A1: When I was teaching in a previous district a colleague asked me to join him for breakfast and we quickly started a breakfast club for staff. Each Friday we got together and sent highlights from the conversation out after each breakfast. #RelationshipsMatter#teachpos

A1: When my 7th grade math teacher moved my 79% to an 80% for 3rd Q report card. I had never struggled in a class before and had a 70% at progress reports. I worked my tail off, and he gave me hope when he moved it up to a B. Helped to not sour my view on math. #teachpos
A1: When I taught in Las Vegas, I had a Gr2 Ss who made me a toy car from random items he had at home. It had one missing wheel. He was so proud of what he made and I was, too! It reminded me that giving from the heart can transform what meets the eye! #teachpos#thelittlethings

A1~ this new sweet support teacher made a comment to me about how she loves my willingness to share my mistakes , successes with her so openly ~ caught me off guard, but after some reflection, it really meant so much to me ā¤ļø #teachpos
A1- In 1st grade I switched schools halfway through the year. I was very shy and my new teacher let me read her 'special' books she kept behind her desk. I'll never forget it. It made me feel valued and want to try harder for her. #teachpos
A1: I was attending a grad party of one of my first students-a student that I struggled with. His parents came up to me and told me I was the first name he had put on the guest list. It is something I will always remember about you can never know your impact. #teachpos

A2: Iāve been able to attend community events lately and connect with Ss and families outside of the school setting.@renathunderhawk@DeniseEdsc and I were drenched with water balloons last wknd. Itās opportunities like these where connections can be made/strengthened. #teachpos
A2: I used to teach a PLTW class with a set curriculum... One student was very artistic but not so into robotics or CAD. They were blown away when I told them they had creative license with the projects & that I'd print them in color!

Redefining "leadership" has done a ton for my Ss' confidence. When they see that leading or being generous can be defined as "asking a question" or "offering a conjecture" or bringing someone to a help session with you....they begin to see themselves as more valuable. #teachpos

#teachpos - A2 - Same as my previous answer. So many times students who are working hard (regardless of the results) just need to be told they are doing a good job. Taking the time to make that personal, positive connection makes a big difference.
