A2: I think having Ss (or yourself) record their goals that they have for the second semester gives them something to look back and reflect on as they journey towards their end goal. #FlipgridFever
Wish @CurranCentral was a student in your classroom, but so happy he gets to learn with you & your students every single day! The power of being a connected learner!!! #OurGlobalClassroom#FlipgridFever

A2: Hoping my Ss will embrace their personal reflection grids more and I need to do better and aiding them in this work to think more towards their goals #FlipgridFever
A2 We will be using @Flipgrid to keep artifacts and promote dialogue about individual performance giving and receiving critical, specific feedback. #FlipgridFever
A2 It could be used to help students connect with each other and push their classmates to reach their goals in a safe monitored environment. #FlipgridFever
A2a: My goal #oneword for 2018 is to make more #connections with educators, students, and families, and continue learning how to improve my instruction #FlipgridFever
A2: Use @Flipgrid for reflection!! Have Ss share a goal for 2018 & respond weekly to reflect on their progress towards meeting it! Would be great to show progress & hear the weekly updates!! #FlipgridFever
A2; If you have students saying their goals on #flipgrid, they can go back and revisit them whenever possible! PLUS they get to see their peers and can hold each other accountable/motivate each other. #flipgridfever
A2: One of my goals is to increase my Ss ownership in our classroom and their learning. #FlipgridFever helps in that by making their voices heard. My Ss love the "ideas" topic on our class grid. They share all kinds of questions and ideas with me/the class.
We had a share fair during our campus PD day. You could use different sessions to go to and others were presenting. So I suggested we set up a @Flipgrid for each session and have Ts share how they use that session in their classroom. #FlipgridFever
In reply to
@m_drez, @techamys, @Flipgrid, @Flipgrid

A2: I always think it's incredibly powerful to have a recording of what you originally set your goal to be. Let's be honest, if you write it down - you are likely to lose it, record it on @flipgrid and it's there...FOREVER! Accountability is truly what it is! #flipgridfever
A1: Currently I am planning a unit using #strengthsfinder. Students will being using @Flipgrid to reflect on their top 3 strengths and how they see those strengths in their everyday lives. #FlipgridFever

A2b: For my students, it's about helping them find their voice and be confident to share their thinking about math. I feel #FlipgridFever may be a way to support that goal!
A2: In our govern class, Ss develop points of view or discover biases over time. Reflecting on @Flipgrid on their views and how they have changed or not is good for self-reflection #FlipgridFever
@jesgarrigan This is for YOU!!! YOU do so much for all of us every single day! Happiest of HAPPY BIRTHDAYS to you from all of us! Check back cause there might be more!!! Thought this was a good way to wish you HB! #sdoltech#FlipgridFeverhttps://t.co/v1jAXL2KdS

A2: I’m really focused on fluency this year. My kiddos can read but aren’t fluent. Hopefully hearing themselves will make them better readers. We are working on less errors while reading #FlipgridFever
A2: Making goals public really hold you accpuntable, so posting them on Flipgrid is great! They could also reflect on their growth and progress, as well as each other's #FlipgridFever
A2: giving the students a voice will help drive home the meaning of each lesson. If students have a better understanding of topics they will have a higher chance of achieving goals! #FlipgridFever
A2 Having a response in Flipgrid about goal setting will allow Ss go back and rewatch to see if they are working towards that goal.
Ss could also respond to their own as way update progress of achieving that goal #flipgridfever
Global Buddies is a grid I started with my Year 5's last year. We made connections with classes in Norway, USA and Peru. I am looking at growing the grid this year to learn about other countries and learn new languages #flipgridfever
A2: One of our goals is to be more innovative in our traditional lessons. How about a green screen virtual wax museum for a whole grade level for famous Americans using Flipgrid? Oh yeahhh - making it HAPPEN! #flipgridfever
A2 By using it in conjunction with their Data Folders. They can share their current goals with classmates creating another level of accountability #FlipgridFever
A1: I plan on using Flipgrid to help connect and give a voice to the daughter of good friends of mine. She has OI and cannot go to school with other kids. I’ll be reaching out to some of you for ideas. #FlipgridFever

You have moved mountains and changed @UpstanderBrand’s world, Bronwyn. Thank you. And using your Ss’ voices, they can really show his @mbfxc’s #usetech4good can unite communities around the world. #FlipgridFever
In reply to
@JoyceBronwyn, @UpstanderBrand, @mbfxc
A2: I have been fighting so many demons to get this MEd and @FlipGrid is going to help me bring it home this year! For that, I'm really grateful! #FlipgridFever
A2: For my Ss, using @Flipgrid allows them to see how they progress in their proficiency over the semester. Most Ss have the goal to improve their speaking skills in French and now they have the tool to see where they started and how far they have grown. #FlipgridFever
A1: We are connecting with others for World Read Aloud, Thanking Board Members, Connecting for a Valentine project. We Skype with a class in Africa, trying to Flipgrid too. #FlipGridFever
A2: One awesome use of @Flipgrid is that a response can be recorded and tracked. For example, a speech could be "rough read" in the beginning before the final recording. Or a student could sight read a solo and then record a response b4 performing. Visual learning! #FlipgridFever
A2: My husband’s Technology Student Association is actually recording their goals and competitions they are planning to enter at the state conference. #FlipgridFever
A2: One way is for me (and them) to stop being afraid of hearing our own voices. Once we get past that we will be EMPOWERED by the power of our voice and I believe it will be a catalyst for us to be better than we were in 2017
#FlipgridFever
A2: One of my goals this year is to help my ELS students feel more speaking in English. I believe that Flipgrid is the perfect tool. It will eliminate the fear of failure in front of their peers. If they make a mistake they can simply delete and start over. #flipgridfever
Presenting @Flipgrid at a conference or your staff? First, THANK YOU so much for your support ❤️ Second, we’re here to help 🙌🏽

A2: I’m really going to take the idea of kindness and empathy to the next level. Flipgrid will allow me to track and spark new ideas on how to do this as a class. #FlipgridFever
A2: We reviewed expectations and set goals on Flipgrid when we came back from winter break. We reviewed those goals together as an advisory group and can help hold one another accountable. #FlipgridFever
So glad you have joined the chat tonight! Following #flipgridfever is a great way to get ideas for how to use @flipgrid in the classrom! We are all here to support one another!
A2: Having goals posted for peers to see helps students to hold each other accountable. Also being able revisit past goals and measure growth helps to promote a growth mindset. #flipgridfever
A2: they say that a goal not written down (or recorded on Flipgrid) is just a waste of time. We plan on using Flipgrid for grade level, PLC, and admin goals this year. If it’s visible and available, we’ll all be more inclined to achieve! #FlipGridFever
A2: It is a pathway for learning from and with others. My Ss will be able to reflect on their work, peer review, and reflect on their growth over time. #FlipgridFever
A1: Using it for all my projects! #OneWord2018 , coding, #geniushour , STEM challenges, coding, business pitch, student led tech help, & more! #FlipgridFever

A2: @flipgrid is the option for Ss who need to think through their thinking orally with no worry of finality. They can practice and use @flipgrid as a springboard at times. #flipgridfever
Q2: My prediction is that @Flipgrid Yearbooks will continue to become a VERY powerful thing throughout 2018 🚀 There are already 1000s of Yearbook Grids in progress that started in August of 2017. It’s not too late 📆 #flipgridfever
A2: I want it to be used to build confidence in themselves. The more they talk about the academic content the more it will help them build success. It empowers them to be teachers and leaders in the classroom. #FlipgridFever
A2 Students teaching and learning from each other. Hands on application of a skill while teaching others and having a real audience = more authentic learning. Students sharing their voice in school and library decision making with their suggestions. #flipgridfever
A2: You could have a grid for parents to ask questions about what’s going on in the school. Like for us, we are recently 1:1 and are just beginning NTI days. #FlipgridFever
This is why I love flipgrid for reading conferences. The Ss can here themselves back and the feedback is authentic as they can actually hear the areas they need to improve on and in most cases can identify their own goals. #flipgridfever
Have tried using the extension Dualless to help them split their screens while recording? This was a lifesavor in my classrooms last year! #FlipgridFever
A1: I will continue to use @Flipgrid to promote #studentvoice in my French classes. I want to give my Ss more chances to share their voice and collaborate with our partner school in France. #FlipgridFever
A1: I plan to use @Flipgrid to have my students reflect on their learning. THis is a nice introduction to Flipgrid and ist allows students to own what they've learned or are still confused on. #flipgridfever
Tish, it's crazy how many of us don't even like the sound of our own voice. I'll never forget my 1st graders using @Flipgrid for the first time..."I sound like that?" My response: Yes, you do, and you're awesome! 😀 #FlipgridFever
A2: I’m also empowering Ts to reach their professional goals. My elem music T wants Ss to compose and play music on the recorder - Flipgrid will showcase EVERYONE’S talent in one place! SCOOORE! #flipgridfever
This girl has endured so much, but she is a fighter. She’s my inspiration. She loves graphic design and robotics. I want her to interact with Ss and Ts working in these areas. #FlipgridFever

Q3: What types of lessons/collaborations could your students participate in to show them that their voice is vauled (by you and others)? #flipgridfever
A3 Would love to help other connect for a #FlipgridCollab ! I think anytime students have an authentic audience, they feel they're valued. Peer or teacher feedback plays a huge part. #FlipgridFever
A2 I'll be using @Flipgrid to offer a choice for students to display their learning, and also to connect with those outside of the classroom! Communication and collaboration! #FlipgridFever#FutureReady 🔥💚
A3: You could do a book study in the classroom… THEN after the class has finished the book, try to see if the author could go in and respond? #flipgridfever
A3: Buddy classes (same or diff grade levels), teaming up with a class from another school/district/county, Debate lessons, Peer Editing, Publishing Writing, etc. #FlipgridFever
A3: I’m working on something with @Goformative and an educator in South Africa. Stay tuned… guaranteed to value Ss’ voice as well as build collaboration for many educators once we test it out! #flipgridfever
#flipgrid
“We do not learn from experience... we learn from reflecting on experience.”
@Flipgrid reflections from Oceanside PROJECT EXTRA:
#FlipgridFever
A1: I am using flipgrid to prepare my ESOL students for the ACCESS test. They recorded themselves talking about a picture. Then as a class we gave feedback on how they could improve their speaking. #FlipgridFever
Ive done a similar this and used it to document different special activities in my class that Ss can go back and watch like when we did @breakoutEDU
A whole year long Flipgrid yearbook is an amazing idea! #FlipgridFever
In reply to
@design2research, @Flipgrid, @breakoutEDU
A3: I would like to team up with other student tech leaders in other schools so they could collaborate and practice using their voice with a real world audience weekly! #FlipgridFever
A3: @Flipgrid could be used to receive suggestions on school and policy suggestions or improvements from staff and students alike. This is an easy medium that could amplify student voice in their own school building. #FlipgridFever
Hi there! I’m in! We have a few grids we have set up (code upstanderbrand, successstoryparty), @MaddyLavoe@JoyceBronwyn would be great, too! #flipgridfever
A2: I’m thinking perhaps I can get Ts to share tech integration goals at beginning of year and continue using grid as goals are changed or reached #flipgridfever
A1: This year I pla on using flipgrid in both my science and technology classes. We'll use it to review old topics and spark discussion about new topics. We'll also use it to practice using new content vocabulary! #FlipgridFever
The improvement in my Ss reading fluency impacted their comprehension skills in a positive manner. The best results were from 2 Ss who were very shy & didn't talk much but made significant improvements by reading to flipgrid everynight and listening to themselves #flipgridfever
A3. A lesson where they teach a concept or demonstrate a skill that a student in another class or grade will watch. A topic to brainstorm ideas or give suggestions on a decision the school or teacher is mulling over. #flipgridfever
Were working towards student led conferences. Flipgrid gives students the chance to show and explain what it is they’re learning and how they’re mastering the content... in their OWN voice! #FlipGridFever
A3: Depending on how things go, want to reach out to elected officials (mayors, etc.) and see if/how many will talk to my students about their roles as we learn abt government #FlipgridFever
Q3: I've been thinking about STEM challenges Ss and parents can do at home and record w/ Flipgrid. When our Ss can connect w/ others about their learning process helps them feel valued #FlipgridFever
A3: I would love to partner with someone from another state or country to collaborate over a novel on Flipgrid. I think it would be a great way to expand the walls of our classroom. #flipgridfever
Especially with the #blizzardgeddon we got last night, right!! I woke up to nothing today, what a bummer, but the 2 hour delay was great I must admit. Glad my bosses look out for kids though and don't try to force the issue. #FlipgridFever
Great idea! They seem to care more about their project when more than just their friends are watching. Authentic audience drives creativity and student engagement! #FlipgridFever
A2: a Success Grid is one of my favorite ideas I’ve recently heard T’s starting to do. Adding different topics that S’s can record in to share a story about a success they witnessed another S having. Really powerful! #FlipgridFever
A1: This year I plan on using flipgrid in both my science and technology classes. We'll use it to review old topics and spark discussion about new topics. We'll also use it to practice using new content vocabulary! #FlipgridFever
A3: my 5th graders learned a lot working on their goals collaboration with their 2nd grade buddies. The first thing they had to learn was a little empathy and remember what it was like to be a 2nd grader. I would like to partner with other classes in the future #FlipgridFever
A3: We’re starting our unit on Africa this week. Students can have the opportunity to voice their opinions on Nelson Mandela and the apartheid government #FlipgridFever
#flipgridfever Join over 5000 Ss who have already shared their voices with the world, with 40+ lessons that get Ss thinking critically about themselves, others and making a change in the world. The true place to build global citizens https://t.co/RfO0x50sck
A2 my students need to have their voices heard! I've noticed that when they use flipgrid they feel so empowered and they want to do it again and again and I want to encourage that passion for Learning and for participating and for being engaged in the process!#FlipgridFever
A3: Student council sets up and runs flipgrid asking for Ss responses about what makes our school a place where students want to be. Ts respond to Ss telling them how they (Ts) will help make it possible. #FlipgridFever
Thanks, Charlie! As we all know, students who contribute to the process are more likely to own it and live it. Policies and procedures would be a terrific place for that! #FlipgridFever
A3: We also use @Flipgrid for book recommendations & book talks, which is huge for us amplifying #stuvoice in our library. We order what Ss request #FlipgridFever
A3: I wrote a lesson for anti-bullying project that involved global collaboration. @Flipgrid can be used to garner ideas on finding solutions to this growing issue. #FlipgridFever
Improvement is amazing as the feedback is so real. I also use flipgrid for my students to record their nightly reading and then jot down their goal for the next time they read. #flipgridfever
The improvement in my Ss reading fluency impacted their comprehension skills in a positive manner. The best results were from 2 Ss who were very shy & didn't talk much but made significant improvements by reading to flipgrid everynight and listening to themselves #flipgridfever
A2: My goals this year are to incorperate more technology so students won't feel so inexperienced when computer testing comes. #FlipgridFever#flipgrid#CobbCountyESOL
A3: Loved the idea from #DitchSummit (and others) to record reactions to webinars/workshops, so would like to add a response component to online modules teachers complete to share their learning, ask ?s, etc. #FlipgridFever
A3: Were working towards student led conferences. Flipgrid gives students the chance to show and explain what it is they’re learning and how they’re mastering the content... in their OWN voice! #FlipGridFever

A3: One of my professional goals this year is to get my students active on @JoyceBronwyn's #WhatIf grid. I would love to see them connect with other students from around the globe and see there is ~potentially~ a commonality in their thought! 🌎 #flipgridfever
I want to use @flipgrid to help prep my 8th graders' transition to high school. High Schoolers could give advice and 8th graders could ask questions which the High Schoolers could answer in the grid. #flipgridfever
A3: @MrMerrillsClass and I let our kids be "tech buddies". They learn and grow from each other, while learning and using technology. Most importantntly they are the creators and have total control of the process and product. #flipgridfever
#flipgridfever and the world Mitchel https://t.co/RfO0x50sck is easy to integrate into your classroom and will change your Ss experience with Flipgrid.
A3: We also use @Flipgrid for book recommendations & book talks, which is huge for us amplifying #stuvoice in our library. We order what Ss request #FlipgridFever
A3 I would love to use Flipgrid to collaborate with another grade level with the focus on vertical alignment. If both grades are working on a similar unit (place value, main idea, etc.), they could talk to each other about what they learning in their class #FlipgridFever
A3: My Ss are so shy. They have shot down all my ideas of collaborating with other schools and Ss. It’s kind of funny. One girl said, “We just want you to see our videos. Okay?” #FlipgridFever
A3: Having my Ss share with our partner school is such a great experience. I also want to allow them to communicate with other native speakers or even Peace Corps volunteersinFrench speaking countries. Allowing Ss the chance to share their voice shows them I care. #FlipgridFever
A3: @MapleWarriors is in transition. We will open fall ‘18 w/ a combo of new staff, Ss, & grade levels. Use @Flipgrid to begin discussions about changes w/ multiage group of Ss. Meet new faces that will make up community. Collect S input on renovation changes. #FlipgridFever
A3: As 8th gr students move to high school maybe 9th-12th graders could share some of their favorite tips about the transition. Even 6-8th could share with upcoming 5th graders. #FlipgridFever
A2 Part 1: I hope to use @Flipgrid to help my students reflect and stated their action steps towards their goals. #flipgridfever This way they can reflect on their progress along the way and replay their videos to see how far they have come!
A3 I use Flipgrid to promote leadership in my classroom, finding station masters who take in roles naturally and support for struggling students from peers without guiding or prompting. I teach the Ss to be teachers. #FlipgridFever
A3 Anything with a global connection is really special to my students they love the fact that someone in another country has taken the time to reply to them. The chatter back and fourth is powerful and sometimes very funny. #flipgridfever
A3 I would love to use Flipgrid to collaborate with another grade level with the focus on vertical alignment. If both grades are working on a similar unit (place value, main idea, etc.), they could talk to each other about what they learning in their class #FlipgridFever
A3: Ss can use for student lead conferences, provide feedback to peers, demonstrate a skill, provide feedback on a lesson or activity to the teacher... so many options! #flipgridfever
A3: Our school has an International Night where families can learn about cultures from around the world. I suggested this year having a gallery walk with flipgrid where students can talk about their countries. Many are on board. Can't wait to see how it turns out. #FlipgridFever
A3 Connecting my Ss with classes from other countries to exchange ideas. Connecting with students in Morocco shortly through @Flipgrid and @SkypeClassroom. #flipgridfever
A3: We have jumped on the bandwagon of #hashtags for vocab or content. We could use @Flipgrid as a way for the Ss to explain how they relate their personal #hashtag to the content. It allows them to be creative and heard. Others might learn too #FlipgridFever
A3: Asking for our Ss opinions instead of telling them what to think in government or SS is so important. Discussions help encourage empathy. #FlipgridFever
I want to use @flipgrid to help prep my 8th graders' transition to high school. High Schoolers could give advice and 8th graders could ask questions which the High Schoolers could answer in the grid. #flipgridfever
Yeah I'll send you the lesson, I wrote it for a Major Assessment and it was written prior to FlipGrid's existence. At the time, I integrated Skype. However, you could smash both for sure! #FlipgridFever
In reply to
@fmargret, @sdtitmas, @Flipgrid, @UpstanderBrand, @mbfxc
A3: We’ve teamed up with 1st grade buddies on several tech lessons. Helps my class develop leadership skills and exposes our buddies to new and innovative lessons. @amagnolo. #FlipgridFever
A3- I like the idea of a book discussion. As could give their insight about characters and how they can relate to them. Involve teachers who have read the book too. 🤔#FlipgridFever
YES! It’s a great platform for sharing acts of kindness and inspiring others! Imagine how much GOOD we can put in the world when we merge Flipgrid with kindness! Win-win! #flipgridfever
#flipgridfever Join over 5000 Ss who have already shared their voices with the world, with 40+ lessons that get Ss thinking critically about themselves, others and making a change in the world. The true place to build global citizens https://t.co/RfO0x50sck
A4 CHOICE!! I think AS important as #studentvoice is #studentchoice ! Anytime students have a voice/choice in their learning the engagement level will increase. #FlipgridFever
@Savvy_Educator - Bummed to have missed the webinar this evening. I'm sure it was amazing! Looking forward to catching up with it tomorrow. Our youngest son (10 month old) has an ear infection - no bueno! Looking forward to checking it out, though! #flipgridfever
A3: Collaboration between two classses in asking and answering questions about a topic, literature circles with novels, Student-led Conferences, student created newsletters... #FlipgridFever
A2: This year we will use @flipgrid to work on discussing our progress towards our goal and to ensure accountability for everyone involved! #FlipgridFever
A3 I think the most valuable collaborations that respect student voices are the ones where students get a reply to what they said. It shows someone listened to them. #FlipgridFever
A4: I don't have my own class now that I'm an EdTech Coach, but I plan to work w/Ts at my campuses to plan meaningful and relevant Flipgrid topics that amplify the voices of their Ss! This now means I'm reaching hundreds of Ss, instead of 25ish! #FlipgridFever
A3 the opioid epidemic is so strong in our region I would love to use @Flipgrid to hear student ideas on how to stop drug abuse #StudentVoice#FlipgridFever
Absolutely! Finding the individuals in the French speaking countries or Peace Corp volunteers may take time, but I’m up for a challenge because my Ss deserve it. #FlipGridFever
Also, think about how if you are working on two different pieces or places, where can you find the common ground? Last year I worked with another teacher about the Power of Psychology and blogged back and forth with our Ss. #flipgridfever
A3 I would love to use Flipgrid to collaborate with another grade level with the focus on vertical alignment. If both grades are working on a similar unit (place value, main idea, etc.), they could talk to each other about what they learning in their class #FlipgridFever
@NPMMVWeLab might be able to share stories of his experiences in Zimbabwe. We have to listen as we share, and he has a wonderful story to share. #flipgridfever
Just thinking about more ways to use @flipgrid. We have incoming K info night coming up soon. I think I'll have current Ss talk about our school and share with parents at info night. Let Ss voices tell our story! #flipgridfever
A4: I hope to make learning more engaging by getting them to the point where they’re designing the questions and leading the discussions. #FlipgridFever
A4-will let Ss express or answer in their own way! I can “differentiate” grids so that Ss are meet at their needs! Ss will be able to also share and express their ideas and goals on topics! #flipgridfever
A3 this year I am going to have some fun with attendance and have a daily Flipgrid sign in task as students arrive at school. Something as simple as say good morning singing. #FlipgridFever
Yeah, I tried something similar didn’t work. Even though they are 6th graders, they very eloquently said no and to respect the no. At least they know what they wantZ #FlipgridFever
A4: Ss are sharing opinions, figurative language, and getting ready to practice elements of good speaking. Seeing one another’s ideas really motivate them to have their voices heard. #flipgridfever
Just thinking about more ways to use @flipgrid. We have incoming K info night coming up soon. I think I'll have current Ss talk about our school and share with parents at info night. Let Ss voices tell our story! #flipgridfever
Just thinking about more ways to use @flipgrid. We have incoming K info night coming up soon. I think I'll have current Ss talk about our school and share with parents at info night. Let Ss voices tell our story! #flipgridfever
A4: Isnt this the goal and struggle for every activity in the classroom! Using Flipgrid provides the authentic audience that our social media crazed students love. 1 thing I really like to see done are Flipgrid “instructables” videos #FlipgridFever
A4: Just the recording of the video itself was engaging and meaningful to my students. Some of them have little tag lines "hey hey it's a brand new day. Gabby here." Another student does all of her #FlipgridFever videos as a "show" that reminds me of Sheldon's "Fun with Flags"
A4: I would love to either find a grid to share or make a grid where student's with disabilities can record a video sharing something about themselves. We are currently reading Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper and I'd love to make the novel more personal for Ss! #flipgridfever
A4: @Flipgrid is engaging by nature! Will continue to app smash and use to share as much of my Ss work as possible. Would love to make more relevant lessons possibly using news clips with some sort of discussion topic. Haven't really figured it all out yet. #flipgridfever
A2 Part 2: As for me, I decided to challenge myself and create a Grid for my boss that has a topic for each of my goals. Throughout the year, I will record reflection videos on my progress. Wish me luck! #FlipgridFever
A4. Use it for the kids to reteach/review topics that need it. Use it for timely events/occurrences. Let them work with a partner or Somali group sometimes #flipgridfever
A4: Another thing I've had my students do is to record a @Flipgrid of tips and tricks of what they've learned in class. Could potentially make for a neat discussion with new students. #FlipgridFever
A4: I want Ss to know that their voice is as important as ANYONE's else's. What they have to say matters! The world needs to hear each them and they deserve to be heard! And I'm going to do everything in my power to make that happen with this app! #FlipgridFever
A3: As 8th gr students move to high school maybe 9th-12th graders could share some of their favorite tips about the transition. Even 6-8th could share with upcoming 5th graders. #FlipgridFever
A4: Provide Ss w/ opportunities to share their voice & take ownership of their learning!! @Flipgrid is a phenomenal platform for Ss to share their ideas & learning and connect w/ others!! #FlipgridFever
A3: This year in my science classes I'd like to focus on connecting my students with scientists in the field to help them understand real-world applications of the content. I'm hoping @flipgrid can be the tool to help us achieve this! @OfficialNGSS@NSTA#flipgridfever
A4: I will allow my Ss to share on topics that are meaningful as relevant to them. I want them to share their stories with me while working on developing proficiency in French. #studentvoice is so powerful! #FlipgridFever
It is such a great tool! What I really love is that my quietest students love to talk on it! They are so much more animated and excited! #FlipGridFever
We are on this in 2018! Appsmashing with @BlipparEDU! Last year we used Google Drive and Blippar. This year it is Flipgrid all the way. AR meets #stuvoice! #FlipgridFever

@design2research, @Flipgrid, @BlipparEDU
A4: I would like to give one student a week "the floor". Letting them come up with a discussion question and starting conversation. Encouraging leadership in the classroom is key for me. #flipgridfever
Giving Ss a voice engages them from the start. Having them use those voices to make meaningful changes in our school culture makes it incredibly relevant.@Flipgrid gives all Ss a chance to have a voice and an impact. #FlipgridFever
A3: Answering this again cause I had an idea, how awesome would it be to make a Teacher Talk Topic, & have a T record a response quickly explaining/demo-ing new strategies & concepts taught. Ss that are absent could review it, they could reply back with questions.. #FlipgridFever
A4: Allowing them space to reflect on their successes and failures from each day while working in our @SmartLab_tweets Lab will only enhance the future engagements. #flipgridfever
That's why I believe in this app so much! It is a way to bring equity in the classroom, into PD, into the community, and anywhere a lone voice needs to be heard! #FlipgridFever
A4 let their #StudentVoice be heard. Give them a choice! Let them decide! Do they want to write about it, do they want to talk about it, or do they want to use #Sketchnotes to #showandtell about it #FlipgridFever
A4: Another thing I've had my students do is to record a @Flipgrid of tips and tricks of what they've learned in class. Could potentially make for a neat discussion with new students. #FlipgridFever
A4 I’m going to have my Ss pick the topics that we cover. This has worked well with reading choices now I will try it with oral responses. Choice & Voice. #flipgridfever
A4-We snowed in here in KY! If we use one of our NTI days soon, I could use @Flipgrid to have a discussion with the class! They would love it! Instead of writing a summary of your book, @flipgrid it! #FlipgridFever
A4: Giving Ss a voice engages them from the start. Having them use those voices to make meaningful changes in our school culture makes it incredibly relevant.@Flipgrid gives all Ss a chance to have a voice and an impact. #FlipgridFever
A4 Do What I always do make everyday the best day possible for my Ss, share their voice with the world and continue with my crazy classroom model - teaching the curriculum my way. #FlipgridFever
A4: In 2018, we will use @flipgrid to spark discussion and gain a valuable insight into the views and experiences of others outside our class and outside our communities! #flipgridfever
Now, you raise a good point here. They are open to sharing their voice to the the younger grades. That’s a great idea! Keep it within the school. #FlipgridFever
Pullin' at my heart strings on this one, Teresa. My family has been dramatically impacted by drug addiction and this would be a great message. #FlipgridFever
A3 the opioid epidemic is so strong in our region I would love to use @Flipgrid to hear student ideas on how to stop drug abuse #StudentVoice#FlipgridFever
A4: I am trying to incorporate more technology because my ESOL kiddos seem to be very shy and scared of it. Especially when they have to talk. #FlipgridFever
A4 It's important to allow Ss to not only record their own @Flipgrid responses, but reply to each othter as well! Further interactions = better understanding among classmates.#FlipgridFever
Sorry #flipgridfever family! Movie starting so I’ll try to hop on later and respond to the other Q’s! You guys have already blown me away with amazing ideas! Thank you!
I even did my end of year running records using flipgrid. Ss recorded levelled book they were up to, I listened to them all at home &made adjustments if needed. I have hard evidence of reading ability for the year 6 teachers #flipgridfever
A4: All can play!! You can get expert voices for Ss to learn from! Ss also get to be experts as they share their knowledge and ideas. It is authentic-speaking and listening skills-so many things to contribute-works with any subject or lesson!! #FlipgridFever#JounTogetherJanuary
Yesss! We have a grid for exactly that reason! And we have a form they use after to track votes! All designed by them! #stuvoice at its best! #flipgridfever
I'm an ITS...Looking to use @Flipgrid as exit tickets/reflection piece after PD sessions I run. Also adding it to tech team application process for next year #FlipgridFever
A3 I think the most valuable collaborations that respect student voices are the ones where students get a reply to what they said. It shows someone listened to them. #FlipgridFever
Absolutely! Finding the individuals in the French speaking countries or Peace Corp volunteers may take time, but I’m up for a challenge because my Ss deserve it. #FlipGridFever
A4: Just creating the video is engaging for my Ss, but if you allow them the choice of how to create and choice of content then it would be more relevant to them. I'm liking @KKeiser09 idea of FlipGrid Fridays #FlipgridFever
A5 Teacher collaboration leads to awesome learning experiences for teachers AND students! Whether it be working on the same grid/topic OR using the Discovery Library to share/get ideas. #FlipgridFeverhttps://t.co/FrwoPrhZfo
A2: Using FG is changing their level of motivation & engagement, knowing they are helping & effecting more than just me & our immediate group & in turn taking more ownership of their learning 💚 #FlipgridFever
A4: Just creating the video is engaging for my Ss, but if you allow them the choice of how to create and choice of content then it would be more relevant to them. I'm liking @KKeiser09 idea of FlipGrid Fridays #FlipgridFever
Love the idea of exit tickets!! I have them hold up a highlighter like a mic and share the highlights of the week. This could be fun on @Flipgrid#FlipgridFever
A5: You have to give the students feedback or the time is just wasted. However, you have to be willing to not be the person talking most of the time. #flipgridfever
A5: This seems to be ALL about collaboration. In the very short time I've been testing out #FlipgridFever getting and sharing ideas with your #PLN just improves your practice more!
Hey #FlipgridFever! Are you looking for something to do tomorrow night at 7 Central? How about #122edchat with @buncee champion @m_drez and @Flipgrid Ambassador Extraordinaire @JoyceBronwyn. This is going to be a 60-minute conversation that you don't want to miss being a part of.
A5: When Ts collaborate on creating a culture of respecting Ss voice, Ss notice the overall change in the whole atmosphere of the school environment. It becomes more welcoming and at ease #FlipgridFever
A5: I love to throw myself in the middle of a grid topic - the Ss know I am listening. It would be awesome to have other Ts around the building pop in as well. Gives a safe place to learn the platform as well. #FlipgridFever
Woohoo! Rushed back just in time for Q4 #FlipgridFever I will use @Flipgrid in 2018 for goal setting with my Ss and allow them to be sparked as coaches for intervention groups.
A5 I think it’s important for the teacher to model positive responses and create their own videos. Students love to see and learn more about their teacher. #FlipgridFever
A5: Every lesson I teach is an example of T collab! Ss see adults working together, building positive relationships and trying new things in a respectful way. Flipgrid brings everyone together! #flipgridfever
A5: Facilitator for sure! When I first started #PBL in my classroom it was tough giving up control, but so much awesomeness came from when I stepped back to allow them to step forward! #flipgridfever
A5: Ts LISTEN to Ss and reflect on what they have to say. Ts give FEEDBACK to Ss to let them know they were heard. Ts and Ss collaborate to improve school culture based on the reflection and feedback. #FlipgridFever
A5: when teachers collaborate, they bounce ideas off each other. Some of which work really well, and others that need to be scrapped. It’s always helpful to utilize your peers! They are there for a reason! #FlipgridFever
After they read they came to me and answered the questions, I noted this and then cross checked reading ability when watching the videos. Took 2 days rather than 3 weeks and I was able to continue to teach and not give busy work to get them done #flipgridfever
In reply to
@FriendsinFourth, @TxTechChick, @timlriley
A5-Ts can get ideas and collaborate based on needs and interest of Ss! They can pair up so other Ss can hear others opinion! Ss and Ts can learn and grow together! #flipgridfever
A5 The greatest role is it builds a community, in your school, state, country and what changed me as a teacher connections like this the global community of educators. #FlipgridFever
A5: Well for me, if I could find another class reading the same book we are, we could make a collaborative board of reflections on the novel. I think this would be incredibly powerful because, at times, I am not sure if my students are truly getting the msg! #flipgridfever
A5: I love to throw myself in the middle of a grid topic - the Ss know I am listening. It would be awesome to have other Ts around the building pop in as well. Gives a safe place to learn the platform as well. #FlipgridFever
I like that a lot! Have other Ts weigh in on discussions from a different class. The Ss would truly understand that it is an authentic convo, not just something they are doing for a grade #FlipgridFever
A5: Every lesson I teach is an example of T collab! Ss see adults working together, building positive relationships and trying new things in a respectful way. Flipgrid brings everyone together! #flipgridfever
A5: Teacher collaboration helps with making the lessons deeper and more intense. Two minds are better than one. Two voices are better than one. Two #flipgridfever fanatics are better than one!
A5: Collaboration w/ Ts & Ss is KEY in developing in-depth lessons. Each lesson I do is in collaboration w/ Ts and S interests, needs, and passions #FlipgridFever
A5: I love it when Topics are posted outside the classroom and other teachers decide to leave a response or a reply to students. Sometimes they are an expert in the area of the topic. #FlipgridFever
A5: I was thinking it would be great to set up a grid for my #2ndchat PLN to collaborate on. We are doing a Flipgrid slow chat in February. #flipgridfever
Ohhhhh - love Shark Tank! We had Ss record their problem/solution inventions on Flipgrid, but I like the idea of them working up a persuasive pitch! #flipgridfever
A2 Quality questioning is a campus focus and @Flipgrid is an amazing tool for Ts & Ss to use. QQ has 2B planned & Ts can post ahead on FG, Ss can watch & respond 2 each others post...its a win win #FlipgridFever
A5: Collaboration is so important. In order for my partnership to be successful, I have to plan with my partner teacher in France. I also gain so many ideas from my PLN. I also love the ideas on the @Flipgrid discovery library. #FlipgridFever
A5: I’m thinking I can propose that our tech avengers use FG as a helpline for tech issues. I’ll be the guide on the side. Avengers will provide the answers. #flipgridfever
This can be important in so many areas. In HS Ss learn more in 12th grade than they ever believed. They could share that with underclassmen to help them prepare #FlipgridFever
OOO I am all for this one! I assigned my Ss a grid at the start of the year and opened it up to all my kids and quickly learned the importance of this! We very quickly afterward did a "how to respond correctly" tutorial! #FlipgridFever#RookieMistake
Just started my free trial on @Flipgrid ! Will probably add it to my "EdTech This Week!" blog post this weekend! :) https://t.co/U5KKWCdkSd
Just watched videos, kids really express their thoughts clearly! #5thchat#FlipgridFever
A5: I like contributing to the convo & providing feedback to the kids! When we collaborate together, we learn more & gain new insights into our Ss & their thinking! #FlipgridFever
A5: As students begin to take the lead in Flipgrid discussions I would like to be a part of the conversation as a participant. Not only does this show students I am interested in the topic, but also models responses #flipgridfever
A5: I got another idea. Could put QR codes around the school when the grid is about promoting or reporting on paying it forward or RAK (random acts of kindness). #FlipgridFever
A5- Ss Love when the teacher jumps in! I will always add to the discussion when I get @flipgrid started! And it never hurts to have a surprise teacher guest chime in!! #FlipgridFever
Thanks, Scott! It was very impactful - Gr3 Ss could walk down the hall and pass an SCA candidate and say “I KNOW him!!” It was SO awesome!! #flipgridfever
A5 what a #timesaver Using flipgrid to collaborate saves so much time! It also allows teachers to organize lesson ideas in one location, share ideas with one another, plan for future lessons, and reflect on past successes or failures in the classroom! EZ peasy! #FlipgridFever
A5 It also releasing the fear many Ts have with technology. I know my Ts last year were fearful but after collaborating on our inquiry expo presentation in term3 https://t.co/5uXT79dFH7 Ts were wanting a second go in term 4 #FlipgridFever
A5: @Flipgrid could be used as a great way to share ideas with other Ts. It is also a great way to show ELA Ts how it is used in Sci. There are so many ways to share and collaborate with @Flipgrid#FlipgridFever
A5: Every time I look at Twitter, I find a new idea/activity to do in my classroom. Add in actual collaboration and planning with another teacher and it's basically gold. #FlipgridFever
A5 Ts could collaborate to brainstorm, give feedback, or show each other tricks. Could have classes work together to compete, teach, make cross curricular ties, and more! #FlipgridFever
You and your students have such wonderful things to say, Maddy! I can’t wait for #GKP18! That was just an amazing experience working with you! #flipgridfever
BONUS A: Every time I see a twee from someone who catches #flipgridfever or shows what they are doing, I’m inspired and my wheels start turning in my mind! Thank you #flipgrid family!
A5: What if it was used as a reflection tool for co-teachers? Have a collaborative model of planning, try the lesson while T watches student outcomes, and then have them record a video letting you know what they saw Ss doing during your lesson. Feedback is key! #FlipgridFever
I am grateful to YOU @MrMerrillsClass for your awesome IKEA recording studio idea and @ClaudioZavalaJr for being my very 1st Flipgrid to sing on! So much joy! Now @osambrose has #flipgridfever and we are bringing down the HOUSE!
Caught #FlipgridFever from Solid Gold @KarlyMoura through #DitchThatTextbook was the one who started it all for me and introduced me to the rest of the awesome Flipgrid Family- thanks!
A5 What about #FlipgridFieldTrips? Ts collaborate and tease an upcoming field trip (possibly on site) to get Ss thinking in advance. Could possibly partner w field trip site staff to up engagement and critical thinking. #FlipgridFever
Love the idea of exit tickets!! I have them hold up a highlighter like a mic and share the highlights of the week. This could be fun on @Flipgrid#FlipgridFever
Bonus: Gotta give lots of love and credit to everyone over at @ksuiteach, but the first intro came from The Man, The Myth, The Legend @Technitkali! #flipgridfever
BONUS A: @HubsNHHS (my school where I teach) Ts are using @flipgrid! During my planning, I can walk the halls and see Ss outside the classrooms recording. #flipgridfever
A3: I'd like to see @Flipgrid be used in my school for Ss to take a larger part in decision making...submit school/class rules suggestions, vote for events or yearbook cover, or just being able to post ideas for the school in general. #FlipgridFever
A5: When Ts connect & collaborate, it’s a learning experience for the Ts as well as the Ss. Ts & Ss could reflect on the same grid about what went well & what they might do differently next time. It shows that Ts are learners too! #FlipgridFever
A5b Ss could also bring an iPad to field trip. Record prompts to Qs on Camera Roll offline and upload when back under wifi. Great way to capture the experience & justify/share the learning. #FlipgridFever
I don't remember "who" exactly I caught #FlipgridFever from, but it was on a list of #s to follow, tried it one day in class... No, My STUDENTS are who I caught it from. Their immediate excitement and empowerment when they looked at the grid for the first time. #KidsDeserveIt
A5 It also releasing the fear many Ts have with technology. I know my Ts last year were fearful but after collaborating on our inquiry expo presentation in term3 https://t.co/5uXT79dFH7 Ts were wanting a second go in term 4 #FlipgridFever
Bonus - Where do I start. My Flipgrid family at HQ, my ambassador family from Minnesota & @m_drez you guys always have my back. I am so blessed to have a PLF not a PLN. My rocks @fmargret & @mbfxc no words for you ♥️. #FlipgridFever
Bonus: I'd like to add to my previous answer that following this twitter feed gives me all kinds of #flipgridfever🔥 - I truly am awe inspired by all of the amazing educators who use this tool and do it so flawlessly! I wish I could be half as awesome as yall! #realtalk
Tonight, those that have renewed my #FlipgridFever would be @Keiser09, @johnbriese, and the teacher who was talking about using Flipgrid for paying to forward. Who tweeted that again? #FlipgridFever
Add on the fact that other Ts on my campus are starting to use and share #FlipgridFever I love getting links to grids/topics other grade levels are working on. @tinamcassidy and the 3rd grade Ts recorded CUTE "ice day" videos to share with their kiddos.
.@BlissCyndy encouraged me last year to try @Flipgrid I am so glad she did. I love it and my students love it even more. They always get so excited to record responces. #flipgridfever
Bonus: I'd like to add to my previous answer that following this twitter feed gives me all kinds of #flipgridfever🔥 - I truly am awe inspired by all of the amazing educators who use this tool and do it so flawlessly! I wish I could be half as awesome as yall! #realtalk
Check out what we notice in our community that is around us! We are so proud of the students in our class! Great job! Keep up the amazing work! 📱💻#FlipgridFever getting us ready to connect with virtual pen pals. https://t.co/dZm1uqztRz
That last week when we were on GHO with 3/4 J was amazing! To hear her Ss confidently explain the SDGs is our hope for all classrooms around the world! #FlipgridFever
I have to warn you, but I may have added you to my PLN. My thinking was, ‘I can a learn a lot from this person. He or she has some great ideas.’ #FlipgridFever
I can't believe I missed the incredible #FlipgridFever 🔥 chat! Had a meeting at my son's school. #WestCoastProblems 😭 Can't wait to catch up on all of the tweets!!!!
Definitely caught #FlipgridFever from @KKeiser09. Love working with Ts on my campus who are willing to try new things with their Ss and share those ideas with others.
Thanks for the @flipgrid double header. Enjoyed learning from everyone, looking forward to applying the great ideas from the webinar and chat! #flipgridfever@lantonha
To the peeps in the #FlipgridAmbassador crew that inspire me every day. I can’t fit all 500 of you in this tweet...just know how much I appreciate you! #FlipgridFever
Yes, Catherine, you are such a champion of others! I remember meeting you on @LetsVedChat, and it’s been great getting to know you ever since! #FlipgridFever

I can say, this is a group that I am proud to be a part of. So many inspiring educators who do great things for Ss. Thanks @design2research, @Taralson and team for giving us all a voice and #PLN#FlipgridFever
