You could sell tickets to any activity where the students have created that "buzz" in the classroom before they have even started the activity. I know this question comes from #tlap, but remember that those doing the talking/working, are also doing the learning. #bfc530
Anything that touches on real life issues will often hit a home run with the Ss. Authentic learning at work. Ethics and the basis for decision making is such an obvious space for such learning. #bfc530

#theenergybusforkids is a book by Jon Gordon that literally gives tickets to your kids to be a part of your classroom community. Lots of resources on the website, team builders...worth checking out. Shout out to @MrYounts for sharing that resource! #bfc530
My husband and I taught for 4 years in a k-8 one room schoolhouse on an island off the coast of Maine. There were many ticket worthy lessons but I’ll let the old blog speak for itself https://t.co/hW9mvFER0K#bfc530
The Sneeze: using randint on calculator, role play, and logistic graphing to simulate an epidemic. Tower of Hanoi: will we see the end of the world if the legend is true? #BFC530

I could "sell tickets" for other teachers to play the miniature golf holes my students create based on historical events. Not only do you get to see what they develop, but it's one of those "why Im a teacher" moments when they beg you to play their hole #bfc530
#12WeekYear is full of tactics for building a culture of dreaming and executing plans for realizing dreams. A simple tool for turning dreams into actions is to not sharply ask your team “how” Flip to “how might we.” #wordsmatter#execute#leadupchat#bfc530#edchat
The Affirmative Action Socratic seminar each year is a hit. During prep, learning Bakke, Michigan, & Fisher cases, students are eager to engage. I start here, (link: https://t.co/VLhIGgE6C0) https://t.co/RwnFjvC1PH… , but will be sure to blog about it soon.

Sit in one place for 4 minutes. Write down everything you hear. Try and draw an arrow pointing to where the sounds are coming from. #creativities#ila18#BLC18#bfc530
