A2 That, like glitter, education takes the efforts of tiny little things, but together it creates something that can shine
A2: Education should include novelty, creativity, and a little (organized) chaos at times.
A2 Or if applied incorrectly, can lead to a huge mess,w/ greater effort to clean up
are you here? are you here?
A2: Education should be fun, awesome, and sometimes a little messy, like glitter.
Luckily, they have the entire summer to forget about it :).
A2 glitter to me is taking your learning up a notch
Q2: all the millions of kids and their different needs and reaching them all in your classroom
I love me some Care Bears. Care bear stare
A2 Self-actualization; learning and appreciating who one is intrinsically. Angela Rembert checking in late.
. Q2: Glitter may be the celebration part, what makes every T & classroom unique & special!
A2: my efforts in using Twitter more this past year. Chats, host chats, Ss tweet, more social media etc!
A2 Glitter in education is the sticky stuff that gets everywhere and is annoying. It's policies that fall down from on high.
Wow! So true. https://t.co/vRX3Dz6EgD
A2 That, like glitter, education takes the efforts of tiny little things, but together it creates something that can shine
Q2: My students: exciting, fun, hard to contain, won't go where you want them to, hard to clean up after, and hard to see leave
Like glitter, learning will stick on you and spread everywhere!
A2: Education allows you to create anything you dream of.
A2: a lot of sparkle and an element of complete chaos
A2. Creating something beautiful to share what you are learning.
is now trending in USA, ranking 42
A2 when a student gets to the point of adding glitter to a project, it means they have completed and want to do more
A2: A single piece of glitter isn't as beautiful as when it's in a collection...just like knowledge, ideas, and understandings.
As much as I dislike glitter, Ive seen kids use it to create awesome works to dismiss it entirely
I need to find me a glitter pic!
and it's itchy, too.
So itchy.
And what a beautiful chaos it is!
Q3 What attribute(s) of a teacher would glitter represent?
A2 Glitter may be the diversity in which we all learn. We all learn in different ways and shine in our own knowledge
. Q3: T attributes: Risk taking, creativity, innovation, love.
A3: Teachers help our students to shine brighter and make the world a better place.
Our endless (sometimes) ability to sparkle, entertain, and engage the chaos to make something beautiful and interesting
A3. The T represents the glue used to bind it all together to create something whole.Ts can use collective exp of Ss/Ts = learn
a Ts ability to make every student shine in their own way !!
A3: the ability to shine, open mindedness to create anything.
A3. Being able to tie a shoe, redirect 5 Ss who are off task, take attendance, and gulp coffee all at once.
Hey there, Just came across this chat and would like to engage! What's the topic for today?
I never figured I can relate glitter to education.... Dang man, y'all rock.
. That's true. Velcro needed.
A3 Techniques and strategies to engage all learners. Also, light bulb moments…Ss are getting engaged and passionate!
Some seriously deep glitter thoughts to reflect on in my next round of carpooling, which starts... now. Thx bbl
A3: Happy, smiling all day, being everywhere-extra curric act, eager, striving for greatness
A3: To me it describes an innovative who is updated with trends! And has his own style in terms of teaching
wait for my book, it will blow you mind
A3: Whimsy. Versatility. Brilliance.
A3 Glitter represents the energy of a teacher, spreading over even the lamest ideas to shiny them up.
Are you writing a book?!?
when a is passionate abt teaching, he gives from the heart and have fun while doing it
N-I-C-E! https://t.co/K6p0K3LqrP
A3 Glitter represents the energy of a teacher, spreading over even the lamest ideas to shiny them up.
starts in 30 min! Join us to talk about the 1st step in teaching coding! How do you get started??
It's all written in glitter.
no but there is a chapter on glitter
Let's look at it from the other direction. Q4 What attribute(s) of a students would glitter represent?
A4: ability levels, cultural diversity, personal preferences, creativity, sweetness.
Q4 What attribute(s) of a students would glitter represent?
A4. Sticking to my theme of glitters = individual pieces making parts of a whole. Glitter represents the myriad exps of Ss 1/2
A4 Diversity, which increases possibilities! Never a dull moment with so many personalities and so much uniqueness!!
2/2 A4 Each glitter pieces represent a Student's experiences/characteristics/qualities that make them whole. So much inside 1 S
A4: Students can be messy and chaotic and but ultimately make the world a better place.
Their ability to bring creativity and sunshine to the dullest of tasks.
A4. How their thoughts can go all over the place, but when they come together it's amazing! https://t.co/M4BcxwH7pl
A4: In Kg, their attn span! And the areas we cover from learning-all subjects.
A4 it is about taking it to another level. When other students gets to 10, glitter kid goes to 11 https://t.co/WmbR9cp5rt
I love everyone's view on these glitter topics! Going to follow everyone 😍
that is how innovation happens. Sometimes it is greasy and grimy.
A4. Glitter also shines, just as Ss should shine
A bright student who doesn't always have the best idea but he always have new ideas.Someone with positive contagious vibes :)
A4: Having minds of their own! Going in many directions all at once. :)
And they are sticky. The little ones especially.
A4 And of course, just like how glitter always seems to not disappear. Theyll nver disappear from your heart.
S/o to my newly graduated 5th graders. My they do well in Middle School and beyond...
I heard someone talking Jive. #5 is about to arrive
Q5 Now that we have defined the idea of glitter, how can use the idea to increase engagement and ability?
A2 Or if applied incorrectly, can lead to a huge mess,w/ greater effort to clean up MORE >> https://t.co/hqR70DyQik
A5. Try something new, even if it seems icky. Will catch u and Ss by surprise
A5 easy...COLLABORATE - spread it around!
A5: think outside the box to hook them.
A5 Provide options & variety to bring out the best in all students! Each learner has the right to shine in his/her own way!!
A5 I do a lot of activities that I do not know how it will turn out. Every year it is a little different
A5 View/use as a pos metaphor of diversity, enjoy the brilliance of and teach sweeping up https://t.co/hyVqtYWYBQ
Q5 Now that we have defined the idea of glitter, how can use the idea to increase engagement and ability?
A5. Glitter is the novelty we throw in strategically to our routines to keep our Ss engaged.
. SPECTACULAR, Glitteriffic!
A5: Learning should be messy, individualized, fun, a bit chaotic an always creative. And we should all sparkle more :)
Yep, risk taking - we need more of it!
A5: Don't be afraid of the mess! Sometimes you have to make a mess to make things that are meaningful, beautiful, & important.
and like anything else, if it;s overused, it loses its magic
I went with a totally different interpretation...and I love this idea as well! Makes sense!
that is a good-looking table!
sometimes excellent ideas are hard to see and they need a little shininess to be noticed
I'm spending my on today - lots more fun
A5: let their imaginations go wild. Involve Ss in choosing actvs, don't limit imagination
I may just use in my next post - hmmmmmm watch this space :) https://t.co/ZqAXPKy1Bb
I'm spending my on today - lots more fun
Q6 What are other terms like glitter that we can use to represent where we want learning to go?
I agree, I think it is important to give students choice
A6 I use the term tacos a lot. I love the idea of layer flavors to create new tastes. Just like a good lesson
A6: rainbows, shooting stars, outer space
A6Photography metaphors, Ss can apply contrast, hue, temperature, etc. to assignments pretty well https://t.co/JkuO6EI58x
A6: To infinity and beyond, The second star to the right and straight on til morning, where no one has gone before,
In that case, 7 layer bean dip! 🐷 https://t.co/f90Gm4S2x3
