    A1 Culture is the shared beliefs, values and traditions that make a school unique. It develops over time. Climate is the feel of a school, how the environment effects stakeholders and how they perceive the school. #3rdchat

    A3 Admin ideally are what our board calls shepherd leaders. Not forcing change but facilitating it. Support from admin is encouraging for teachers who want to try new activities, programs etc. Admin can make a huge impact on culture. #3rdchat

    A4 Direct and honest conversations with all stakeholders : staff, students, families, community. Then look at what other schools have done in similar situations. Know that issues that an individual school is facing are not often unique to that school alone. #3rdchat

    A6a T's play a crucial role. Stay positive, explain the why, breathe life into the culture - rather than drain from it. It is important for teachers to keep the values and traditions alive in their classrooms while being open to trying new things. #3rdchat

    Coming back to my @WestJet reference ... A flight needs a flight plan to keep on track. A school needs a mission statement to keep on track. A few snacks and empty seats for elbow room don't hurt in either situation. ✈️🍫🤓#3rdchat

    One basic thing is framing schoolwide rules in positive ways (not "don't ___" but rather "be____") and rewarding students for following the rules correctly #3rdchat

    Q6: @SycamoreSprgsES is a new school in our district. There are smiles and true happiness from our Ts everywhere I look. That positivity radiates to our kiddos which is where it matters most! #3rdchat #sycaMOREyr1

    A7 Glad the character limit has increased. Our board is working towards every child having a champion at school. 🏆We have Champion Family Groups every month. Students have selected their own teacher champion and that is how the groups were made. #3rdchat
