Trauma informed means u understand how 2 respond 2 Ss from trauma. Trauma responsive means preparing T in advance with tools, training, and strategies to support students and make all classrooms safe places 2 learn. This is my understanding but I ❤️ to learn. #personalizedPD
A2: since I work primarily with Ts I think teaching them how to manage their areas is where I start. I also explain where we can have impact on Ss behavior and it is not in the moment of a situation. #PersonalizedPD#ProDriven

A3: Our essential questions when we read Anne Frank was, “What triggers violence?” Kids were connecting small acts of violence to the Holocaust. They also created projects that aimed to identify and prevent triggers at school. #ProDriven#PersonalizedPD

#personalizedPD#ProDriven As a former ELA teacher, I read anything & everything by @KellyGToGo and always modeled writing in front of my Ss. I would weave my personal stories into my writing. Now...I share my stories via my blog and within PD I facilitate as a guide on the side.

A5) We talk this up quite a bit, but I am not sure we back it up. R actions and words often times keep the Ss from asking for help. We do provide meals in summer, we try to connect them with a group in the community, but I am not sure we follow through.#ProDriven#personalizedPD

Sharing stories helps build an understanding that others experience the same…which builds a sense of belongingness…Maslow’s 3rd level, and the ONLY level that directly relies on another human being. #ProDriven#personalizedPD
