Of the seven tenets of "effective PD" from this session, I'm most interested in the "CONTENT-FOCUSED" and "ADAPTIVE" qualities. It seems those two are the hardest to implement.

To the person in the Turnt Up session at #tcea asking about creating norms in LARGE groups: split them into smaller teams (content areas) & have them create norms & then a leader from each group brings their norms together to find COMMON elements to create Norms for large groups.
Another way to create norms in large groups is to have open submissions on a form for norms & then take the ones that repeat & create a ranking form for all to vote on. Take the top 5 ranked. Group norms made easy. (PS: Word Clouds show most mentioned norm words) #tcea

Google Drawings is not a new tool, but I love learning new ways to use it. I plan on having students annotate pictures in Google Drawings a la @jmattmiller for exit tickets. It will be a fantastic way to assess Ss understanding of point of view & characterization. #tcea#TCEAinSA
