Q1. How does your summer reading differ than the reading you do the rest of the year?
Greetings from SF. Love this topic. Committed to reading for pleasure this summer!!!
We are down to half days and exams. Finish Thursday. Transitioning out of my job and prepping for new one :)
A1 During the summer, I catch up! I read both professional and books for fun.
catch up on tbr? I think my list is pushing 40 books... only 3 of which I have on hand... thank goodness!
A1: Prof. reading tends to be more exploratory, not something that needs to apply right away
A1: I *try to get to fiction, which is what I don’t really do at all during the year.
A1 I enjoy time for books to look for ways to continue to evolve. Time for deeper thinking books.
A1
Well, for one, I actually read the books most of the way through. Get so distracted during the year.
My summer reading is much more consistent and prolific. I can take CTA so I read a YA book in 2 days on the bus to work.
YES! I don't have time for the deep stuff during the school year.
A1 Love having time to just read and enjoy! I can finish a book in a day if I want.
A1 Watertank Math reads more strategic articles and journals to prepare as opposed to 'need an answer' reading during school
Loved Echo! Pax is on my list too!
You already have your summer planned there!
Good morning! Tuning in a bit late.
Summer reading is a mix of fiction & nonfiction, includes professional & personal interest nonfiction
A1 I read more in the summer because I have a more time. Major catch up time :)
A1: I have more time to read and also I am able to read outside in the summer.
It's amazing how new options open up to us when it comes to summer reading
A1: I can sit and finish a book in a day.
YES! I am headed to Barnes and Nobles shortly for a few titles
There's so much less pressure- I don't feel guilty if I dont get to use the idea
Q2. What types of books do you like to read most in the summer? Fiction, biography, etc..
I just love getting completely immersed in a good book, reading all day & not worrying about mundane stuff
Howdy, ya'll (I'm in souther Maine! Lol)
Then i find lists like these and discover more that I never heard about before, but must read now!

A4 need to balance reading against exercixe, helping take care of monastery grounds, planning for next year. Goal: balance
A4 read as much as possible. I don't normally read much and I hope to change that this summer
Yes! Balance is so hard during the school year that it is easier to achieve during the summer

For me, I really began to read about that mindset after I moved to it in my teaching
is a little overwhelming, don't try to read all the DCI sections at once. Focus on SEP and CCC first.
I always like to challenge that! Nothing like a healthy debate! I hope to find a while reading
