#Edtechchat focuses on Education Technology. Co-founder Tom Murray says #edtechchat "connects us professionally with inspiring educators from all over the world, all of who encourage us to be better every day for the children and families we serve.”
I think thinking outside the box often becomes harder with tech, as we find ones we love and use them over and over again. The learning curve often feels steeper (even if not) then paper/pen activities. #edtechchat
One of my frustrations with tech, is how a lot of the old "standards" are falling, and it's not as easy to transfer skills from one program to another. Makes it harder to learn. #edtechchat
A2 - Exposure. Show them lots of tools. Use lots of tools yourself. Talk about why you choose a tool for a specific task - benefits/drawbacks. #edtechchat
There are reasons we love and re-use certain tools over and over again. Some is familiarity, but another large part is it successfully helps us achieve what we want to achieve. #edtechchat
I meant more that we use to always use same basic setup for all tools. Now, with more interactions (think kinect, touch, gestures) tools come up with creative outlets for actions. Not bad thing, just not consistent #edtechchat
Okay, I've been as antisocial as I can, and have to go join company (sibling...) Will jump on later and check out what I missed. Keep tagging me. :) #edtechchat
