A1: I created #pbis lessons that included #kagan strategies, breakout boxes, and other fun activities for Ss. I am hoping to use those again for our K-2 Ss and doing something just as creative for the new upper Ss joining our crew. #waledchat
A1: Probably my Westward Expansion Twitter Chat. Students had a blast getting to take on the roles of other people and debating with each other. #waledchat
A1 I was not in the classroom last year, so difficult to say, but last year, I did create some leadership hands-on experiences with hidden lessons that I want to use with my students. All about curiosity, creativity, collaboration, communication. #waledchat
A1: I did a math auction where student bid to answer problems. They was so much excitement in the classroom that teacher came to see what we were doing. Students were so excited to post their solutions on @Flipgrid#waledchat
A1: I have stations prepared for states of matter and elements, compounds, and mixtures that I am super proud of!!! Also, can’t go wrong with #rubegoldberg machines!!! #waledchat
A1: My best lesson was a unit on Middle Ages. Ss created a character and blogged from that character's perspective as they lived through events in the Middle Ages. #waledchat
A1: Having Ss play mathsketball to calculate free throw averages & convert %s to fractions to decimals. Also, mock online shopping for tax & discount! #waledchat
A1: Our Kindness Share Fair is always a hit! Students share their kindness passion projects and describe how they inspire others to be the good! Take a peek here: https://t.co/UI8hQ5Ljv4#waledchat#passionforkindness
A1: Last year was my first year as an #educoach, so I will reflect on PD opportunities that were created. While I enjoyed serving my staff in many different ways, I was particularly excited to offer a "Tech Breakfast with Tiffany" #personalizedpd session. #waledchat
A1: I was student teaching in a grade level than I am teaching now, but I did an escape room that I really enjoyed. I plan on doing a similar activity with my students at some point this year. #waledchat
A1: When we talk about systems of equations in algebra, kids generally find it hard and confusing but I broke it down into a whole example about burgers and fries and it totally clicked! We also did a @breakoutEDU I made to reinforce the idea and they loved it so much! #waledchat
A1: The one lesson that’s remained fairly consistent over the years is my introduction to literary theory with stations - all hands on and students don’t even know that they’re learning the foundations of theory. #waledchat
Can’t use it this yr since I won’t be teaching chem but our separation of mixtures lab. Kids designed procedure and design. I kind of did sell tickets. Invited admin for formal eval and had a student FaceTime an absent student into the lab so he didn’t miss it. #waledchat
A1: I'm not in the classroom anymore, but the Assistant Principal's Advisory Committee was a success last year. It's coming back bigger and better this year. #empowerstudents#studentleaders#waledchat
A1: Last year, we read "The Tell Tale Heart" and we turned the class into a courtroom. The students had to pull out textual evidence to prove whether the narrator was guilty or not. They loved dressing up and putting on a show! #waledchat
A1 As a director, I’m looking forward to seeing our Ts personalize learning with our one to one initiative. I’m going to see Ss driving the Instruction! #waledchat
#waledchat A1: I taught a writing lesson using a reverse mapping technique. The students were given a complete body paragraph and they went all the way back to the outline. It was awesome!!!
A1 staying calm. I had a challenging class last year and sometimes it was hard to stay calm. I learned when I stayed calm the class could turn it around faster and better. #waledchat
A1: Globes to Maps. Ss walked in & on their group table were a set of materials & a note on the board that said "You have 30 minutes to wrap this ball as tightly as you can in this paper. Make a sphere." I changed the slide and it started a timer. Was amazing to watch. #waledchat
A1 - What you want to learn Wednesday! It was a day of the week where students picked a variety of topics in which to study and present. Broke up the week and was a great way to learn material outside the curriculum. #waledchat
A1: working on compare and contrast w/different tellings of 3 little pigs. Ss had a change to draw out and then share verbally using @Flipgrid. They really enjoyed the 2 mediums and did a great job. #waledchat
#waledchat A1: Solving systems of equations in math using paper airplanes. Students had to follow directions to build the paper airplanes, graph results, write equations, and figure out where planes would intersect.
A1 I’m selling tickets to our whole systems of equations unit. So much great problem solving, the students always surprise me. This year I can’t wait to make it a lot more student driven! #waledchat
A1: After having Ss fill out a survey with academic, social & emotional based questions, I used the information to select appropriate texts & tasks for my struggling & reluctant readers, because the choices were relevant they were more engaged & felt empowered. #waledchat
A1: tour of Kansas City to learn about landmarks! Ss could do a self guided tour or a teacher led tour. They walked to ‘landmarks’ with a info slide about the chosen landmark. #waledchat
A1 When I set up a criminal investigation scene to help my Ss get a better understanding of making inferences and every @breakoutEDU that my Ss have done. It was great to watch their teamwork grow through them. #waledchat
A1: One that seemed pretty energizing was when SS build landforms using var soils dirt clay and silt and then manipulated each to cause Eros or wthrng #waledchat
A1: Haven’t used it yet, but I’m SUPER excited on a constellation/history/science/narrative project I’m working on! I absolutely love everything space. #waledchat
A1 I created a UDL lesson on fairy tales. My Ss retold a familiar text with either puppets they created, a Booksnap or a poster board. We recorded all of their work into Seesaw and was a great way to assess retelling a text. #waledchat
A1: My Geometry kids loved the "Getting to know your Town" project. They had to find and capture many different geometric shapes in their world. they had the option to complete their project on Instagram - will definitely emphasize that option this year! #waledchat
A1: Combining literature- The Boy Who Fell off the Mayflower by P.J. Lynch and creating boats from recycled materials and seeing how much weight they would hold- I used plastic dinosaurs instead of pilgrims. #Waledchat
A1.2: Another teacher in my building used the book A Long Walk to Water to have Ss walk around our campus using GPS to find water and fill their bucket at various stations. I will be working this into my repertoire this year for sure. #waledchat
A2 When students have fun, when time goes by fast and they don't see it as painful work, they always seem to get more out of it. We have to simply be creative in bringing the fun out in learning. #waledchat
I posted slides of a variety of questions for the students to view before- they were given $1000 each and I did my best version of an auctioneer! Students loved it! #waledchat
A2: Middle schoolers love to debate, so giving them that open space to have historical debates let them know what they love. Had students ask me other times during the year if we could do it again. #waledchat
A1. Our Volcano project or Food PH testing experiment where Ss tested a variety of foods and the different acid/base contents, and had to figure out based on color change acid or base. #waledchat
A1: I'm late! I can't wait to do the "place project" again. Everyone is assigned a country that they are NOT from and every day for 3 weeks, they research a different component of the country and prepare a PPT and get comfortable with public speaking. #waledchat
A2: What made the lesson great was they weren't just having a boring discussion or answering comprehension questions. This was something entirely new to them. #waledchat
A1: I transformed my classroom into a hospital. Each lesson that day was centered around this theme. My kids were 💯percent engaged the entire day!! #waledchat
A2: I think my teachers appreciated the treat of a personalized Panera bagel order ;) & #personalizedPD. When ordering their bagel ahead of time, they also let me know of something that they were curious about. I curated resources that were ready to go for them. #waledchat
A2: It incorporated their interests which totally engaged them! So many of them enjoy sports! & with the mock online shopping lesson they could choose their favorite stores and items to buy! Helped me get to know them better too! #waledchat
A2: What made our Kindness Share Fair so great was our Ss having complete ownership over their projects. They designed & implemented their acts of kindness & created projects to share! Our role as Ts was greeting the guests with a LOT of smiling! #waledchat#passionforkindness
A2: This unit was great because it involved room transformations, outside lessons, creating a blog, "guest-speakers", digital breakouts, and simulations. #waledchat
A1 one of my favorite things to do was to give the criteria of a project and then they created their project any way they wanted as long as the criteria was there. It was awesome to see their creativity #waledchat
A2: They were able to work in groups and talk to one another to solve a problem. They got to be loud and didn't realize they were even beginning the stages of a big geography concept. When we broke down the lesson in our recap, Ss were amazed they actually learned. #waledchat
A2: Middle schoolers love to debate, so giving them that open space to have historical debates let them know what they love. Had students ask me other times during the year if we could do it again. #waledchat
A2: It made sense! Not one person could even think about asking when they would use it. They understood what they were doing and why, and they always gave their answer with real world context. I tried to make the problems fun so I think that helped too! #waledchat
A2: After the escape room, the students commented that they enjoyed it. I tried to make it engaging for the students. They were having fun and reviewing the content. #waledchat
A2 - Student choice👍. Also, the criteria was set by them. We called it doing great work for you. Some wanted a grade, while others just wanted to be creative. It’s amazing what happens when kids have a say in learning. #waledchat
There were so many options for what they were going to separate that each was unique and they got to design the procedure. It was kind of problem based learning so they got to do total hands on application. #waledchat
A2: The committee chooses an area to find a solution to and then implements their solution. Such ownership, authentic learning, and leadership skills developed by MS Ss!!! #waledchat
A1: I’m wanting to continue to use technology. I had a huge focus on it last year and now as a dean I want to build off of it and ensure my Ss and Ts utilize it to the fullest to see what else lies out beyond our four walls! #waledchat
A2: It's a low-stakes way to introduce public speaking in beginner ESL. They get 3 days to prepare note cards, rehearse them with peers, etc... so when they present to the same peers, it's no big deal. #waledchat
A2 The students enjoyed it because it was challenging! It gave them a sense of accomplishment, and forced them to try new things, collaborate, fail and try again! #waledchat
A2: Ss loved the choice & excitement for the topic! They loved that others were coming into the room to see what they were doing. Our room was the place to be! #waledchat
A2: They got to read children’s books, have fun with optical illusions, and watch a short animated film, all while they tried to figure out what the point was. #waledchat
A2: my co-tt and I differentiated how they ‘toured’. She monitored the self guided and I took Ss who wanted help with me as a tour guide. We also worked KC shirts and co-art drew the skyline on the whiteboard. We transformed the room! #waledchat
A2: Everything was real for them. They chose objects they encounter every day and were able to complete their project with something they use basically every minute of every day #waledchat
A2: Being able to use technology to create projects allowed them to gain new perspectives of the advantages of using tech in the classroom. As well, they were able to peer conference through different means than pencil and paper. #waledchat
A2: when ss don’t hear me blab on and on about topics and can learn by sorting, creating, matching, mixing, observing, acting out, playing, etc. and get to talk to me one to one, they thrive. They have fun and learn. #waledchat
A2: the compare and contrast was great becasue they were able to show their knowledge by creating pictures. They could incopporate words if wanted - but writing is difficult for many of my students. So using flipgrid to tell wheir words was much more powerful. #waledchat
Great lessons are about getting students passionate about learning. There isn’t any one thing thatvslwsys works, but having kids making decisions can really help. #waledchat
A2~
It was a total group effort and needed to rely on each other to do the project ...they also loved it because it was messy at times, loved the loud music playing in background, & the team effort at end was evident with the designs the created ... #fanfavorite ✅
#waledchat
A2: My students loved that I gave them a whole body paragraph. I told that I wrote the paragraph for them and they cheered. They didn’t realize they were going to analyze it. It worked wonderfully. They worked in groups and moved around the room. #waledchat
I agree.. by allowing students to have choices in how they display their comprehension of the skills is powerful as well. It gives them a sense of ownership in their learning. #waledchat
A2: Being able to use technology to create projects allowed them to gain new perspectives of the advantages of using tech in the classroom. As well, they were able to peer conference through different means than pencil and paper. #waledchat
A2: I had Ss tell me that they’d never had a teacher ask them questions like that. I also had Ss surprised that I actually used the information to pick relevant texts & tasks based on their responses. They were very appreciative & discussions were phenomenal #waledchat
A3: I had a source analysis for students and some of the language just went way over their heads. I knew it was challenging, but I was hoping they would approach it was a growth mindset. Some did, many were a work in progress. #waledchat
A3: I had the students write an argumentative essay before break and I feel that they were rushed. I didn't have as much time to conference with them like I wanted to, but I hope to time my assignments more wisely. #waledchat
A3 Many of the lessons I have observed that on the surface didn’t appear to go well ended up being some of the best lessons. Ss learned from the process instead of the product. #waledchat
A3: Assigned an Africa Today project where Ss were to teach about the characteristics of culture in modern Africa. I provided Ss with too large a task, and the quality of the lesson was not as high as I would have liked. #waledchat
A3: I attempted to do a blended learning lesson on the Constitutional Convention. Ss went at their own pace. It was unorganized, rushed, and they weren't connected to the content. Most were disengaged. #waledchat
A3: A teacher requested a SMARTBoard lesson I had taught years ago. I tried to teach it the same way, but it was a flop, mainly because I am now more cognizant when Ss are NOT engaged! Had to do some on-the-spot modifications to keep the lesson rolling! #waledchat
A3: I had wanted students to draft a TV pilot for an adaptation of Midsummer Night’s Dream. Kids had fun, but not positive that it stayed focused enough on “real learning.” I think tweaking of some of the guidelines will help. #waledchat
A3: I tried to do an interview project without properly modeling how to ask follow-up questions. I thought it would come naturally. It didn't. #waledchat
Just as restaurants ask for feedbacks from customers. We as teachers can ask students input into the lessons so that we can learn from the experience. #waledchat
A2: If customers don't buy a dish, the restaurant will replace it. If customers really like a dish, the restaurant will prepare more of it.... Hmmm.... I wonder if the same could be said of how we plan our activities.... #masterychat@ERobbPrincipal@Eric_Carlin@E_Sheninger
A3 Lessons that have left my students being passive learners always seem to be more difficult. When I tried to talk to long instead of better dividing my time with activities & experiences; I found to lose the focus from my kids. I don't blame them, they need to move. #waledchat
A3: I can think of a couple times the activity overshadowed the standard—when I later assessed the standard, their mastery was lower despite all that work I’d put into creating a cool experience. The activity’s got to directly enhance the standard. #waledchat
A3: I have failure lessons all the time. LOL we all learn a lot from them. I am not afraid to put myself out there on a crazy lesson limb...the kids feel safe because I can admit failure. LOL #waledchat
A2. Active hands on learning. Engagement! Fun! They wanted to take the project home, but they couldn't because of the mess! Shared with P, if they wanted to try projects at home, information on how to do things. Where to look! #waledchat
A3: I launched my first book study a bit too late toward the end of the school year. We wanted to give it a shot and the interest was there, but it is was challenging to keep everyone on track with end-of-the-year craziness. We didn't get to wrap up as I had hoped. #waledchat
A3: I feel like I worked sooooo hard to teach slope and y-intercept and make it make sense but for some students it just didn’t click and that was really frustrating 😭 #waledchat
Was attempting to do a lab on natural and artificial selection and pulled the wrong supplies and procedure. Had to try to make a population lab fit what I needed. #waledchat
A3: I tried to fit a lesson in before our spring break and did not give it the energy needed! Came back after break and rocked it-- All the students loved Algebra! #waledchat
A1 - Easy...an activity where Ss listen to me read 20 sentences...1/2 have paper w/ instructions to make mental images of sentences (semantic encoding) & 1/2 have instructions to listen & rate the sentences on how easily they can pronounce them (auditory encoding). 1/2 #waledchat
A3 - We we’re doing a health walk as a class. The goal was for all groups to come up with questions during the time spent walking. It ended up flopping l because kids just wanted to relax and decompress. Not the worst thing, but not the goal of the lesson. #waledchat
A1: I have Ss write a letter recommending a T for T of the Year. Lesson is a culmination for study on rhetorical appeals and persuasive language. #waledchat
Yes, the great part of was having 3 different classes to grow with each time. 2nd time was better, 3rd time had Ss laughing and enjoying it! #waledchat
A3: I created a choice menu for Ss on integers. Students really enjoyed it, but didn't feel that they were getting quality instruction time from it. I also found it really hard to assess with the given options #waledchat
I made some mental notes and have adjusted the lesson for this year. Modified the amount of information Ss needed to included and reduced the amount of information on the rubric. I will see how it goes. #waledchat
A3b - when lessons don’t go well it actually makes us better teachers. Most don’t think like that, but its what happens after the lesson is over that is key. #waledchat
A3: A part of a lesson that I did would have worked better in small groups instead of individual. But I was trying to mix it up and they were already working in groups with other parts of the lesson. #waledchat
A3b - when lessons don’t go well it actually makes us better teachers. Most don’t think like that, but its what happens after the lesson is over that is key. #waledchat
Mock trials were also a hit in my classroom and sparked an extraordinary level of engagement all around. When they heard we were doing one, they would race into the room, ready to go. They learned so much, and the experience resulted in strong final essays, as well. #waledchat
A3 I changed grade levels last year, so there were several lessons where I can do better this year. What went wrong was I didn’t provide enough scaffolding prior and went too fast for my 1st graders. #waledchat
Then, I ask 10 questions about the 20 sentences. The 1/2 who semantically encode pass...those who only use auditory encoding fail. It's quite powerful for the students to see that how we think about and with material matters for retention. 2/2 #waledchat
A2. Total engagement & student led- with clues they came up with about our state, guessing of the other place - again student empowerment! Also excitement, wanting more, & time flies due to so much engagement! #waledchat
Marks of a great teacher. Reflection is one things but meaningful change and another. I'll definitely be looking forward to hearing about it. #waledchat
A3: Using suggested titles in program provided. Ss were NOT interested nor invested in the text- perfect opportunity to have a discussion about what we didn’t like about it & why. Talked about this in my #edusations interview with @MrPStrunk#waledchathttps://t.co/LHbD6uPhTm
A3 The lessons that don't go over well are the lessons where I have my Ss sit still too long. I can't pinpoint one, it's just an overall feeling when I'm done and their glazed over eyes. I'm getting better at breaking the monotony. #Waledchat
A3~
Not enough physical space for Ss to engage their whole body during our science lab block... total nightmare~ Ss knocked over sand projects, littles crying, others playing hide & seek ... #workinprogress#waledchat
A3: trying to implementing tech to research for writing informative stories. We tried to integrate immediately and not just let Ss explore the app and explicitly teach how to research #waledchat
A4: I went into the source and added arrows and textbooks to help breakdown some of the more challenging terms so they can better understand the source. #waledchat
Haha! We warn our first lesson groups “You’re the beta group!” and provide time for them to offer suggestions/feedback so we can tweak for the next group. @osambrose and I learned a LOT about our own teaching this way! #waledchat
#waledchat A3: Having to rush through a graphic novel at the end of the year due to losing a lot of class time to testing. We had to leave a lot of the fun and interesting supplemental activities out this time around.
A4 This year I will be giving a lot of leadership to my students. They will be personalizing their learning and designing the experience that best suits them. I will be spending a lot of time conferring with my students to make sure to guide them along their journey. #waledchat
A3: Any lesson in which I spend more time talking than is necessary does not go as well as a lesson in which students collaborate and learn from each other. #waledchat
I believe it’s okay as teachers to show students when lessons doesn’t go as well. It makes us humans and not robots 🤖. As need to see that it’s okay to make mistake. It’s part of the learning process. #waledchat
A3b - when lessons don’t go well it actually makes us better teachers. Most don’t think like that, but its what happens after the lesson is over that is key. #waledchat
A3. Weaving project- too big! You need to start small to build courage, Ss just wanted to hurry and finish and not take the time to do project the right way! #waledchat
A4 - I would definitely have a list of topics that need to be covered. Also a time limit on the walk. Finally, a challenge of which group was most creative. #waledchat
A3: tried to put together groups that would become hybrid groups. Too confusing for the kids when 1-2 Ss were absent. Switching to a new discussion/grouped strategy next year. #waledchat
A4: I want to provide more direct instruction for more context. I also want turn the convention into a simulation as a way to have Ss connect more with the lesson. A simulation can also have a guest speaker!!!! #waledchat
A4: The next time that I offer this for fellow teachers, I want to create a stronger experience. I will plan earlier, offer more ways for everyone to interact and share, ensure that we have plenty of time, and request that important stakeholders get involved. #waledchat
A4: If a T requests a whole group SMARTBoard lesson, we HAVE to have some form of student response embedded so all Ss have voice & accountability. Ss can use iPads and @Flipgrid or @Seesaw - maybe station rotations with the SMARTBoard activity being one station! #waledchat
Yeah, I find that conduct pretty directly reflects the quality of the learning experience I’ve created. When I find myself putting out metaphorical fires over and over, I’ve probably got some adjusting to do. #waledchat
I made some mental notes and have adjusted the lesson for this year. Modified the amount of information Ss needed to included and reduced the amount of information on the rubric. I will see how it goes. #waledchat
A3: I was teaching a lesson using a website that had the students enter their names if they had a question. I cannot recall the name at this moment. It did not work out based on what I was doing at the moment, and I had to stop and re-adjust on the fly. #waledchat
A4: I actually adjusted by the time I saw the next class with new graphics, jokes, and funny acronyms to help Ss remember. So much better and even got to rework with the 1st group!
#waledchat
A4: I want to include a reflection piece where they explain how the play inspired their choices and why they included/excluded specific elements. #waledchat
A4: Don't ask students to do something that I haven't done myself and THEN modeled, even if I think it's intuitive. It's not intuitive. Just like some things that are easy for others are totally not intuitive for us. #waledchat
A3 Last year I was doing a lesson on rotations about a point and it was a train wreck! The instructions were not clear and I just assumed that my Ss would have a prior knowledge. After I explained how I envisioned it and how we could do different! #waledchat
I’d like to say it was just a hectic time in the year but honestly I think it was missing the aha moment of being as clear and simple as burgers and fries! I’m working on ways to make it more applicable and maybe more discovery based because I think that would help #waledchat
A4 Reflection should happen daily. Classroom observations shouldn’t be....I caught you...it should be....what went well, what areas can improve, and what can I do to help you get there? #waledchat
A1: our lesson was on “Expected” and “Unexpected” behavior. We acted out various ways of greeting one another, entering a classroom and modeling body language. The kids got to see for themselves instead of trying to imagine. #waledchat
A1: Probably the one where about 18 9th grade pre-AP geometry students used a miter saw for the first time to learn the importance of congruence. There were no casualties. #waledchat
A4: I am going to change up the small group vs. individual work. I made notes from last year so hopefully it will go better this year. If not, I will try something new the next time. #waledchat
A4: Going 1:1 this year - definitely want to incorporate more tech. Also readjusting some of the options so they are both valuable instructional tools and also easy to assess. Don't want to waste valuable time with Ss! #waledchat
A3. Usually when my lessons fail my kids step up to the plate to give me suggestions! I aways listen;) we celebrate my failures & theirs enthusiastically together! #waledchat
A4: I learned a lot of great books from #teachLikeAPirate so many good ideas! I love a good activity or game to go with any and all lessons! I will also look for more reflection questions so my Ss can assess if it was a “good” learning experience. #iValuetheiropinion#waledchat
A4. Give a choice of program- Google Draw, @Flipgrid to explain their design and choices. Collaborate with classroom teacher to gain extra time. #Waledchat
Yes! So often we hand Ss devices assuming they know what to do and they don't! (At least not for our purpose!) Carving out time to explore HOW to research will result in faster research with greater quality in the future! #waledchat
A4: I need to remember that some groups get more into the book and talking about and comparing, asking questions. I need to pay closer attention to the calendar and know not to rush - wait and do other little activities before state testing. #waledchat
A4 I have a whole idea of how we can turn my floor into a cordinate grid and rotate each piece of furniture about a point... still fleshing it out! I love collaborating about crazy ideas #waledchat
A2: my kids are all on the spectrum and need things demonstrated in a concrete but easy to follow way. Watching me and the T act out scenarios produced a lot of lightbulb moments! #waledchat
A4: gamified it, gave students choices and more centers so I can float and help specific students - More Mrs Bumstead style! love the @flipgrid reflections by Ss who compared the two lessons #waledchat
A4: I’m working on ways to make graphs as a whole less abstract to students. Ways to give meaning to slope and y intercept right from the getgo! Would love thoughts from any other math teachers out there #waledchat#MTBoS
A4: I don’t select tasks & titles until I meet Ss, get to know them, & get their input. If this should happen again, I wouldn’t change dropping the lesson & having a discussion about what they didn’t like & why. This discussion wasn’t planned yet extremely powerful #waledchat
A5: I've been diving into a variety of resources to continue to build my skills as an #educoach. I've explored @artofcoaching1's great coaching resources and I'm excited to dive into #EmpowerBook next. #waledchat
#waledchat A5: We did a Flipgrid book club in our district using the book #kidsdeserveit. The books from #ProjectLITbookclub have given me a lot of ideas regarding some new books to add as options for this year in the classroom.
A5: Every year, I read the book Best Year Ever by Bill Cecil. It refreshes my beginning of the year routine and prepares me to get my team ready for learning. #waledchat
A4: we could use tech to show clips from their fave shows demonstrating various behaviors and they could decide which character showed “expected” behaviors and why it was more effective than “unexpected” behaviors. #waledchat
A4~
Change location of lesson, possibly schedule it w/additional teacher support present, break the lesson down into multiple parts over 2days
Some ideas for blending digital tools into lesson might include @Flipgrid response for Ss voice, chromebooks for research
#waledchat
A1 Incorporating #UDL strategies to reinforce rhythm, I broke my bands into groups each class period & had contests with rhythm cubes. It was a first-try, but it was fun & the Ss had to listen, identify, & count it back to me. I also had buzzers & the kids loved that. #waledchat
Thank you all for coming, and thank you to @moler3031 for a successful moderation of your first twitter chat! Hope to see you all next week! #waledchat
A5 - I love the end of average. Incredible book about going beyond just okay. Also, @MrPStrunk has an awesome podcast. Even just Voxer chats can be valuable. #waledchat
