Being able to collaborate to build high quality lessons or activities - that can then be shared with others is one of the BEST parts of OpenSpace - the author tools are user friendly - and can easily upload work done in Google Docs #OHedchat
It looks as though it solves a question of resources especially in preparing from some of the challenges the tests and standards throw in our way (literature rom outside the US would be a minor challenge). It's always helpful, though, to have more resource options #ohedchat

A2: OER is another great tool for finding resources more readily. Years ago it was hard to find good quality resources without spending lots and lots of time (and often, lots of money). OER helps me find things much more easily, and it's budget-friendly! #ohedchat

There are many resources to use with ELL students. Most of @infohio resources are translated into 100's of languages. Most are available in speech to text versions to help any student who needs reading assistance be able to learn. #ohedchat#infohio

A2: I'm not sure any of my colleagues are using INFOhio or the available OERs, but based on the amount of information apparently available I can imagine it being a huge support to many of us. #ohedchat

There are many @infohio resources that provide multiple view points promoting critical thinking and understanding. Open Space is a place to curate the resources into lessons and units around themes and topics like tolerance. #ohedchat

The difference with #OER is that free means....avaible to anyone to use. That is one of the criteria of any #OER resource vs the "light version" of many subscription tools that vendors offer. #OHedchat

Doing a debate activity soon over some contentious issues and I may use OER as to help the students try to develop a more comprehensive perspective. Qualified but complex arguments seem to carry the most nuance and cogency #ohedchat
