Today Q: In what ways can "Making" translate into "Learning" in your subject, role, or space? - https://t.co/EOXMxMATZu
"Making" leads to problem-solving, which leads to lrning. Not only about the subject, but about Ss selves and their qualities
Good morning
Lots of tweets buffered and ready to roll. And I'm here, too. Thanks for dropping by.
Beautifully stated.
Thanks Nikki. https://t.co/n04LFS5QXc

Making helps make it visual for ALL Ss. Helps with problem solving skills, creativity, and collaboration. New language for ELs.
Good morning CST! Made it to w/o needing to run! Thanks ❤️
Making allows Ss to explore what they know and how it is applied
All those with sight. Yes, helps with all those things. ELL have a chance to shine! https://t.co/JkApDLuOmV

Good morning folks. Double Dipping from NJ - how are the CST people doing?
Exploring and learning as they go
Thanks for coming back Carl! Did you see the scope I tagged you in? Goats https://t.co/hUUeqDdrgM

Thank you for the repeat customering.
We often call our makerspace a 21st century shop class - have metal/woodworking tools but also new tech tools -
I taught girls to use jig saws and all sorts of tools. EMPOWERING https://t.co/pfrwBosii6
but at least they had the opportunity to try ... use power tools ... build stuff.
Though I never took woodworking or home ec, I did take a stagecraft class in college... Does that count?
That's a clever way to put it. Tools are not all that has changed, tho. Mindset, too. https://t.co/9u6HleHi4O

Making contextualizes learning: Iterations = opportunities 2 gain perspective, build empathy & exhibit bias toward action
is a fairly flexible term. I consider what my kid are doing as completely but mostly digital making
Stagecraft is Making! So is acting. So is poetry and so is music. So is hairstyling. so is geometry. https://t.co/lDr6deleJr

iteration is hands down my favorite word in the english language
encourages passion based and inquiry based learning
OMG This maker has made a tweet to end all tweets.

Mornig Steven ... It is Hump Day!
I like digital making. Digital creating, iterating, designing. They do make the ideas and put in motion. https://t.co/gkEGMrWDMQ

I have many kids use my tools ... Girls and boys ... Feel the power ... Nail guns ... Saws ...
How does ITERATION translate into LEARNING?
I like that word too.

- any chance the auto complete for twitter handles could be built in? that would be awesome!
Passion puts learning on non-toxic steroids. https://t.co/TMQYuOFMsq

Iterative design is a real world skill found in any true design project - hugely important skill to learn / possess :)
Dear friends, sorry I missed you this morning, but I'm a bit under the weather. Hope to join you tomorrow. Have a joyful day.
It's beyond therapeutic. Vrrm vrrm bang bang rip, buzz buzz.

Yeah - there's a create transcript button and create collection button at the top - press and *POOF* magic
Where'd go? maybe she's the today :)
OK - time to get the kids moving along. Hopefully I can make it a threepeat with the MT chat today!
Everything can be iterative in school, can it not? Rewrites, edits, tweaking, try to solve math another way https://t.co/jHrB7BxHXr

It freaks some out, but it may be the only thing they remember in 20 years and that makes it worth it.
MAKING a transcript, digital making. Magic. https://t.co/XiaIExJImG

YES! Everything SHOULD be iterative - I'm so not a fan of hand something in and consider it done if it's not really done
Yes! So many ways to create - you are right about it being a mindset shift - everyone can create/
It's about the only thing I'll remember in 20 years too. https://t.co/gfLv1gQx5O

Thanks for everyone who MADE today's chat. See what I did there? lol.
Yes, and playful enough for a Dr.Sess classroom guide, too:
ITERATE
-ideate
-create
-imaginate? https://t.co/vNfxxL9VD4
Turned on the personal hotspot to get some work done
Making is more than things or spaces. It's about being an active part of what we learn and experience. https://t.co/lmkSKIXwi0
Letting go of "final product" and "final grade" and "grade level" and let learning happen. Iterate. https://t.co/G0dVAHT3hy
Yes! So many ways to create - you are right about it being a mindset shift - everyone can create/
One way mindset is different is push for more diversity in & - being handy is not just a guy thing anymore.
We'll give you a pass. lol.

We'll give you a pass. lol.
Thanks. I MADE it myself. hee hee.
Funny thing is that never really was. It was a fad to be feminine by not making. But women have always made. https://t.co/I8kbJiNUlB

So glad to see you this morning!
We should have both - value in fine arts AND technical skills.
It's just a stop along the way.

Yes, iteration is key to design process. Though it is a challenge for some students (and teachers!) to learn that failure is OK.
They are kind of intangible, but also kind of hard, for some of us, at times.
