A4 We live far from our family...so we really play it by ear each Thanksgiving. This year it's just my hubs, Kaleb+me. But, sometimes our house is loaded on all levels.
We do deep fry our Turkey each year!
*But, I guess we don't really have any Thanksgiving traditions.
#tlap
A4: We share something we're thankful for around the table and make plans for Christmas. I try to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and football. #tlap
Yes! My best friend and I worked together for a very long time and we did the same thing! We said the same things so much, people would look at us funny. I miss those days! #tlap
Yes! He's very popular among my FaceBook followers. I post Ryanisms. For example, he says "I'm in a pretzel" instead of pickle, because pretzels are all twisted up like when you have a problem, you feel twisted up, but pickles are straight, so... (mostly his words, age 5). #tlap

A4: Thanksgiving Day always begins with @palspartanburg Turkey Day 8K. The rest of the day is lazy with a big meal. Black Friday with my mom is quite the production. Ya'll should follow along... https://t.co/T2U8Yo3tRD#tlap
A3: My youngest son is able to make me laugh at any time. Even though he is only 5, Nate is able to sense any bit of sadness or stress and then just breaks out with the most witty comments that are hysterical! #Tlap
A3 my son can always make me laugh. Even when he was little his knock-knock jokes would have us rolling. He puts a smile on my face and in my heart. #tlap
A4 if our kids aren’t home for Thanksgiving my wife and I always go to a movie otherwise we enjoy our family have some Pumpkin pie with our whipped cream and watch football #TLAP
A4 Were making our own traditions now and that’s the best! Traditionally, I’ve been the one who has to, sorry, gets to stir gravy until everyone’s ready but I’m passing it along to my sweet girl this year! :) #tlap
A4: The enormous family and extended family Thanksgiving dinner with every kind of regional / ethnic food you can imagine in addition to the traditional. Day of working together in prep for dinner, funfilled catching up and sharing memories, laughter, and hugs.

Q4: We usually go to a family member's house. But this year we are hosting. That will be different. We aren't shoppers on BF - but rather enjoy each other with a family game, etc. Enjoying my family since my oldest lives out of state now and is a teacher too! #tlap
A4: We just started a new tradition of picking a restaurant that we would not normally go to and checking it out for Thanksgiving. This is only year two of that one! #tlap
A4: I watch the Thanksgiving Parade every year from start to finish on TV. There is nothing like seeing all the floats and Santa Claus kick off the holiday season! #kidatheart#tlap
A4 Homemade cranberry sauce and cooking our turkey upside down have been two traditions I have started with my wife and family. We love it and it makes our supper extra special. #tlap
A4: There’s always a brief moment at this time of year, maybe with friends or students, it’s fleeting, but it makes me appreciate all I have. I know there’s food, family, etc. But whatever that momentary experience is, it just does it for me... #tlap

A4:Immigrated from India w/my fam when we were kids. Didn't do"traditional" thanksgiving for years. As we got older, my sisters &I conjured up a meal(boxed potatoes etc.) Now, tradition is everything is home-cooked &locally sourced, but the tradition remains- family &food. #tlap
A4 for 🇨🇦 Thanksgiving, lots of family dinners and get togethers. Around the 🇺🇸 Thanksgiving, we are usually set up the Christmas tree. We did this yesterday and I love pulling out our special “Rauch family evolution” ornaments. #tlap
A4: After eating dinner on Thanksgiving Eve with my hub's fam, we decorate Gingerbread Houses! Grandma Jan makes all the gingerbread pieces and has tons of decorating supplies! #tlap

#tlap
A4 Everyone has to say one thing they are truly thankful for from the past year. My adult children always roll their eyes, but they do it for me.....and I always end up crying.
A4: Be mindful of what we have and not take any of it for-granted. We serve others and we talk at length about why it's important to do so without asking for anything in return. #tlap
A4. Eat and watch football. After dinner, we watch Christmas Vacation. I also run at least a 5k every Thanksgiving Day. On Black Friday, we disconnect and spend the rest of the weekend in the mountains. #tlap
A4 Thank You slips I have Ss make & give to someone (I encourage them to give them to a classmate or a teacher), dinner with my extended family, & not participating in the horrible “shop on thanksgiving” trend. Also will make one of Grandma Anderson’s Raisin Cakes 😊 #tlap
A4: When the patriarchs of our family passed on & new traditions had to be made we now travel to be w/my bros at T-Giving & they come to us for X-Mas! Everyone gathered at the Grandparents but now the kids have become the adults as new routines & memories are made! #tlap
A4: If we survive our trek to Wisconsin, we set up our Christmas tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Good kids get to hang ornaments; bad kids get to watch. #tlap
A4 #tlap it’s our travel holiday. We begin early and go to three houses seeing so much family in one day and eating a ton, but I cook little. I make a veggie for one house. Wine and really good chocolates for everywhere. I get to dress nice bc/I don’t cook. So fun!
A4 Our Thanksgiving Day tradition is my husband and two kids all sitting together enjoying the dinner! The rest of our family lives out of state, when we all get the opportunity to gather, it's a huge celebration! #tlap

A5 I want to serve kids in orphanages--provide clothes, food, books, instruments, provide music teachers, theater opportunities--any type of "outlet" to help w/the trauma within.
I'd like to provide scholarships for their college tuitions--at least to get them started.
#tlap
Let's make sure we remember we teach students, not just standards.
It is important to think about the experience that students have in our classrooms. Let's design engaging lessons that captivate both the minds but also the hearts of our students.
#XPLAP#Tlap#edchat
We always eat early... my grandmas/mom/sister @mrsmaherslp make the best meal I’ve probably ever had. The tradition is the people, food, typical Huber arguments about silly family stuff. #tlap
A5 There are so many charities that exist already, I find it hard to try & think of another one to go out there. If I had to, I would create one to share kindness. A charity that would support other causes to do good. No admin costs, purely supporting human connection/love. #tlap

#tlap
A5 Free Showers. I know that sounds silly, but a charity that would build showers (buildings housing showers) with fresh towels and soaps, shampoos...for homeless people. Whenever I feel like things are not going well, (physically or emotionally) a warm shower helps.
A6 I'd like Adam Levine to join us for Thanksgiving. I mean...I might lose my everlivin mind w/his hotness..lol, but I'd like to chat with him about coaching. Compare skills--coaching singers vs coaching EDUs &Ss. Also, I'd like to chat music & guitar awesomeness with him!

A6 Abe Lincoln. Just to talk to him, hear his voice, listen to what he thinks is important. Whenever I read to my first graders about him, I always tear up when it gets to the part about him being shot. What could have happened if he had been around longer?
A7: I love paying for the next car's food in the drive thru! I have done this sporadically for years, and this year was the first time I pulled up to a window and the car in front of me paid for mine. It was the sweetest thing and so humbling to be the recipient! #tlap

Q7: One random act that I did was giving my class things they need. It doesn't mean things I give to all of them - but maybe a random child needs something (physical or emotional) - I give it to them and it makes me grateful I was able to be a part of their lives. #tlap
A7 Coming home late & hoping to get the kids in bed before they fell asleep, we saw a young mom pushing her asleep toddler in a shopping cart. We called out, rushed home, brought her our stroller. Our kids were still awake and my daughter said she was proud of us. #tlap
