The goal of #ntcamp was to bring new teachers into the conversation. And, guided by veteran educators. It was the un-teacher prep program - I’d love to revive it #edcamp
"Originally envisioned as a small program where experienced teachers would share tips with new teachers, #ntcamp was attended by more than 100 veteran educators from around the country who assembled at Boys' Latin Charter School at 8 a.m. on a 102-degree Saturday."
Looking for advice from fellow #edcamp organizers on getting people to sign up for an EdCamp getting off the ground. I'm all ears!!👂👂

@peterhreynolds so many of your beautiful books support the theme of our upcoming #edcamp for teachers- social and emotional learning 🧡✌🏻. Would you consider donating copies of any of your titles for giveaways?! Teachers love free books!
This is a huge benefit of an #EdCamp@EdcampUSA style PD it’s the “un-conference” & very informal where you can have workshop style presentations but also those meaningful & intentional conversations because everyone’s experience can be shared, there are no experts! #SecPhysEd
#caedchat A4a Embracing the #unconference model for PD. #EdCamp has made all the difference in my career since '13. It's introduced me to an amazing group of explorers/experimenters & practitioners..
A4: Attending #edcamp#cue#googlecamps meeting teachers doing amazing things, have impacted me the most. To where I want to go back to school and get additional degrees (let me pay for my kids colleges first!) #caedchat
Q4: Of all the degrees, certifications, or credentials you’ve acquired, which do you feel has made the most impact on your life as an educator? #caedchat
A7: I worked with some great teachers to organize one of the first #edcamp in Japan, @Edcampkansai Very empowering, personalized, and teacher-centric form of PD. Anyone can start one and @EdcampUSA is super helpful in helping to set them up! #caedchat
Q7: Stepping outside of college credit acquisition, what has been a form of professional development that you would encourage others to experience? (ie: a conference, book, or online group) #caedchat
