I have been fortunate but I was physically threatened early in my education career and for a while felt unsafe.

Q2: What do you think a safe school environment looks like?

A1: there was never any clear policy that protected students from bullying at my elementary and middle school

A2 Inclusive, Accessible Teachers/Admin, Culture of hope, ample amount of opportunity for dialogue between students and staff

Q3: How does your school work to make you feel safe, mentally and physically?

Got sexual comments when I was walking by myself afterschool, and called a slur when participating in DOS. I was 14.

A2: Safe means so many diff things. But we should start with making school a place Ss aren't afraid to walk in.
