Rebecca from Arkansas, author and K-6 director of curriculum. I"m so excited to hang out with student voice activators tonight! #MakeItReal#LetStudentsSpeak
It is always more relevant with students keeping it real! Isaiah was instrumental in contributions and revisions of #LetStudentsSpeak He will definitely keep us relevant tonight! #makeitreal
A1: I find that lots of times, educators won't open up a space for students to speak out regarding whether or not they are learning relevantly. All it takes is that open door and connection to go from good to great! #MakeItReal connect with us! Make it trendy! Make it fun!
A1: for me, it was when students would leave and then continue the conversations at their house on our classroom Instagram, @flipgrid,or #GoogleClassroom stream. When you #makeitreal, learning begins to become a hobby instead of a chore. Students will see the content all around.
A1: Because they tell you. They come in excited to share connections they made, things that they remember or what they want to learn or do next. #MakeItReal#LetStudentsSpeak
#MakeItReal simple routines...of shout outs at exit , pinning up "I am still wondering ". And students' keep coming in and out of my room to chat . The continuous formatives also tell me how relevant my children find their Learning process. Year end online feedback is also taken

A1: Joining late! My Ss tend to let me know if the lesson fails to hit the mark, they ask questions if they don't see the purpose, & they know that I VALUE what they think. Oh, and plus I ASK them. #MakeItReal#LetStudentsSpeak

A4: show them successes in the world by those that had to work hard to get where they are and lifted others up in the process. Share with Ss your Community involvement to inspire them to find a way they to can make a difference. #KidsDeserveIt#BeTheOne#MakeItReal#JoyfulLeaders
Ss are the heart of education. If educators aren't listening to them, a blood clot forms. If we don't take our medication (listen to student voice) the clot causes the heart and the body (school ) to die. Let's save our efforts and listen to the heart of education! #MakeItReal
A2: Student voice is right near the top of the list! In order to understand that Ts value Ss and their opinions, you have to give them a voice. Feed their interest! #MakeItReal
A2: Lots and trying to make it more. Started Student Leadership Team this year, which will grow out, but they will be meeting w/ me frequently & then presenting by themselves at each of our fac mtgs, which will be breakout sessions #makeitreal
Where would be if students were brought in on every decision in schools? I mean, schools are suppose to be by kids for kids, right? #MakeItReal We are our EDUs clients!
A2: Growing but not there yet! We have: Formed S interview panel when hiring new HS principal, changed handbook policies based on S advocates, & had them help go over new district website that I'm working on to see how it could better serve them, etc. #MakeItReal#LetThemSpeak

A2: It’s our major goal. Having students with disabilities we strive to enable them through #accessible to share their “voice” as much as possible with disability advocacy/empowerment events/activities and leadership roles. #MakeItReal#LetStudentsSpeak

A2: As the school moves towards personalized learning, student voice plays a bigger role. Between projects and goal setting, along with a student voice committee, students are playing a larger role each day. #MakeItReal
A2: I had a “beat the teacher game”- so this is totally extrensic but it worked! I had a T chart with S on one side (Ss) and P on the other (Pollard). When the Ss worked hard they got points, when the class was wild, i got points. There was NO real reason other than..#MakeItReal
A2b, give Ss a chance to earn those points. At the end of the month, the winning class got to pick a great and I would bring them. (Cupcakes etc) Every class won, in order but no classes caught on. 🤣 #MakeItReal
If we don't activate student voice, students begin to curl up and break relationships between themselves and EDUs. And we know that this leads to nothing good as leaders. Let's build bonds and strengthen relationships. We are a team. #MakeItReal
a3. Do you want to work in a place where your thoughts, opinions, and voice is not respected? No! Because ownership is a basic human skill. Embrace the Innovative movement and #makeitreal

A3: Because it's their future we are preparing them for, not ours. They need to find not only relevance and meaning but also ownership. We need to know their likes, dislikes, needs, strengths in order to give them the best learning environment #makeitreal
A3: Ss have so much to add! If we don't activate S voice, we're going to miss out on so many good ideas if we keep them silent! Had a 10th grader help me figure out my website menu issue today. Not a coding issue, but a user friendly issue. Saved me! #MakeItReal#LetStudentsSpeak
#MakeItReal A2. A major part in their learning and teaching processes. Tech tools like #Flipgrid@Seesaw@PenpalSchools@padlet ,debate forums, students' leading classes are all much a part and parcel of our system.
A3: Because it is important to have all voices represented and heard. For students to feel responsibility toward their learning they also must feel connected to it. #makeitreal
A3: it’s very important for a student to be heard either from a administrator or a teacher. Being heard is one of the best things you can give to a student. #MakeItReal

I"m so grateful for my PLN encouraging, embracing and elevating the greatest profession on earth! Together we can empower our students and help them lead their version of a happy life! #MakeItReal#LetStudentsSpeak
A3 woody, here. Student voice is key to the success of students. To serve any clientele, they should be part of input - Student Voice is key #makeitreal
