    A1 impossible to hide my passion from my Ss, it just exudes in all that I do. They see me at my best when I get fired up over “silly” things like contractions, but my passion brings those “boring” lessons to life! They also sometimes see me struggle because I care so much. #tlap

    It’s tough. Making any of the arts relevant to the students isn’t always easy especially if their exposure to it hasn’t been all to positive. I used to teach art the way I was taught it-didn’t work for most kids. Trying to switch it up now #tlap

    A4: Create a passion for what we're doing in class. Had one class beg to write mythology song from our stories instead of the original assigment, which was just create song titles. Ss actually wrote/ performed the songs that taught our myths. They did a lot of it at home. #tlap

    A4 Ss have summary projects that usually involve filming something. They often recruit fam members. Last one=Ss pets acting as surrogates for people in morning routines. This is what is taken home-projects that include others outside of class = FUN! #tlap

    A5 I use a lot of songs and games. My students love songs from Mr. DeMaio on YouTube and we use GoNoodle. I love when I hear them singing 🎤 the songs while they are working on that skill. #tlap

    A6- I try to build relationships with their families as well as the students. “It takes a village” and I want the kids to see how important they are to me. I play, sing, and let them see my world outside of the classroom walls. It builds trust which leads to buy in. #TLAP

    A6 I send a card before the semester starts to each student, I also do one pot-luck (minimum) and I take the out for a lesson with breakfast at local restaurant. It is all about spending quality time and getting to know them in various contexts. Best time spent! #tlap
