#caedchat is for California educators, by California educators. All are welcome as moderators and participants discuss issues that emerge in California education, which are generally applicable to other regions of the United States.
Tonight's conversation with @lohstorres1 on #caedchat is centered around Bringing The Learning Back.
You attended a conference, you got new learning... but now what?
Come share and learn with us.
I’ll be lurking tonight as folks share about #CUE18 but I wanted to share this with my #caedchat friends. All over CA we need to replant trees. Hope you’ll stop by for a visit.
Hi #caedchat folks, although I'm #NotAtCUE I was able to participate in @Newsela Certified Educator workshop at #cue18. I'll lurk tonight as I prepare for @CaledOrg conference next weekend!
A1: The people and the idea-sharing...love connecting and reconnecting with the PLN in person and hearing the awesome each of them is doing on their campuses!
#caedchat
A1: I'm motivated to attend events like #CUE18 to be surrounded by like-minded educators who are there because they want to be, not because they have to be. #CAedchat
A1: Knowing that there is waaay more out there to make me a better teacher/communicator. Knowing there are people to connect with and learn from. #caedchat
A1 Attending CUE helps fill my bucket of new learning. I am able to take away so much that I can then use in my own district. Eventually, what I learn and share impacts kids in a positive way #caedchat
Personally, I enjoy learning and becoming a better teacher. It's exciting to be able to bring back new activities and techniques to use in my classroom. I LOVE being around people who share my enthusiasm for teaching and trying crazy things! #caedchat
#caedchat Events like CUE bring like minded people together in an atmosphere that is built for sharing and interaction. I see these events more like “retreats”than conferences. So many resources and people willin* to share!
A1 I attend #PD & encourage my staff to attend to a) learn from experts in the field and b) learn from there peers who are at these conferences & workshops. Collaborate, share, & bring back knowledge to support our #scholars & #staff at @CompassCs! #caedchat
A1 Attending CUE helps fill my bucket of new learning. I am able to take away so much that I can then use in my own district. Eventually, what I learn and share impacts kids in a positive way #caedchat
A1: I am motivated to attend PD outside of my site because I want to continue to learn so I can be better at my craft. It helps t be around others who want the same thing. #caedchat
A1 It is necessary to venture beyond one's school/district for high quality PD that meets all 6 parts of the new Federal definition. #cuerockstar helps bridge the gap. https://t.co/HUoAORWkU2#caedchat
A1: inspiration from like-minded educators-I really didn't know what I was missing until a few years ago- I found out and has made all the difference #caedchat
Hi all! Amanda here from Campbell, CA... lucky to attend #cue18 this year!
A1: I like attending PD outside my district to help broaden my perspective #caedchat
A1: I love going and learning new things. Twitter is awesome to connect w other Ts, but conferences are great to put faces to names. Conferences help keep me motivated. #CAedchat
A1 It's all about learning. Learning about new ideas, learning from new individuals, seeing new sites, making connections and growing as an educator. #caedchat
Q1: TWO things motivate me, #1, learn as much as I can and find new things/strategies to share out. And #2, catch up and network with people. #CAedchat
A1: Sometimes professional development at district/site isn't what we need. We can take ownership of our PD by going beyond our district/site, including being here on Twitter! #caedchat
A1. I feel as an educator, PD is integral because if we use the phrase "lifelong learner" with our students we need to be willing to walk the walk and be one ourselves. There's always room to learn more. #caedchat
A1 It is necessary to venture beyond one's school/district for high quality PD that meets all 6 parts of the new Federal definition. #cuerockstar helps bridge the gap. https://t.co/HUoAORWkU2#caedchat
A2: I prefer attending with a colleague as long as it's the right colleague...
Someone to divide and conquer to expand the learning opportunities and share the experience.
You can't really talk about Spring (or Fall) CUE unless you experience it firsthand!
#caedchat
A2: I would love to attend with colleagues, but since none seem to want/desire to go I have learned to attend alone. That is why I love meeting others there. But I have to get better at talking to others. #caedchat
#caedchat A1b K-12 Ts & me enjoy a lot of the same constraints: time, $. How they creatively approach & solve challenges attracts like nobody’s business
A2: Share the love of learning with a friend.Sometimes it sticks more when you have someone to bounce the idea off of. It’s nice to have an extra set of eyes and ears to catch all the things you missed. #caedchat
A2 I prefer attending with colleagues... we chat in real time about what we learned and how we can implement. For those not in attendance, it’s like having to describe a really awesome movie and you just can’t do it justice #caedchat
A1: my reason why is the SYNERGYthat is created in the learning rooms. The vibe is intense. It’s like recharging my batteries, feeding my soul to give and create more. #caedchat
A2 Depends. To maximize #PD funds, great to bring a team & debrief throughout the training. I strive to maximize our resources to have the greatest impact on development & growth. #caedchat
Personally, I enjoy learning and becoming a better teacher. It's exciting to be able to bring back new activities and techniques to use in my classroom. I LOVE being around people who share my enthusiasm for teaching and trying crazy things! #caedchat
A2: Tough one... It has to be just the RIGHT colleague. Someone who respects my enthusiasm and my craziness there. I actually spend a lot of time alone, hopping around but I like the collaboration at dinner and after the conference
#caedchat
A2: It might come as a surprise, but I really don't like large crowds. Therefore, maybe one or two people. On top of that, the person/people who attend with me /need/ to be able to push & challenge my thinking.
#caedchat
A2. I prefer to attend with a colleague. There's always that feeling like you need to "divide and conquer" because there's so much to see and do. #caedchat
Oh yeah! 4th quarter is crazy in my classroom, that's why my students get all excited when I go to #CUE18 They can't wait to see everything I bring back and try out in class. :D #caedchat
A2: It might come as a surprise, but I really don't like large crowds. Therefore, maybe one or two people. On top of that, the person/people who attend with me /need/ to be able to push & challenge my thinking.
#caedchat
I'm 100% with you. There is something to be said about that personal time, the ownership of what I need to get from the conference without being pulled in an unwanted direction.
#caedchat
A2: Prefer with a colleague- and prefer to attend sessions together so that the energy can be shared when returning home. Nothing worse than seeing 'the thing that changes everything' and nobody else gets it. #CAedchat
A2: I love being w/colleagues and bond, but it's also cool to break out--love to go to sessions that are out of my content/comfort zone etc. and learn new things #caedchat
Exactly. We ventured out on our own this year and there was no pressure to go one direction or feeling like "we can't use this at our school". It was a try whatever we want and if we end up together cool! #caedchat
A2: Last yr we had a large group of us, 8+; this yr there were just 2. I had as much fun and learned from both equally. The introvert in me could definitely go it alone, but I do like to process out loud, so... #caedchat
A2: I'm an introverted extrovert (it's a real MBTI thing...level 2). So I actually really like the freedom of not being tethered to local colleagues. Besides...most of my "tribe" is elsewhere. I LOVE getting together with those. #caedchat
#caedchat A2a I go my own way to a conference. I like going off the well worn track to see what lay beyond. The drones I fly reveal lots from varying perspectives..
A2 love bringing along friends to conferences. My start in edtech and transforming learning started at a @cvcue conference, want to expose as many educators as possible to what happens when we change out teaching practices #caedchat
A2 I prefer to attend with colleagues. People take different things away from the same con. It is helpful to share ideas and brainstorm. Or with large conferences, more people can cover more ground. #caedchat
A2. Attendance with a colleague. Collaboration and discussion provokes retention of the material. Plus you can divide and conquer to take in more sessions. #caedchat
#caedchat A2b when I leave a conference I’m never alone. I carry with the ideas of presenters and those thoughts shared by the people I meet #iographer
I was so excited this year to have people ask me to sit with them, go to lunch, etc. I am hoping I can attend again next year and meet more people. #caedchat

Q3. How do you curate your learning during a day/series of professional development? #caedchat
--------------------------------
A3: This is one of the first things I do when I get back...
Sit, reflect, and check out the presos again. Love to have my notes in Google Docs to review later too!
#caedchat
-------------------------------
Q3. How do you curate your learning during a day/series of professional development? #caedchat
--------------------------------
A3: I send out bits of information in my weekly tech newsletters. During Staff meetings I get a couple of minutes to do a quick slam of something I learned as well as sharing with staff members individually on campus. #caedchat
-------------------------------
Q3. How do you curate your learning during a day/series of professional development? #caedchat
--------------------------------
A3 we had a large group so I set up a team drive. Didn’t work as well as I thought it would. Wi-Fi was questionable day 1 so I have some 📝 notes. Usually I have a google doc I populate with links and nuggets of info #caedchat
A3: I curate my learning in 2 stages-- When travelling w/a team we use a shared doc at the event. On my own, I like to use One Note so I can type & sketch thoughts. When I get home I reflect w/a blog post. Lots of blogging to do this week between #cue18 & #SXSWedu! #caedchat
A3: I throw all my goodies into a folder. I've done this for all the cons I've attended. It helps keep me and my Drive organized :)
This is mine from this year: https://t.co/Ykh4M1quNX#caedchat
-------------------------------
Q3. How do you curate your learning during a day/series of professional development? #caedchat
--------------------------------
A1 I'm a luddite & like taking notes by hand but even though I am too dumb for my smart phone, I snap pics, tweet and leave a digital bread crumb trail for myself and followers. #caedchat#casocstudies#ccss18

-------------------------------
Q3. How do you curate your learning during a day/series of professional development? #caedchat
--------------------------------
A3: review presentations, read through the notes I took. Click those extra links, check out more, find the presenter on Twitter.... start calling my team. #caedchat
A3: I take a crazy amount of notes. My phone is always filled with my thoughts, things I’ve heard, questions I want to ponder. I use google docs a lot. #caedchat
A3:
We put the groups resources in a shared folder.
Also create a bookmark folder for each conference with bookmarks to videos, slide decks, website, etc.
#caedchat
-------------------------------
Q3. How do you curate your learning during a day/series of professional development? #caedchat
--------------------------------
A3 - I try to take a ton of pics, drop them in a Google folder w each workshop/presentation in its own folder inside w G slides, my notes and pics. Share entire folder with anyone who wants a peek w an invitation to chat. Pics really help job my memory. #caedchat

A3: I always create a (level 1) hyperdoc of all the sessions I attend, and embed links to all the resources. I even grab them from the Sched and/or Twitter from sessions I didn't attend IRL and slap them in there, too! If with others, collaborative, of course! #caedchat
A2: I like attending conferences with others from my school site so we can support each other and follow up with each other, kind of like an accountability partner. But I like going to sessions solo, hearing from new people, and then bringing it back to my colleagues. #caedchat
takes awhile to get through all the tweets, follow and reply, organize all the prezos - file and get ready to share- so awesome to have so many resources! #caedchat

Q3. How do you curate your learning during a day/series of professional development? #caedchat
--------------------------------
A3 - Ive tried different things. First I just try to find time soon after to just stop and reflect, review slides and resources. I start arranging and trying things to share with others. I also love to talk with my Ss about what I've learned.
#caedchat
A3: We created a shared folder and all put our notes inside of it along with copies of the presentations. I also shared a lot out on Twitter with our #kerncue and local groups. #caedchat
-------------------------------
Q3. How do you curate your learning during a day/series of professional development? #caedchat

A3:I have everyone I go to the conference on the same google doc to take notes and then we all get together and discuss and look over the slides from the great sessions. #caedchat
A1 It is necessary to venture beyond one's school/district for high quality PD that meets all 6 parts of the new Federal definition. #cuerockstar helps bridge the gap. https://t.co/HUoAORWkU2#caedchat
I'm falling behind this year, but it has turned out to be a great way for me to reflect on lessons/events & be able to use those as a reference the next time I teach the lesson or share it w/a colleague #caedchat
I'm loving the variety in how people curate their learning at conferences. For me, it's taking pictures, copying down links, and being as present as possible. In the moment, I need to be *there*
#caedchat
Yes! Totally agree, Linda! Following the hashtag on Twitter is such a great way to document the experience, both during the conference and after. #CAedchat
A2: I like attending with colleagues. We can hit more sessions and share what we learn. If we go to the same sessions, we can confer with each other and "debrief". #caedchat
A3: It’s not about finding time it’s making time for me . I block out a few hours of my week to review and organize and review and decide on which one just one thing will I implement this week.#caedchat
Q3: I also appreciate when others tweet out shout outs and powerful thoughts while they are attending great sessions or conferences. I first learned about @gcouros via someone’s tweet. I’ve followed him ever since #caedchat
How can we improve teacher learning so it is sustained, job-embedded, intensive, classroom-focused, collaborative and data-driven? #caedchat#casocstudies#WeAreCUE
-------------------------------
Q3. How do you curate your learning during a day/series of professional development? #caedchat
--------------------------------
A3: I use a OneNote Notebook for everything, and I use the app on my phone. There’s a separate section for each session (so I can add additional pages as I gather more resources as time goes on). I can take pictures of important slides and annotate right under them! #caedchat
A4: Our principal asks that we share our learning/experiences w entire staff during our next fac mtg. He also encourages us to reach out directly to those we think would specifically benefit from an idea, presentation, topic, teacher, etc. #caedchat
A4: I'm going to use my #GrowthMindset here: None. #YET! Instead of griping about the (sad) current situation, I need to help be a part of the solution. I will work with the D.O. to figure out some systems that might improve how we do this! #caedchat
A2:I prefer to attend with colleagues with a divide and conquer kind of mindset. In the evening we try and have dinner and digest, reflect, and plan. Reflecting with colleagues is where all the implementing ideas begin. #caedchat
A4 no system in place. I am going to arrange for a debrief of the participants to voluntarily attend... maybe 3 minutes each to share our best takeaway ... a mini 💥 boom! #caedchat
A4: sadly, there is no system in place to share the learning after PD. I will share with my team if they are interested but otherwise I am not sure where to share with colleagues. I will share things like @seessaw and @flipgrid with Ss. #caedchat
A4 None. I’m trying to invent it at my school: Make conference attendance normal. Budget for it. Send attendees with expectations and deliverables. #CAedchat
A4: While sharing the learning when you get back is helpful, it doesn't go deep enough for me. There needs to be time for those who attended a conference/workshop/PD to help their colleagues *grow* from the experience.
#caedchat
A4: There's really no specific way to share learning unfortunately. I share info on my weekly tech newsletter. Before staff meetings, I give a quick slam of something I learned. Otherwise, I just share with colleagues on my own. #caedchat
A4: I'm going to use my #GrowthMindset here: None. #YET! Instead of griping about the (sad) current situation, I need to help be a part of the solution. I will work with the D.O. to figure out some systems that might improve how we do this! #caedchat
A4 We ask all of our @CompassCs staff to determine, when submitting their travel request, to share how they will share their knowledge w/their peers - department, division or all-staff report-out. We also share on @WorkplacebyFB. #caedchat
A4: We will designate time during an upcoming staff meeting for teachers who attended #CUE18 to share their learning with the rest of the staff. We'll also put together an online collection of resources to share. #CAedchat
A4 Sadly, not much, I begin by sharing with my grade level and cohort. Generally, I will just put together some PDs and try to get granted the time to present them. I put together resources for the staff and share as much as I can #caedchat
What do you envision that to look like? We've done an afternoon at our district and invited staff to come join us to learn and less than 10 people showed up. Otherwise schools share during their own staff meetings, but typically nothing more. #caedchat
#caedchat A4a The orgs I work with tend not to have a formal mechanism. When they do it’s mostly something Facebook-like or in the flavor of Microsoft Teams.
A4:As an administrator I ask that teachers attending share the wealth. I give them time to practice with students then ask them to share during a staff meeting. Teaching their colleagues makes them feel empowered. & it makes me super happy. #caedchat
A4: Noticing a growth opportunity for school and districts here! Sharing knowledge is the key to using common language and having common expectations. #caedchat#bendingED
A4: No systems officially. Most of the Ts who didn't go still interacted with #CUE18 thru my tweets. My principal, @MrPrincipalRock, was very active thru Twitter, email, and text while I was there. Our staff is always chatting, so nothing really goes undiscussed :) #CAedchat
A4: It is nice to see that my school is not alone in the no way to share! To me that is sad. But I know most Ts at my school would not attend anything set up anyway which is sadder. #caedchat
I envision a pullout day scheduled ~2 weeks after you get back from an event. Get a few folks who didn't attend to join you and you create actionable items from the learning you gained. Something measurable to show the value of the PD.
#caedchat
My district offers pd using an online menu throughout the year. Teachersor the DO offer to provide 1-2 hr after school sessions and teachers can come to earn their pd hours. (It's @jnetman1 district.) I love it!
#cue18#caedchat
A4: I always share our the things I have learned, before , during and after a conference. I reference where I learned things. As a District admin it is important that people know I am a teacher first. I prefer we all be “educators”. Less us and them #caedchat
Come experience PBIS Rewards at the 2018 APBS Conference, March 28-31, 2018 in sunny San Diego, CA. We will be sharing live demos of our PBIS management system, lots of positivity, and high fives! #caedchat#OrEdChathttps://t.co/cHjFAOmGE1
This may look like junk or messy but I finally finished sorting through all my training materials I use with educators! From building wth #legos to misc craft items, some may say I’m a hoarder but to the educator eye, I’m pretty well prepared lol #makerspace#earlyed
A4: We have a district event called CUEbits! Everyone who attended through district funds presents 1 favorite thing, and each speaker only has three minutes! It last about 90 minutes and brings back tons of ideas! @sportillo1357@Filibuster3@teacherkimj@techtrainerRJ#caedchat

@CAedchat I asked my faculty which #cue18 sessions they would want to attend and I tried to hit as many of those as possible. Each requester will get an into package back from “their” session, along with 1:1 training opportunities from me. #CAedchat
I gotta say, the answers to Q4 are really troubling. As a profession, we attend PD, but don't plant seeds beyond our own experience and small conversations. This needs to be addressed at your site, your district, as a whole.
#caedchat
A4 Conference attendees are asked to make a brief presentation to our (ILT) Instructional Leadership Team which recommends PD topics and funds workshops on technology apps. #caedchat#WeAreCUE
A2: w/ a colleague so I have someone to debrief with. We don’t always go to the same sessions but we meet up after to share & talk things out. My colleagues make me better at all times, so having their perspective when I’m learning new things is valuable to me. #CAedchat
It is sad that there are a lot of schools that don't have a system set up to share. My principal gives us time every staff meeting to return and report. Learn and then share is how we learn. #caedchat

If you are a principal, it is imperative that you give teachers a platform for sharing the learning after attending PD, then finding ways to improve the school based on what is shared.
Every time.
No excuses.
#caedchat
A1: I'm studying to be a FACS teacher (hopefully in CA) but I think I will be motivated to attend professional development to stay as current to new trends in different sectors of education as possible and network with others! #caedchat
Sad to say but your's is not the only school with that issue. Thankfully NOW a lot of my staff would attend, but a few years ago it would have been a different story. I think they're catching on to my type of crazy ;)
#caedchat
I ask for time to share, unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to make the agenda. And I am even the tech mentor on campus. Those who want to know, always ask. #caedchat
I have tried. I pay my own way because my site will only pay for PD they see as necessary. For ex. this year my team was suppose to go at site expense. In Jan. admin decided they did not want all 3 of us to go. So because I won my registration I went alone on my dime #caedchat
Q4: Our district literally spent thousands of dollars sending folks to #cue. This question makes me think that I need to find a way to have them share with others. Perhaps an example style share our #caedchat
My admin knows I will share regardless if it's part of the deal or not. It's just finding ways to share it that will be beneficial to others. But I agree, sharing should ALWAYS be part of the deal.

That's... unfortunate. And infuriating. Always know that your online PLN are yearning to learn, so the sharing doesn't have to end at the conference.
#caedchat
...and sometimes (just like with our students :) ), it takes multiple representations and repeated exposure before the learner is ready to take a risk and try it :) #caedchat

Thank you for sharing. There is a lot of learning packed into that moment. Can't wait to see your #cue18 moments. If you have already posted them, please let me know and I will search for them. #caedchat
A4: I don’t know that we have a system = bad news. A few of us came back from @CPMmath conference & I organized for each of us to do a 5 minute “Ignite” style presentation at our next math meeting bc I felt like if we didn’t we would never share! It was a hit! #CAedchat
Thanks for the shoutout @urbie! Last time I went to #EdCamp I did a little blog post to help me recall and capture everything I learned for colleagues that couldn't attend, as well as connecting w/ smart folks like @urbie on Twitter:) A4x #caedchathttps://t.co/K4cjK3FY2U

#caedchat A4z Back to stickers for a movement.. I browse educator hashtags to find interesting one. I bet others do too. Serendipity & curiosity have a role in curation, too. Slowly learning #blendedED
A2: I hope to do both! I think as long as you can connect with someone, you're able to bounce thoughts/ideas off of each other. New colleagues will be as good as current ones :) #caedchat
Yep, there has to be some sort of accountability. Sure, it makes that one teacher's classroom great, but at what expense? Can we get that learning out to more people? Yes. Yes we can. And we should.
#caedchat
I think it's also important to give Ts autonomy with PD in that they can (and should) choose sessions that apply to them. It needs to be personalized so they can truly take ownership over it! #caedchat

A5: A couple big takeaways: #BookSnaps in the classroom! Love that idea to show understanding of a students reading and all things #Hyperdocs <3 #caedchat
A5 giving all students a voice. Every teacher grades PK-12 needs to be using @Flipgrid and we need to get kids running TO our doors... not just for great lessons but because we need to #betheone#caedchat
A5: In addition to great sessions, the takeaway for me is the amazing learning that can take place via Twitter. I've been encouraging my teachers to plug into the amazing network of educators, and I'm now even more motivated to keep nudging them in this direction. :) #CAedchat
A5:I had a few BIG take seats but the one that just rocked my world is learning about the 55 #CriticalWords that all students MUST KNOW and understand to be successful or the SBAC. TU @TheTechProfe oh and the #RaspberryPi TU @EdTechAri#caedchat
Our folks are very collaborative and they all share but I think it would be great for those who need to be inspired, are on the verge of trying something new, could be exposed to the enthusiasm in a non threatening way. Win /win #caedchat
A5. I did not attend #CUE18 (bummer) because I attended Microsoft E2 Conference in Singapore. My take away 'Hit Refresh' by Satya Nadella. #CAedchat@satyanadella#mieexpert
Perhaps affiliates could hold some type of activity for #CUE conferences and invite attendees from their area to come and share along with those who want to learn? If schools aren't pushing to share why not start with the affiliates? :D #caedchat#kerncue

In terms of who attends in person, it’s usually the people who attended CUE and the people who were dying to go but couldn’t (scheduling, funding, etc). But we videotape the event, with the option for speakers to stand off to the side if they don’t want to be on camera #caedchat
Yes, pop into Twitter at least once a day...even for 5 minutes, you'll gain something! It's an amazing professional development community. Educators are always giving! #cue18#caedchat

The true test for schools is for them to build a culture of sharing, learning and collaborating with each other. Without that, you'll always just have pockets of success. #caedchat
Friday was a grand slam for me! Gamify (basically everything) and I attended the MEAT presentation by @MissGreenMath so much of what she does, I do, BUT she uses validation/codes to facilitate student pathway! GENIUS!!! #caedchat
A5 empowered to continue the fight helping high school make positive digital tatoo and value themselves despite the negative messages from media. Thanks @JCasaTodd@julnilsmith#caedchat
A5: @brentcoley's preso on Forms was outstanding! So many different ways to use them that never once occured to me. And seeing Autocrat in action, please, it was worth it, even tho I didn't win any Thin Mints 😞 #CAedchat

A3: There are so many good ideas & it can be overwhelming. To stay focused: I think about the goals I have for my Ss & my teaching & I attend sessions that support my goals. For me, it’s about getting my Ss to be braver problem solvers & better communicators. #CAedchat

#caedchat A5 This guy, @iOgrapher, sharing how to use this stuff to craft a story. I hope to share better stories going forward .. heard at #cue18 often: put the learning to work. Verb not noun — @austinkleon#reimaginePD
Something I'm a BIG proponent of is the reflection & practice piece AFTER you attend outside #PD. When I do PD w/ educators, they walk away with an online link at the very minimum for a follow-up chat online(I use zoom) or create a @Flipgrid for us to post on A4 #caedchat 1/2
I'll hold you to it. Looking forward to seeing the stuff you gained and what you can share back with the rest of us who didn't get to attend #CUE18#caedchat
I think the key to any conference is to use the things that you learned the very next time in class. Just try it! Even if it doesn't work you will remember it and it might work next time.#caedchat
Participating in a twitter chat is an assignment for one of my education courses at @ColoradoStateU! I'm hoping to teach in California so that's how I landed on this one, but this is a great graphic! Can't wait to share it with my class!
I was really blown away with Roni Habib’s session at #cue18 on Mindfullness and how it can help to make us better listeners, colleagues, teachers, fathers, etc. #CAedchat@EQ_Schools

A1: For a fresh perspective, to breathe fresh air, to be energized by others that want the same things as you: innovative ways to get Ss to learn & love math more. #CAedchat
A5: take away theme is to inspire Ss & Ts from @rushtonh. Also inspired by Antwon Lincoln to reframe a problem in a new way, @alicekeeler to try something outside my comfort zone (coding) and 3 TOSAs from Santee w/ awesome PD ideas #caedchat#cue18

Google docs allow for collaborative learning and create a web of knowledge for all of those involved, as others can fill in missing parts of your notes and vise versa. These docs allow for knowledge sharing between multiple perspectives and clinics. #caedchat
2/2 A4 PD can't just be something you attended for it to stick & be applied in your practice, it has to be reflected on, curated, discussed & tweaked as needed for you to use & you need a tribe to bounce the content off of too, otherwise it's wasted $$ & time for me #caedchat
I learned so much by presenting. @jcorippo ;) made me in the beginning and it was scary, but I #pushedthrough! It was well worth it and fun, too! So glad that I do! #CAedchat
