A1: increased accountability and ownership of work; knowing that they are going to share/upload their work adds that additional accountability. #Seesawchat
A2: Seesaw has changed the way students learn! Now, they create for an audience, which motivates Ss to 1. complete work and 2. give it their all! Seesaw is not a product in our school, it's a verb! #seesawchat
A2 learning is meaningful and relevant! Students love that their parents see and respond to work immediately . I can give quick and immediate feedback and allows for constant informal assessment #SeesawChat
A2: We use Seesaw to complete self reflections to build self confidence and self reflection skills. We are also using Seesaw learn digital citizenship and to share our work with other classes and grade levels. #seesawchat
A2 My Ss have taken on more ownership of their learning. Parent communication has also been amazing. I love being able to check in with Ss that I don’t get to see 1:1 or in small group evveryday. There is a lot more accountability. #Seesawchat
A1 Ashley digital learning coach from SC. My favorite @Seesaw feature is recorded directions in Activities! ❤️that scaffold toward independence!! #SeesawChat
A2 @Seesaw has given SS voice, choice & the ability to use technology to learn & demonstrate their learning in a way they never could before. I am at a new school & most Ts are now using Seesaw & our district is including it as a station rotation during curriculum PD! #seesawchat
A2 For parents of children with special needs, it gives them a glimpse of what their child does in school. The parent engagement has been amazing. #SeesawChat
YES! I had a similar experience with a P of a student with autism. They were so grateful to hear him talk about his learning in the moment. #SeesawChat
A2- The biggest change is how technology has evened the playing field. @Seesaw gives all learners an opportunity to share their learning with others with pride😊 #Seesawchat
A1 checking in from Truckee, Ca. ♥️sharing @Seesaw#SeesawChat. Happy to see we are talking about Google w/Seesaw today. Just attended #CUE18, @PintoBeanz11#gafe4littles prez. Inspired to ask for 1:1 Chromebooks for my K class. They're on their way. Yikes. Help!
A2- The biggest change is how technology has evened the playing field. @Seesaw gives all learners an opportunity to share their learning with others with pride😊 #Seesawchat
A2- our students have had the opportunity to reflect on their learning and authentically share what is happening in the classroom with their families! 🙌🏻👏🏻#seesawchat@ksuiteach
Eek! That's a bold move. I'd love to follow your journey of Ks and Chromebook. I definitely prefer iPads with my Ks, although we have skillz on chromebooks, too #seesawchat
A3: We complete many of our long writing assignments on G Suite. Being able to upload them to Seesaw allows are families to see the work sooner because we like to display them in the hallway. #seesawchat
We r GAFE so students have learned to download their work, along with using Drawings to create. Then upload and explain in Seesaw. Hyperlinks work, sideshows are viewable. It’s great! #Seesawchat
A3 we have android tablets so we do not have activities yet. Therefore I use Google for so much! Digital interactive notebooks on Google slides, screen casting for videos, Google docs for rainbow typing and so much more! #SeesawChat
Q3: I use mainly Google Slides and Docs with Seesaw. I often post links for Ss for these. This helps me eliminate copies! I also create a weekly newsletter using Google Slides for families that I post in a "Classroom Events" folder on Seesaw. #seesawchat
A3 My Ss are in 1st grade. They haven’t had much experience with the Gsuite yet. I create templates and links in my Drive and then upload them to our class. I might try Google Classroom next year with my Ss. #Seesawchat
It is a huge lifesaver! I sent my kids a seesaw challenge to tell me about their Snow days yesterday and today. One student created a google slides and shared it on seesaw. We then posted it to the class blog and everyone could view her presentation! #seesawchat
A3: Personally, my students have Google Classroom accounts and complete some activities in there, but we don't use it as much as other grades in my building. #seesawchat
A3: We complete many of our long writing assignments on G Suite. Being able to upload them to Seesaw allows are families to see the work sooner because we like to display them in the hallway. #seesawchat
A3: Love how I can combine both. My 1st graders use G Slides to create a leprechaun story, then put it into Explain Everything to create class book/audio and then uploaded all to @Seesaw. Great workflow! #authenticaudience#seesawchat
Need to run but had to share amazing project we started today using @KSzajner and @Leighton_beth collection! So simple to turn template into google slide project #SeesawChat
Personally, use Google Slides to create many of my @Seesaw activity templates. EZ creation & provides the layering I need to accommodate the skills and the cute. 😄 #seesawchat
Q3: I also use Google Classroom for all K-5 students. I post directions with sometimes one link to create, along with the Seesaw link. K participate by about Feb. #relatedarts#Seesawchat
A4: Ss share their writing pieces (narratives in Docs/ presentations in Slides) and any passion projects that they want to share from Google to Seesaw. They upload straight from their Google Drive. #seesawchat
A4: Our primary Ss don't have school google accounts so I add pictures in groups & videos from field trips to share with families. I would like to hear some good ideas though. #seesawchat
Google app smashing into seesaw sounds awesome, but can't parents connect to Ss google accounts and view their work there? How would I convince google users to also add seesaw? #seesawchat
Q4: Now that I realize how Ss G Suite work can be saved and then uploaded to Seesaw, the sky's the limit with sharing! Why has this never occurred to me?! #ThinkSmarterNotHarder#Seesawchat
A3: Love how I can combine both. My 1st graders use G Slides to create a leprechaun story, then put it into Explain Everything to create class book/audio and then uploaded all to @Seesaw. Great workflow! #authenticaudience#seesawchat
A4 I put Student artifacts from Google into Seesaw so they are located in the same place. Then I can share all Student work with their parents via interviews, qr codes and families being linked to our Seesaw Class 😀 #seesawchat
A4: My students haven't shared much of their work from Google in Seesaw yet because we don't do a lot in there. I've had them simply take a screenshot in the past of a completed slide and post and record an explanation of what they did in Seesaw. #seesawchat
No, I don't think Ps see the actual work, just assignments that might be missing. I think Seesaw is more interactive with the family perspective #SeesawChat
#SeesawChat - think this student knows what she's doing? You betcha! A2 @Seesaw let's students shine while they demonstrate their knowledge! https://t.co/2TWdNvn8ay
Interactive...def a reason to begin using Seesaw! K-2 use it daily, third grade is still hesitant, which is why this chat came at the perfect time! #seesawchat
A5 adding voice! SS can record over what they do in google! Also they can share it on the blog & get feedback from others from all connected to blog! Plus they can add captions :) #seesawchat
A5: Seesaw tools can give the Ss a safe environment to reach and share with a larger audience by using the blog feature. I'm looking forward to trying this with Ss soon. #seesawchat
A5: I use G Suite as a place where we build a majority of our large projects. Seesaw is where we reflect and set goals to improve. Seesaw helps to show our learning progression. Ss score all their Seesaw work based on our for everything "pancake" rubric. #seesawchat
Q5: Students can use Seesaw to expand on their G Suite work. The recording and drawing features offer amazing opportunities to get a glimpse into our Ss thinking and process behind their work. #Seesawchat
A5: Sharing Google products in @Seesaw allows student the opportunity to add voice recordings to their work. Then the work is also available for families and peers to see. There is always the global connection possibility with @Seesaw blogs too! #seesawchat
A5: students can explain and add to any work that they have completed. Nothing beats listening to a Ss voice, or reading their caption as they share their best work. #Seesawchat
A2 Ss have more choices in showing what they know! I love having P comments pop up when they see their child's playing assessments or other work--they often respond w/sweet notes & shout-outs. @Seesaw connects Ps to their kids' work & progress SO easily! #SeesawChat
🙌🏻 QR code all the things. Our superintendent of school visited and was super impressed with my talking [ via @chatterpix ] Thing 1 and thing 2 bulletin board display. #seesawchat

Q6 Seesaw is a phenomenal tool to connect parents to classroom learning. How can Seesaw help connect parents to student learning completed with Google tools? #Seesawchat
For my K's, being able to add their voice is huge. They're able to explain their thinking when fine motor skills (writing, drawing, manipulating) aren't refined enough to feel like they are being understood fully. #seesawchat
#SeesawChat@seesaw June in rainy SoCal 1st grade. Brand new to seesaw-will use after spring break. Q- what /where is the best place to create an activity-template?
A3 I really only use Google w/Seesaw as a pathway. I use Google Classroom and give them a link to @Seesaw. With our chromebooks they can get through it quickly. I might upload a document once in a while, but mostly I use the independent Seesaw tools. #SeesawChat
A6 now Ps can see what they are doing in Google too! By adding to @Seesaw they see everything in real time & can comment! That’s what I love best is that Ps can actually give their kids feedback while the SS r in class! #seesawchat
A5: I use G Suite as a place where we build a majority of our large projects. Seesaw is where we reflect and set goals to improve. Seesaw helps to show our learning progression. Ss score all their Seesaw work based on our for everything "pancake" rubric. #seesawchat
A6: Google gives me the space needed to store my flipped lessons & Seesaw allows me to share my lessons with Ss & Ps. The parents get to learn the strategies & language of our math. #seesawchat
Lots of Ts are sharing here that Google slides or drawings can be used for backgrounds of templates. I also like Canva if you want to get fancy. Or start simple and just use Seesaw's tools #SeesawChat
A6: @Seesaw allows parents to see work that is completed in Google. Since parents do not have access to student work in Google Classroom, Seesaw allows them the opportunity to see the digital assignments their children complete. #seesawchat
A6 Ps are able to comment and provide feedback to their child’s work. They can ask the ? Either the S or T can clarify. Also for SEI/ELL families being able to comment in their native language makes the classroom accessible #Seesawchat
A6: I connect my parents to Seesaw instead of Google Classroom because they are able to join in the learning process by commenting and seeing on a daily basis what we are learning. #seesawchat
Agree! Creating activity templates directly in @Seesaw is amazing and a great place to start! EZ PZ! Slides simply offers the ability to layer and add that extra pizazz which isn't always needed. #seesawchat

Q6: Seesaw provides a real-time glimpse into student learning and the products they create. Google Classroom & Drive is a vehicle to house the info but @Seesaw is the gas that gets home! Ps can see Ss work through Seesaw in a way the Google reports can't. #seesawchat
Curious about how to use both @seesaw and Google? Join #SeesawChat right now to hear all of these amazing ideas around student agency, collaboration and parent engagement!

A2 One positive thing that I see happening is that my students like to see themselves in a video. They laugh and they get excited about making another one, because they know that the parents are on the receiving end. #SeesawChat
These posts are my fav! I love hearing the WHOLE learning process, not just the end result. I wish @seesaw was around when I was teaching 😭! #seesawchat
#SeesawChat - think this student knows what she's doing? You betcha! A2 @Seesaw let's students shine while they demonstrate their knowledge! https://t.co/2TWdNvn8ay
Awwww.... thanks! Not so much about the app smash but about how to attain the best learning with the tools available to be able to hear student voice! #seesawchat
Q6-Anytime parents can see what their child is doing helps to build trust in the P/T relationship. Helps Ps ask good questions about child’s school day. #SeesawChat

Here's our latest smash- 1st graders wrote stories w/ their stuffed animal as main character. Ss chose setting and put character in @DoInkTweets Then uploaded pic to @Seesaw where they then read their story. #seesawchat
A6 #SeesawChat think I'm going 2 B stoked 2 start using 1:1 Chromebooks & share out a little less via @Seesaw. Duz that make sense? Like we send out a lot now w Seesaw that Ps don't have 2 see. So maybe we can create more in GAfE but share out Wow work in Seesaw. Suggestions?
Thanks for joining us for tonight’s #SeesawChat! Try an idea tomorrow to contribute to your classroom community, and don’t forget to follow educators you may have connected with tonight.
My Ss just app smashed w/ Google Docs, Book creator and Seesaw. They typed a rough draft in Docs, pasted their work into book creator to create a final draft. Now we are exporting to Seesaw to share with the our Kinder friends. #seesawchathttps://t.co/xDxJXijqBQ
Q7: Looking forward to hearing how others use Google and Seesaw! I want it to be student-created, but struggle with just recreating worksheets digitally. Anyone have any awesome ideas? App-smashing maybe? #seesawchat
I know what you mean I have to hit the delete button quite a few times during the week. https://t.co/iWOxqLieG9 This is a good guide for wow work #seesawchat
