A4 Ss are sharing their thinking in a non threatening way. They become much more comfortable with speaking and presenting. I allow them to answer in Seesaw if they don’t feel comfortable answering in whole group. We are starting to have great conversations #SeesawChat
  • alilynnp Feb 22 @ 7:32 PM EST
Q4: @Seesaw gives my Ss a voice and opportunity to show what they know before they speak English, before they can write English and it makes them feel part of the learning more quickly. It also allows parents access to the classroom regardless of a language barrier. #SeesawChat

  • GregBCurran Feb 22 @ 7:33 PM EST
My adult #ELL students often do multiple versions of the same task. After receiving structured feedback (and voice support), they have another go. They can see and hear their improvement. That's incredibly motivating #SeesawChat

A6 Parents need to feel safe and respected to connect to the school the same as the students. When school makes connection in their home lang. it builds trust & over time parents will connect more and more #SeesawChat

A3-Did anyone say DI. This is a perfect tool to target the different learning styles while addressing small group instruction....clearly after lots of modeling. #SeesawChat
  • MrAlberto_JH Feb 22 @ 7:47 PM EST
Well, I found that Seesaw is easier to use for lower levels, it also gives you more possibilities (writing, typing, drawing on a picture, tagging...) #SeesawChat

A6: Seesaw is a great way for ELLs and other students to be able to share their learning or to explain their thinking. A teacher can explain to parents how to do something. Ex. A teacher can post a video on how to do a math problem in order to help Ss and families. #seesawchat
  • BethHajder Feb 22 @ 7:47 PM EST
A6 The parents love seeing their child’s work. They also have loved hearing them read. Even though my families have not used it, I love the translation feature #SeesawChat

In math, I usually put up a problem on the board & they take a pic & then solve with drawing while explaining their thinking. They almost teach themselves LOL. It’s a fave to record their voice so it’s not hard to get them to explain things if that means recording LOL #Seesawchat
