A2: Have not had opportunity. But would like students to see their individual heritage-country where their ancestors inhabited
So important. I couldn't afford to in college (didn't even consider). Took advantage of programs for teachers
A2: This will be 10th year taking stus to Stratford, ON for Shakespeare festival. They alwys return w/ new respect--& friends
A1: I was able to stay w/pen pal in France young, plus undergrad and grad there- all over.
NYC is filled with new cultures to interact with!
A2: con't Sometimes it helps to find roots get grounded-builds confidence &self-esteem.
A2: I've taken students to France for anywhere from 10 days to 7 weeks - I love seeing them become more independent!
