Q1: What was something you can be proud of this past school year?

A1:. The breakthroughs in Ss learning and engagement with new lessons tried this year.

A1: 1st annual summer retreat with all but 5 staff participating... all voluntary. 2nd retreat planning now. Set tone for year.

A1: proud of the relationships and rapport that I have built with some of my more challenging students.

A1: Our Middle School got off the Focus School list!

A1: moving from school improvement teams to all staff participation under 3 focus groups: leadership, culture, academics

5 team members are planning for this July and leading the learning for us. Can't wait to learn with my team.

A2: We have lots of work in our 1:1 rollout next year. Helped Ss engagement, but there is still much room for improvement.

A2 - we still haven't gained traction in 2 curricular areas that we could; social studies and grammar

Q2: Hoped to launch Teacher Labs this year. Didn't work out, so instead I organized visits to other districts. Turned out great!

A2: My IEP input plan and having a larger part of that process was not as involved as if hoped.

Love to see more student leadership & empowerment opportunities, great area for growth

Q2: Becoming more consistent as a building in grading for learning practices.

A2: Tough one... losing a challenging S because family didn't agree to an alternate placement to get help he needed.

Hard to Brad but so important. It's something that I'm very engaged in... happy to help if I can.

A2 Always hard to accept that education is a partnership & some Ss don't give as much as they could. But the seeds were planted.

A3: helped Ts relieve stress from the 1:1 rollout. Take themselves less seriously. The world won't stop spinning onnits axis!

A3: Mixing up our SI teams (starting @ retreat) so teams were people they didn't typically work with. Grew relationships

A3 That I walk my talk & approach every S with leadership, love, laughter & learning. Never ever perfect but dedicated!

A3: similar to my answer on #1.. I think that relationship piece creates an accountability that percolates.

A3: I work with Ts and Principals...They might say that I push thinking about the changing the status quo for tching and lrning

A3 - I truly want to partner with them, side by side, to support them in improving as educators, based on individual needs

A3: Encouraged them to grow & challenge themselves. Been there to support and help. Answered questions, no matter what or when.

Attacked our new "zero based budgeting" process and grew significantly in my overall understanding and use of school finance

A4: I hope that our school has made great strides towards Future Ready for all Ss.

A4: Since I don't have a supervisor, I rely on the feedback from those whom I serve. Same answer at #3

A4 That I stayed committed to serving the most challenged & challenging kids at our school-- and won them over in the process!

A5: Not new but we've been focused on creating Next Gen classrooms, this fall our whole building will be Next Gen/Future Ready.

A6: Friday Family Meetings... whole school 20 minutes to celebrate & learn together!

A6: Working with lots of schools/dist Comp Lit Framework esp small group instruction. Using Lit practices to guide.

History Talk Shows! Frame the teaching where Ss are "guests" and experts. Teacher is the host interviewing them.
