for everything! #DitchBook
A1: The lesson has students choosing what they want to learn and how they want to learn it. Differentiated engagement, student curiosity, collaboration, opportunity, experimentation, lots of lightbulbs turning on! Technology is tool, learning is the outcome! #DitchBook
A1: Tech should always be a tool to enhance learning but the lesson should have a desired outcome first, a teaching strategy second, and THEN think about which tech tool could assist Ss to deepen their learning! #DitchBook
A2: I use #GAFE on a daily basis of course...couldn't live without them! Google Classroom is a life saver this year. Finding more opportunities to regularly include @flipgrid because it's just awesome...@nearpod and @brainpop as well! #ditchbook
#DitchBook A2 @Skype, @Google Hangouts & @Apple FaceTime. We have been working to build lessons beyond the walls of the classroom. Mystery Skype/Hangouts have been great tools to teach geography skills and culture.
A1: A lesson that integrates technology is seamless and objective driven with technology enhancing not distracting from your learning goals. #DitchBook
A2: Loving @Flipgrid, @nearpod, and @Screencastify right now. One of my favorite tools to see students use for projects is a mash of Screencastify and Minecraft. #DitchBook
A2: Currently using Google Slides for Station Rotations - did a #eduprotocols lesson based on Cybersandwich - oh and of course @Newsela - for everything! #DitchBook
A2: Evernote is my TOP tool. Then Dropbox, Screencast-O-Matic and then the Ss can use them as well. I want them and myself to research, create, find, store, deliver and LEARN #ditchbook
A2 Keep it Google, y'all. If I can't do it with Docs, Sheets, Slides, or Drawings, I don't need to waste much more of my time. Focusing on versatile apps that do a lot saves time with Ss and Ts #DitchBook
Played with the new picture support function on immersive reader today. So awesome for my students with autism - can't wait to share it with other teachers. #DitchBook
A2: My go-to #ditchbook tool is whole class Google slides to make thinking visible and provide easy workflow for peer to peer and teacher to student feedback.

A1 Tech is weaved throughout the learning for Ss to communicate thinking, share ideas, collaborate and create. These can be in little spurts. Tech isn't an "event", it's a tool for solid pedagogy #ditchbook
A2: well I’d be a bit biased. Besides the obvious one - I love @Go4Schools and I love @soundtrap - also love toontastic. The best of all? Smash em together for learning and teaching.
#ditchbook
A1 The tech is not the focus of the learning. It is in the background but accelerating things. I think it involves empowering students in addition to engaging them. I seek to use it to connect Ss to the real world, whether through connecting w others or the community. #ditchbook
A2: @Evernote is my TOP tool. Then @Dropbox, Screencast-O-Matic and then the Ss can use them as well. I want them and myself to research, create, find, store, deliver and LEARN #ditchbook
A1: Recently did a VR trip to Chernobyl and took kids where we could not have physically gone. Tech took this lesson on energy to a new level. #ditchbook
Q1: Sts have the ability to take control of their learning, also tech leads to an abundance of resources to be at the Sts’ fingertips that would otherwise be unobtainable $$ if traditional methods were used #DitchBook
A1: The technology enhances the lesson: allows for better feedback form peers or teachers, greater engagement, differentiation, student centered learning. #DitchBook
A2: So much can be done with @Flipgrid. That tool, in and of itself, works to level the playing field in any environment. Gives students access to say things that they may not have the confidence to say in person. G-Suite, also money. #ditchbook
#ditchbook Totally agree as my students right now in Australia are using technology to #appsmash#animoto and #flipgrid as they spread the word around the world that water is precious @_on11
Saw an article going around that said Ss hate S-centered, focus was on Ss not liking other Ss taking control of class & behavior rather than true Ss-centered, frustrating #DitchBook
A2: @Flipgrid, @Seesaw, @Skype, GHO, & @nearpod are favorites in my 1st grade classroom!! So thankful to be 1:1 w/ technology!! It has been a game changer!! #ditchbook
RT for a chance to win some #DitchBook swag!

Bwahahahaha! I want to write a cover blurb for it ...
"Josh Howard beautifully and artistically combines breakfast breads, educational technology and innovation in a winning piece of prose. You won't regret this one ... unless you love pancakes more than waffles." #DitchBook
My go to tools to ditch the textbook are design thinking for industrial arts, screencastify and YouTube for CAD and teacherspayteachers for Spanish #ditchbook
A2: So much can be done with @Flipgrid. That tool, in and of itself, works to level the playing field in any environment. Gives students access to say things that they may not have the confidence to say in person. G-Suite, also money. #ditchbook
A1: Tech is used for more than answering questions, but it leads students to ask new questions. It generates “What if’s?” and possibly new student created tech #DitchBook
A1: The technology enhances the lesson: allows for better feedback from peers or teachers, greater engagement, differentiation, student centered learning. #DitchBook
A2: my go to #1 tool will sound funny but student cameras enabled. I'm a virtual teacher and insist that we make connections and see each other's faces to build those relationships #DitchBook
Screencastify is great for practical uses like feedback or process videos, but it's also such an amazing way for students to make creative videos! Record animations in slides! My fave! #ditchbook
In reply to
@CrabtreeHMS, @kristi_daws, @GoogleForEdu, @Screencastify
A2: it’s gotta be about creativity. Making things for authentic audiences. Whatever the curriculum - creativity is the pedagogy. Math for example...
#ditchbook
A3: No time for tech? Seriously? How can we prepare Ss if we don't use it/take time to learn or educate ourselves on tools that are available to help our Ss achieve their goals? How do we NOT tap into the power of tech to deliver experts to Ss? Collab? Communication? #DitchBook
A3 It's really important for everyone to realize that technology enhances learning.
As a Tech Integration Specialist, I feel like it’s my job to have the conversation about exactly HOW technology will enhance a current instructional practice. #DitchBook
Q2: Google apps!! Also, love using Adobe Apps for easy phone scans and digital print work. Pear Deck and Quizizz for formatives etc.. So many options :) #DitchBook
A3: As they check their Facebook? It's the way of the world! Technology is everywhere and something we can no longer ignore. Shout the benefits of classroom tech from the rooftops! They'll want to join in on the fun when they see the benefits and opportunities #ditchbook
A2a Last summer I facilitated #ditchbook and #launchbook book studies! Loved both books and the examples are easy to read and to try out in the classroom! #moedchat
A3: Technology has been implemented as a component of efficiency and productivity in our classrooms and life - our students should and need to be exposed - not a time issue - it's a must issue! #DitchBook
A3: Yet...They don't have time YET. Same for "I'm not good with technology." They aren't good with technology YET. All it takes is patience and listening to why they feel that way. #DitchBook
#DitchBook A2: If you haven't tried @Flipgrid you're missing out! Fantastic tool for potential class and WORLD collaborations, letting students show what they know, research, and so much more! #Flipgridfever
A3 I tell colleagues that the tech will help them to increase their time. It helps with organization, makes assessment easier, and offers engaging activities outside of class time. #DitchBook
At first, a student centered approach makes kids feel uncomfortable. But it is great for learning. Embrace the fear. https://t.co/PCYzGPmVr9

@MViTDiTeach, @sdtitmas, @ImposterTeacher
A3: I just read a blog post by @Catlin_Tucker today where she talks about having students do more of the work (which also = more learning) which allows teachers more time to develop lessons. #DitchBook
A3: Let me "run" with you. Let's do this together. Let me take your class and I will infuse the tech, teach you how to make it work, and be available to support you when you are on your own. TOGETHER, we got this! #ditchbook
A3: I’d say technology is not a separate “thing!” It should be integrated to enhance teaching and learning...it’s worth the time to learn all it can provide both Ss and Ts! #ditchbook
A3: Technology is not something that has to take extra time. It can actually save you time as an educator and make you more available for your students. #DitchBook
A3: “Technology will not replace great teachers, but technology in the hands of great teachers can be transformational.” - @gcouros#DitchBook#toptennteaching
A3b: Seriously, I offer to help! I offer for them to come and watch me teach with tech and I always make it a priority to help those who ask/need it! #Ditchbook
OMG you should see these videos the kids made for World Water just now better then I could ever do. One boy Tyrone asked to take a photo of me after watching this https://t.co/k0NSU9N66B I can see why. Take a peek. #ditchbook
In reply to
@_on11, @KarlyMoura, @snej80, @megan_hacholski
A3: I send in the student techs to help do the PD! Its about taking the time. Ts take the time to do many diff. activities, learning a new skill or tool is part of the job. #ditchbook
A3: It's not about them. It's about giving the Ss the opportunities they need to grow & be prepared for. Need to be blunt sometimes. #ditchbook (Much easier for an outsider to say - but necessary)
A2: I like to #flippedlearning with @YouTube. I have been loving my own hyerdocs lately. Guided learning with a creative project at the end. #ditchbook
A3: Better get off the tracks because the train is coming through. You can either hop on board or be left at the station. Teaching with technology is about the journey, not the destination. You want to hop on board so you can see what students are capable of! #DitchBook
#DitchBook A3 One of my goals as a technology coach is to get a Teacher to become comfortable with one technology concept and build from there. Build on each success!
A3 As a TOSA I offer to come in and co-teach a lesson with them and help them plan to integrate tech into something that they already do. I get it. We don't have a lot of time. I want to help them integrate meaningfully not tell them to do something extra.
#DitchBook
A3: I show them a list of the many standards, 4 Cs, and teacher evaluation items that can be done WHILE they are interacting with students instead of standing at the front of the room #DitchBook#timesaver
A3: Do you have time to search pinterest? Do you have time to order that latte? How do you function without tech? I really don't say these but I want to. #Ditchbook
A3b: Seriously, I offer to help! I offer for them to come and watch me teach with tech and I always make it a priority to help those who ask/need it! #Ditchbook
A3: I attempt to convince them that this is the direction students are going and in order to have more impactful lessons, a technology element would strengthen them. #ditchbook
A3.2: I have to also stress to do it in doses so that Ts don't feel overwhelmed or like they are going through the motions for another district initiative. Its important to show them how it helps them now! #ditchbook
Great point -- one my first ways to get reluctant Ts on board with tech is to show them how much easier it makes their lives. "Want to spend less time in the copy room??? Let me show you this thing called Google Classroom...." #DitchBook
A3: I'd say, "Well...let's sit down and figure out how we can make time to use this tool to benefit your students and their future. How can I help you?" #ditchbook
A2:I have used @goswivl to deliver lectures and facilitate conversations, iTunes to demystify PBL cycles and structure lessons, @Flipgrid@TheAnswerPad@FlipQuizMe for formatives, and any creation app Ss want to use for projects and solutions! #ditchbook
A3. Tech makes good teachers even better. I try to share with Ts who are concerned with time that tech is a time saver, provides quick formative data for instructional planning, and helps with organization...not to mention the impact it has on student learning😀😀 #DitchBook
This thought was the inspiration for this chat actually! @SEANJFAHEY and I had this conversation in the midst of a frustrating day for me haha #DitchBook
A3 If you say you don't have time for technology, I hope you mean your kicking butt enough that you don't need to make the time for technology #ditchbook
A3: Tech tools have saved me time and the immediate assessment and feedback ability is priceless!! As I always say learn ONE tool really well before moving to another. Don’t Get overwhelmed with mastering them all in one day. #DitchBook
A3: They need to understand that this isn't "another thing". Developing better lessons should be what they're always striving for. Why would we ever settle for "good enough"? #ditchbook
A3: I'd say tech can be a time saver. Sure, it takes awhile to learn and it does change, but it's worth the investment of time upfront because you'll get it all back and more later. #DitchBook
A3: This statement is really more about priorities, technology isn’t a priority for everyone. I believe it is my job next to share a few ways that technology can make their lessons even better...start small...#DitchBook
A3.2: I will be there to support any teacher who may fear using technology. Always happy to model lessons, provide PD, support, encourage, listen. Supporting teachers in trying new things is critical to their success. #DitchBook
A3: Snarky reply: "You don't have time to be a better teacher and serve your students the way you should!" Actual answer: "Try something small, don't overwhelm yourself or your students." #ditchbook
A3: I would respond with in the long run it can save you time. With technology tools Ss can become the driving force in the classroom doing more of the work instead of the T. #ditchbook
A3-Share what you are doing. My sister in law @renathunderhawk gave me this advice. It may seem silly, but when they hear how or what you are using it doesn’t seem so scary. I think ya just don’t like to feel insecure about topics/tools which can cause the hesitation. #ditchbook
A3: "Tell me more." I want to find out the reason behind the that artificial boundary. Does this person feel undertrained? Unsupported? Not confident? Do they feel that this is one more thing instead of an opportunity to streamline towards a better process? #ditchbook
A3 for reals...I do ask them where they are with their own tech and a goal they have for themselves and students. Have to meet them where they are. Model, model, model #ditchbook
A3: As a society, it is our job to teach our students how to be responsible for the use of technology. If we (teachers and parents) aren't showing the proper ways to use what is at the fingertips of our Ss, they're never going to understand the power in front of them. #Ditchbook
#ditchbook since I crashed your chat while in class here in Australia, if you get a minute I highly recommend you watch some of these videos my Ss have made to promote how precious UNBELIEVABLE https://t.co/Ie3XWXj3Y0
A3 I suggest that we make time for the new learning because we will make up that time on the back side. It’s an alternative, sometimes messy, that kids love. The gif is what I’d be thinking #DitchBook
A3: As a society, it is our job to teach our students how to be responsible for the use of technology. If we (teachers and parents) aren't showing the proper ways to use what is at the fingertips of our Ss, they're never going to understand the power in front of them. #Ditchbook
Agreed. I try to understand the perspective of all teachers. It's a "no judgment zone" with me. Tell me WHY you're not using it and we'll find a reason TOGETHER on why you should. #DitchBook
A4 Recently during a workshop, after being "questioned" for a few minutes on WHY, I showed the @MicrosoftEDU Immersive Reader feature. #MicDrop The teacher was literally sitting there with her jaw dropped in amazement!!! #DitchBook
A3: How do you not have time for technology? It connects you to students and their work in real time, as well as allows for more #studentvoice#ditchbook
Absolutely. If they need a little hand holding to get moving - I'll be there. If they just refuse to move forward, that's beyond my pay scale. #ditchbook
A3: Really I would ask more questions to find out what the real issue is. Are you afraid of it? Did you have a bad experience? Do you not know what to use? #ditchbook
Convincing @coachhill2011 to immerse his classes into the @GoogleForEdu tools. It's been amazing watching the class dynamic shift to a technology-centered, student-centered environment. Huge kudos to him!! #ditchbook
A3: Then they aren’t doing it right! Technology should be seamlessly integrated , and make students heard, empowered, and inspired! It doesn’t have to take extra time. Kids will figure it out if you don’t know the tool. Let them teach you or learn w/ them! #ditchbook

A4 An example of a big win is having my ELs recording a @flipgrid video in English when in class they won’t speak at all in front of their peers. The tech gives them a voice that I would have to wait months for otherwise. #DitchBook
A3: Yes, it is easier to flip through a stack of papers to give points. Do not use tech unless it saves you time and enhances the learning experience. #ditchbook
#DitchBook A4 We have taken our Ss to Russia, Canada, France, Denmark Sweden and Israel this year. Ss enjoyed the geography opportunity and the chance to talk and share culture with their new friends.
A4: This week in our Lab we flipped our plans and had the kids design their own games using @koduteam. I have never yelled and laughed so much in 18 years of teaching. Such an incredible experience. #ditchbook
A4: Finally getting my kids engaged in review with @quizlet LIVE! They created flash card sets, teamed up, collaborated, competed… it was rigorous, relevant, and FUN! #DitchBook#toptennteaching
A4: A teacher complained how the Ss using phones in class. I said use Today's Meet and post the questions or discussions on there and have them chat for a grade. Ss saw phones as tools & put them away and waited for use. #ditchbook
A4: My big win was when I had my kids give each other peer feedback using @Screencastify instead of written comments. They enjoyed the process of editing more. #DitchBook
A1 #DitchBook Ss take ownership, they can connect to the real world. Sometimes there are more questions than answers, but it opens it up to great conversations
A4: School win...we host movie nights after school 3x per year. Movie and popcorn for $5. Kids love it and show up! We used our profit to purchase @Flipgrid for the school!! #ditchbook
Today-I had one teacher ecstatic about how awesome @Seesaw is working for her Ss and another tweeted about a #hyperdoc she made and how the students shared out what they did! #DitchBook
A4: I did help out my mom's 2nd grade class with virtual tens stick manipulatives and it made their lesson on decomposing 3 digit numbers even better!
#ditchbook
A4: Giving the shy students a voice. Knowing exactly where every student is with learning a concept. Driving better personalized instruction. My top three wins with Tech! #DitchBook
A4: a big win for me is having Ss blog. 7th gr. Ss are creatively blogging as someone living for through the Middle Ages. 8th gr. Ss are blogging as a Federalist or Democratic Republican. I added my fav blog post by a student. #DitchBook
A4: As an admin I have been able to use @Flipgrid to share our #boldschool book study with educators across the country. Taking our book study beyond our school added value to our learning. Check out our blended learning study here! https://t.co/YecDmEY2VL Join us! #DitchBook
A4: Best example is when T practically hugged me for help building an amazing day of learning thanks to prepping Ss with @Schoology discussion board. #ditchbook
A4: Students made their own virtual field trips by #appsmashing@Screencastify with Google Maps. They then embedded their videos on a G site about their Biomes. #ditchbook
#DitchBook A4 The opportunity to have John Stamos speak with our Ss in the History of Rock and Roll Class. We have been fortunate to have some great history makers share their stories with our students.
Love getting to partner with kids and @scratch. Getting them to see that they can code is such a huge win. Understanding CS truly is a superpower. #ditchbook
A4: Sss created Author's purpose vids, 1 group created a commercial 4 our school w/o prompting, understood way better than any other years I did same lesson #DitchBook
A4: My big win was Ss creating CYOA stories in Google Forms (inspired by @jmattmiller ) and this year when we sent them to another school for feedback they gave their feedback with @Flipgrid. It was amazing! #ditchbook
Probably saying there’s not enough ‘time to learn how’. Some do have a disconnect when it comes to tech. I try to think about being asked to do something I don’t do well. Show, model, be patient. (I bet you’ve never heard of #ditchbok ) #ditchbook
A4: It’s not a personal win, but I’ve seen teachers engage their students over the weekend/over breaks using @Flipgrid. Think about it: students engaged in deep learning at home. It’s a WIN!! #DitchBook
I ditched the textbooks. No need when everything is at your fingertips. Took some time to curate what I wanted to use but with #GoogleClassroom its natural now! My Ss wouldn't have it any other way (and I've asked them!) #ditchbook
A4 With the help of some our amazing media specialist, we have implemented a pretty strong coding program using a variety of plugged and unplugged resources. We also have great Makerspaces. #DitchBook
A4: The biggest win is after a coaching demo...sometimes weeks later...when the teacher feels brave enough to try the tech on their own and sends me an email sharing their experiences. #DitchBook
A4: #globalcollaboration!! My Ss have learned so much this year from connecting w/ Ts & Ss across the 🌎 this year!! The relationships & learning that comes from these experiences is beyond anything I could get from a book!! #DitchBook
A4-#BookSnaps have awaken my kiddos to a world where they can’t wait to show how they are critically thinking in their books. They are actually asking to read during their can do time so that they can make a #BookSnaps Be still my ❤️#ditchbook
A4 (cont.) Today's meet give everybody a voice - https://t.co/PPxfGh183j
Display on the whiteboard and the Ss will use phones toward lesson. #ditchbook
A4: The kid that always refused to participate in class finally did when they could do it anonymously with @peardeck and a Today's Meet backchannel #ditchbook
A4 Biggest win is teaching computer science to all K-5 students @SunTerrace1. It's been SO fun and our kids are BRILLIANT! Love this quote from my kiddo Tyler. #DitchBook
I’ve got a super shy student who will not speak not me in class, but will talk the whole 90 seconds on a @Flipgrid video. Hard to imagine hearing from her without this tool. #DitchBook
A4: My kids love EVERYTHING about #appsmashing! Our most recent was a Texting Story > @Flipgrid app smash! Ss pretended to be one character from the story, describing another to themselves (all in a text message!) #DitchBookhttps://t.co/d8rrv0xtEq
A4 Had a junior high general music class featuring Ss who weren't that jazzed about music. Made music videos with iMovie. The most (typicially) un-engaged kids made the most creative videos ever! AND Went way beyond my expectations w/ visual effects. #DitchBook
A5: I recently figured out how to use Doc Appender (add-on) with Google Forms, so students could give feedback to each other on a Form (rubric) and that student would instantly receive all the feedback on a Google Doc #DitchBook#techtalk#didthatmakesense?

A4: Connecting students who were suffering from weather-related issues via @YouTube - one of our rockstar teachers @Dleonard413 had his class provide smiles by reading stories to students in other states. #ditchbook
A4: teaching nonlinear writing I had students watch a flipped video on the history of horror—and then write, plan and produce their own films! Had 100 students stay on Friday over night and turned school into a set! It was amazing! 17 groups=17 films! #ditchbook
