Q2. Define "Learning Experience Design." What does it mean to you? Where did it come from? Where is learning design innovation likely to happen fastest? What are the implications? #EduMatch
A1: Hello everyone, my name is Sheridin, I'm a student teacher of French- getting my Masters in Ed. with teacher certification at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor #edumatch

RT edu_match: Q3. What's the role of faculty/ instructors/teachers (learning engineers?) in the future of learning design? #EduMatchhttps://t.co/ZL8S5BntAw
Learning experience design is the entire ecosystem of a learning experience taking into account all learners & their backgrounds/interests/mindsets. Developed with the end user at the center of the learning. #edumatch
#edumatch All educators and students should be included in the design of learning. Invite all voices to help craft great lessons that are relevant and enagaging!
Integrating new technology will not change our practice, Adopting a positive approach to innovation will lead to a paradigm shift. #edtech#innovation#edumatch
I'm really excited about the idea of supporting students in experiential learning, it's a great way to help students to retain meaningful information #edumatch

RT edu_match: Q5. In 5 years, what will the relationship between start-ups/small businesses and educational institutions look like? #EduMatchhttps://t.co/DgWhgZHbty
I so agree!! Those inside know better how everything works, young minds have great ideas and they are not only future but our present as well! #EduMatch
For Educators now and in the future, User Experience (UX) is a fundamental aspect of our profession. Learner Experience Design can build and grow off of UX research #edtech#edumatch
A6: Technology and open access information allows us to breakdown barriers of educational inequity. We should leverage technology to design learning experiences that allow students to work at their own pace and prioritize mastery, truly meeting the needs of all learners #edumatch
one thing i'm curious about is how we give these design experiences a clear purpose. if our students don't understand the WHY can it be a meaningful experience? #edumatch
I believe in the idea that it takes a village and that small steps lead to big results. Therefore, with modeling & collaboration, there will be a shift in how instruction is implemented & how learners access & internalize info. #edumatch

Learning Experience Design considers where students are academically, their prior knowledge, their interests, their background, and their skills and using that as a foundation of the learning experience. That then is applied to an experience related to real life. #EduMatch
Hi, Kareem. I see the upsides you do & I see a big asterisk in that, under some circumstances, technology can amplify/accelerate inequities. One trick I know you know is not to presume access; rather work to ensure it. #edumatch
A4: In regards to assessments, I hope we expand further to allow students to demonstratetheir learning through reflection, project based learning, & collaboration/digital citizenship, etc. #edumatch
A7: Ditch the lecture model. Leverage technology to disseminate content knowledge and allow the teacher to focus on revision, reflection and reassessment with students. Students can work at their own pace in pursuit of mastery #edumatchhttps://t.co/24C8lCBxgQ
Sure! Let´s agree not all students want to go to school: they just go!. The key here is to make them see that what they study, work on or do research is useful in their daily lives! #EduMatch

Could not agree more! My statements operate under the assumption that we are actively trying to secure a one-one technology program at all our schools. This is most important in low income environments where at home tech access is limited! #edumatch

agreed with your point about how specific CRP is town to town. Even within a single city the CRP could be vastly different--thinking redlining in areas like Chicago #edumatch
I don't worry about losing my role in the process as I do about the social and emotional health of my kids. How do we ensure that they're able to connect with each other?? #edumatch
RT edu_match: RT micahshippee: Cultural responsive pedagogy design educatoralex ... love it #edtech#edumatch teaching for our cultural context is super intimate, teacher-empowered.
AI has potential to positively impact learning, it will be able to take us back to the classic way of teaching and learning - the master and the apprentice. Where the teacher designs the experience #edtech#edumatch
AI is great in terms of having more ways for students to receive support in having questions answered, but the social curriculum that students are also learning has to be nurtured as well so that students are able to express their ideas and interact with others. #EduMatch

No doubt #relationships#Friendships during the school years are extremely important if they are well-cultivated and fed, watered like flowers and plants. Communication is key, good communication of course! #EduMatch
Dark side of tech-driven learner experience design according to #edumatch panelists at https://t.co/exyEonoVst: 100+ students in VR headsets broadcasting rote learning under eyes of single human facilitator.
#edumatch A4:With the advancement of tech perhaps we will be able to scientifically track student's learning weaknesses and strengths through brain imaging, and the academic tools/resources will be available to diagnose and enhance parts of the brain that struggle 2 understand
Remember the needs that are met outside of academic content. Conversation across students/student-teacher is important. CRP allows a deeper desire to know about your students and from there, engagement and meaning is present and technology can be used as an enhancer. #EduMatch
I´m so sorry to say that #technology, (even Harry Potter´s wand won´t) doesn´t work with the most disangaged Ss, you may motivate them for some time but, it is beyond school #edumatch
2nd take-away from #edumatch chat: Referring to people as 'users' sounds like vestige from tech world that feels clunky/cold when jumping spheres to education. I'll work on re-tuning my ears; mean time, #edtech movers, consider how your lingo plays to diff't audiences.
Agree!! Broken family relationships, parents who are present when they have to, it all counts to make kids´ lives more miserable, although they get used to living like that, so they look for comfort at school. Once again Ts multitasking!! #EduMatch
It's true, to educators #users feels so strange - #learners feels much more natural. However, it's useful to be able to codeswitch across linguistic communities for more in depth learning... #learning#edumatch
