Good evening #ARVRinEDU community! Steven Sato, LA, CA. Recently I read Ready Player One for insight into how we might see immersive tech influence education in the future. Looking forward to your book next Jaime!
Q2 The Learning Transported book covers the difference between #AR#VR & #MR. How would you explain the difference and is that important? #ARVRinEDU@iste
A2 #mr incorporates a layer of #AR in #VR We need to know the differences to teach Ss of the world they live in #AR#VR literacy is important. #ARVRinEDU
you must! shameless plug here for my take on the biggest message in RP1, because I really think there's a great message of self-love within Art3mis bolstered by the collaboration within the High Five. https://t.co/yu7a30ZDst#ARVRinEDU

I was thinking about this too. I was following a conference # last month and everyone was running out of the conference and cleaning out WalMarts #ARVRinEDU
Not familiar with #MR but with #AR it changes what is currently present in front of you and #VR takes to far off places like space or down to the elemental level. #ARVRinedu

A3: please include all stakeholders. This includes educating admin, parents and even students. The students will want it but have ground rules from the beginning. You'll benefit from a smooth, clean implementation starting off with everyones' opinion and support. #ARVRinEDU
A2: Understanding the difference between AR/VR/MR is very helpful when training others and it can help you decide which tool would be most appropriate but I feel the really important piece is connecting whichever platform your using to the content #ARVRinEDU
A1: I would like to learn more about security strategies for education and what IT infrastructure entails. I find privacy to be a huge concern for parents as technology becomes more prominent in schools. #ARVRinEDU
A3: I'm totally about PR. When I got to my job 2 years ago I invited the PTO finance officer to chat with me. Since then, the PTO has purchased a WMR headset and Oculus. #ARVRinEDU
infrastructure = wifi wifi wifi. the more the content resolution goes up the more bandwidth you'll need. I totally get the PII concern as well, try to stick with content that does not require individualized logins. #ARVRinEDU

A3: #ARVRinEDU takes a village. Often network, instructional technology, administrators, and curriculum and even students need to have conversations to ensure everything will work within the scope of your school setting and meet the educational needs.
A3 Bring in a team of different disciplines and teacher librarian. Helps see value via transference and collaboration with librarian is always a win. #ARVRinEDU
#ARVRinEDU. A2. VR takes you someplace else and envelopes you in the experience. AR adds things to world you are currently in and MR is a combo of the 2.
#ARVRinEDU We could use your help with my student’s short survey on AR in the classroom. This is part of a class project at TAMU-K. This project has been reviewed by the IRB. You can access the survey at the link below:

A4: #ARVRinEDU is important because it is revolutionizing how we educate our students. Creating motivation around learning, creating memories around the content, inspiring future content creators & innovators. Immersive is poised to transform learning, tweet cannot convey the pwr
#ARVRinEDU A3. Everyone! Always start with what do students need to learn and ask them how they like to learn and then find the best resources to meet those needs.
#ARVRinEDU Rebecca Crossley @educategreat from the Austin, Texas area. Well, I hope that the SXSWedu conference schedule book counts for professional development reading :-)
Q5 Share the book with educators you think could benefit from the #ARVRinEDU knowledge. Tag me @JaimeDonally and @iste and the most "Likes" by midnight tonight will get the first signed copy of the book coming April 10th!
Yes, there seems to be a war. Which one is better, AR or VR or MR or XR LOL. All the tools can offer specific learning opportunities but understanding the difference gives you purpose when searching for resources. #ARVRinEDU
A4: #ARVRinEDU is important because it provides an immersive interactive experience that allows students to have a personal relationship to the content. Connects the cool with the content 😎

A4 Because when students view content in 3D they are able to focus their cognitive resources on understanding the object rather than trying to fill in the missing parts.
#ARVRinEDU
A3: The more people involved in the collaboration the better: students, administrators, family/parents, teachers, counselors. Having a strong community and clear communication can make #ARVRinEDU a better experience for all. Each member may have their own perspectives to share.
A4. #ARVRinEDU is important because highlighting certain features, enhancing understandings, and provide accessibility is essential to 21st century learning.
I'm in the middle of the side war. My school has a Lenovo WMR but I see such great content that only runs on Rift or Vive. Will there be a standard? #ARVRinEDU
The beauty is that we can do AR/VR a million times for free - but it costs $ every time we print a 3D object. Sometimes the physical object it good, but 1-2 physical w/ unlimited AR/VR is a great combo for a classroom. #ARVRinEDU
A3. Who is using it? Being them in. who is facilitating? Bring them in. Who needs reports of outcomes? Bring them in. What topic/skill? What is the most challenging thing about that topic/skill? That’s were we start and then bring it back to each one until it works #ARVRinEDU

Just read it before dinner and then loaded the Isle of Dogs Google Spotlight Stories app. Loved the movie and now love watching the actors and their characters in VR. #ARVRinEDU

A4: #ARVRinEDU is important because it is beginning to open a whole new way of learning. It creates an environment where students are excited and motivated to learn. I believe it will spark so many students interest and become a significant aspect of our education system.
#ARVRinEDU We need to get publishers to give us more content that is aligned with content standards. Right now, a lot of content that is out there is stuff publishers think kids and/or adults would like.
Standards are one of the most important parts of the book. I connected the content to @iste student standards and Common Core (although I'm in Texas). #ARVRinEDU
