Many classes are 1:1 iPads through grants. Other rooms have 3-5 iPads per. We also have 4 iPad carts for the campus

I would advise finding ways to study your content...find a PLN (either digital or F2F), but support is a must

Yes, FB allows you to make private pages. You invite parents via email so they are not your "Friend" on FB.
I send invites to emails, they set up log in and Psswd (I always keep pgs private, used Tumblr last year).
