Agreed! They are waiting for Apple to “let them in” and then we’ll see it explode in the App Store. Definitely a great app for our classrooms. #ARVRinEDU
Q1: Now that you’ve downloaded the HoloGlobe app, open the app and keep the #MergeCube in view through the camera. Share the first you notice when viewing the earth. #ARVRinEDU
Q2: In #HoloGlobe, explore the buttons on the side of the Earth by selecting the building blocks. Explain one of the views that could be tied to curriculum/standards. #ARVRinEDU#MergeCube@MergeVR
That is a really cool feature! I didn’t quite “get” that until I did a video chat with @JoyceBronwyn in Australia and it was dark for me and light for her and cold for us and warm for them. #ARVRinEDU
A2 I like the one that talks about the water, and shows the satellites, very cool to be able to move it around and hear the narration or record your own #arvrinedu#mergecube@MergeVR
So this is from #CES2018 I asked the rep (unsuccessfully) if I could have the spinning display, loved them. How fun would it be to set up activity with spinning cubes around room #ARVRinEDU

Q3: The #MergeCube allows students to hold the Earth in their hands. How does the #HoloGlobe differ from other #AR astronomy apps?
Hint, @NASA has something to do with it. @MergeVR#ARVRinEDU
Just did a little research. If you don’t have an android device, and want to check out NOAA’s Science on a Sphere, you can download for Windows/Mac here: https://t.co/TpOFmVSgFz@JaimeDonally#arvrinedu
So this week we are supporting 7th grade with remembering Pearl Harbor. I actually went with them to the Japanese history museum yesterday, #manzanar. next we will support science as they stud the flow of blood through the heart. We will be using You by Sharecare. #arvrinedu
A3 Ok, since we have no Android users in the #ARVRinEDU chat tonight, I'll share. The #HoloGlobe is going to blow your mind. Live data coming from @NASA INSIDE OF THE EARTH...INSIDE OF THE #MergeCube! Live weather, live: precipitation, drought risk, snow/ice, earthquakes, temps!!
Typically, we're stuck with #AR experiences that don't pull live data like weather conditions. This is a game changers, because the @NASA integration with #HoloGlobe gives the students a realistic view of the earth based on current conditions. #ARVRinEDU@MergeVR

The fact that we can study in class, visit museums & go back in time with #vr. It’s amazing and the Ss agree. Although I can’t say for certain they’ll remember this week 10 years from now I know we’ve done a thorough job incorporating even the impossible thanks to #vr#arvrinedu
Awesome is right! You can ask the students to become meteorologists and use the app to explain weather conditions and possible hazards...all in SPANISH! #ARVRinEDU
Great point! The data we need in Google should be the data we need in #ARVRinEDU. We'll begin to see more integrations, especially in web-based #AR & #VR
Aaaggghh! I raffled off all my Merge Cubes at our Edcamp last weekend, so I was without tonight. Just ordered 2 more from Amazon. Overpaid compared to WalMart, but I had a craving, ya’ know? #ARVRinEDU
And once downloaded, the program (SOS Explorer Lite) from @NASA downloads another 4.23 GB of data. Should take about 3 hours for me. #ARVRinEdu Just do you know what you’re getting into...
Q2 #ARVRinEDU I am sooo excited about the updated #HoloGLOBE. It is amazing! I have an Android device so have checked it out. Besides what Jamie mentioned it also shows the tectonic plates! Perfect for my earth science standards (in Texas, theTEKS)!
