A1 #gamification is engaging, fun and we want to beat prior scores, get to next level, have to get a strategy, remember patterns, problem solve, builds critical thinking skills #arvrinedu
A1 Who doesn't want a chance to save the world? Defeat a dragon? Earn a 50,000 pt bonus? Be top five on the leaderboard? #gamification is thinking and exploration and perseverance and FUN #ARVRinEDU

And so many people are driven in competition. I wonder how our students respond to these type of activities when they don't like the competition? #ARVRinEDU
Q2 Check out this #AR labyrinth game that can take place inside of your classroom! Walk through the maze in your space. How can a maze be applicable in your classroom? #ARVRinEDU#ARKit
A1: #gamification provides opportunities to engage students while making learning more playful. In my case Quest Based learning also provides #stuchoice which is huge. Teaching game design, problem solving is at the core of everything #ARVRinEdu

You need multiple access points. Something for the explorer and something for the socializer. Design of the game needs to think of ALL student needs. #ARVRinEDU
Q3 Here is a new experience of play with Alice in Wonderland called Mad Tea Party. There are activities to get from one stage to another. #ARVRinEDU#ARKit
What kind of stories would you like to be interactive?

A2: This is so cool! Is this the tool you shared with my class yesterday @JaimeDonally ? My students are exploring #ARVRinEDU and I could see great application for 360 images / video to create a maze / game based on meaningful locations!

So I was walking in my living room/dining room through this maze. Super cool but only uses coins to find. It gets harder and harder to get out. I'm directionally challenged already #ARVRinEDU
Q4 WARNING! This experience is scary, and definitely not appropriate although it's listed at 12+ in the App Store. FYI-there is some language. #ARVRinEDU#ARKit
How can a thriller game entice our students to learn?

A4: I'm not sure about this one, I don't like scary! ;) BUT! this thriller likely causes the Ss to critically think about how to achieve the goal. Taking a familiar system and remixing it with EDU content is how to entice Ss. #ARVRinEDU
A4: I'm seeing a black screen which I suppose can be scary in it's own right. and sound not working right now so I'm missing out if I'm supposed to hear anything :/ For my students, I believe that exploring horror / thriller narrative demonstrates great sotrytelling #ARVRinedu

A4 part2: kudos to my comp teacher, he had the students design a card game where you play against others by drawing cards and providing the required # of answers. If you do, you win the card, if you don't you loose the card. The kids loved it! Game sound familiar? #ARVRinEDU
Am I the only one that participates in these chats and immediately thinks they need to take a sabbatical to have time to learn everything? Fortunately, I spend much of the time with my students learning, but still need MORE #ARVRinEDU
