    A2: I think just showing students how you are thankful for them and their actions and show how to be grateful. Students also respond well when they see it happening with the adults in the building - modeling the behavior you want them to follow. #ycsdchat

    A2 Encouraging respect and verbal thank yous to those whose work often goes unnoticed by students- custodians, cafeteria workers, office staff. Helping kids see that we are all in this together and small gestures can make all the difference. #YCSDchat

    A2: Acknowledgement is important. I want to give students the opportunity to write thank you notes. I’ve tried this before at Mothers Day...and even gotten a few parent responses about how they didn’t expect but ❤️ a homemade card from school from their “older” child. #ycsdchat

    When I taught 5th grade, I had a writing desk in the back of the classroom, fully equipped with TY cards, stationary, etc where students could go to and write notes to others-adults & kids. They loved it! #ycsdchat
