A1: lots of informal experience helping w/ ELLs during my childhood b/c of my family. Currently no formal experience...yet!
I do pull-out sessions in grades Pre-K - 8. My SS are all around the school. Lots of planning for different ages and levels.
A1. I have worked with ELLs all through my career. I was the ELL coordinator for a year in my district.
Our school only has about 1-2 ELL students per grade level.

I loved the photo and illustrated glossaries that I made with kinders. They were always a fave writing resource for Ss
A3 In my district, we use SIOP strategies for instructional organization & delivery of content for our ELLs.
A3:TPR, Visual, videos, songs, technology, creating songs, dances to make help them make connections
This was a good launching point to teach emotions.
A3:I always model the lessons being taught, repeat the instructions more than once & use visuals to explain. I leave it up as well
A3: It's also important to model & think aloud
