This is what I love most about the #edcamp experience! You feel so supported and better armed to return to the classroom with a wealth of knowledge, energy, and passion for doing increidible things for students! Thanks for joining us at #edcampwalkerspoint
So happy you took the time to join us and that this first event was a success, because Iโd love to do something like this on a regular basis! Not sure if I can wait until the fall of 2019 for organizing another #edcamp!
Totally agreeโmost of my innovation has come from the K-12 space. #HigherEd does provide centers for teaching & learning, but Iโve found them to reflect traditional mindset or far from recent pedagogical research. Have even tried the #EdCamp model w/ marginal success.
I also find it interesting that most of my best PD comes from chats with K-12 Ts. I find that outside of faculty of ed, in #HigherEd ppl are more focused on subject specific research than doing teaching and learning research...any suggestions for #HigherED leaders in this area?
