Casual, jeans & sneakers. I need to be comfortable and I move around classroom a lot. I wouldnt recommend for everyone, but I think my choice of clothes helps promote the vibe Im trying to create in the classroom #bfc530
#bfc530 I dress fairly casually at work. So much running around, it is hard to wear heels any more. I get lots of compliments on my Converse sneakers these days.

Most teachers dress professionally. Fewer and fewer wear ties including me. I hate them. Usually wear polo shirt and khakis. We have dress down Fridays and jeans are the norm. #bfc530
Needed to wear a tie everyday when I worked in CT. Always felt constricted.Came back to give a chapel talk a yr later & student who introduced me said one thing he always noticed was how much I hated ties b/c my knot was always loose, other kids nodded in agreement #bfc530
Comfort wins out. If I can’t do basic brain gym or yoga poses or walk laps out on the field with kids who need it, then I’m in too restrictive of an outfit. I can look professional and still be comfortable. Stretchy fabrics for the win. #bfc530
Last day today for me. Commencement ceremony which I love. 🎓 Gonna be a hot one in that auditorium!
Then strawberry social for wrap-up, goodbyes & roasts ☺
Then summer school starts next week!

Usually a button down w slacks and comfortable shoes, Jean Fridays at our school weekly as well. Rarely wear dresses and heels because I’m on the floor a lot w kids and we work out daily together. #bfc530

My daily dress varies- dresses to jeans- depending on what the day looks like, which clothes are clean, what we’re doing...middle schools are great places for self expression. #bfc530

Fall/Winter: Dress (@CalvinKlein are my faves) with boots and a cardigan/blazer
Spring/Summer: skirts, dresses with sandals and a cardigan.
Fridays: school or statement tees (typically from @teespring ) promoting social justice, history

We have a “no jeans” policy. I like my Carhartt workpants and a polo. Functional, lots of pockets, allows me freedom to move and work with the kids. #bfc530#stem#engineering#weareTSA#ruraled
