A4 I try to encourage a culture where it is safe to share and safe to make mistakes and learn from them. For example, if a student has no idea where to begin with a number talk, I simply ask for something he/she noticed and emphasize there is NO wrong answer to that ?. #edumatch

A5. Well first and foremost twitter! What a great way to collaborate and communicate with professionals across the globe! Other great resources include blogs, Instagram, and reddit! Building a PLN is a great way to share knowledge. #GEN2108#edumatch
A4. I think that supporting others in sharing their expertise is so important. Showing that you are there for them by actively listening to what they have to say is the best approach. Also I like to continue to empower them to keep working in that area of expertise. #EduMatch
A5 - I would reccomend for peers and students to explore the various education based twitter chats to learn from other educators in different situations! The chats are a good way to be exposed to other opinions and experiences without being present in the actual class. #edumatch
The best way to include others, and allowing them to share their expertise is to show you are interested. When people know you’re interested, they are likely to open up and talk about themselves #EduMatch#ED463#TeacherbyTrine
Q3
Great question. I share best practices on reading, writing, and tiny bits of using ed tech tools that can help with writing growth. I love learning more about ed tech tools and how they can support instruction.
#edumatch
A4. My course related to Business Intelligence, which is constantly changing. Many of my students are new to the technology field and I encourage them by getting them involved in certification processes. #edumatch
A5. I have already learned so much by building a PLN! Twitter and other social media platforms are essential when you want to share your knowledge with as many people as possible! #EduMatch
Social media is an essential tool to allow others to share their expertise! We should encourage others to show off to and let the world in on something they know so much about! #EduMatch
Q4
Honor where they are and help them see where they're going. I think that helps them foster resilience and tenacity. Show them a variety of ways to share what the know or to demonstrate their new skills/learning.
#edumatch
A5. To help build communication skills and to expand their network I recommend students get involved in ToastMasters International. It really helped me become a better public speaker. #EduMatch
Growing up I have always surrounded myself with children. My jobs and internships have always involved them. I've realized that each child learns differently from the next. I know this because I grew up with dyslexia, a learning difference I still struggle with today. #edumatch
Our group has biweekly face-to-face meetings where we share new ideas or projects that we are working. We also have quarterly technology webinars and training sessions. #EduMatch
Wow what a great response! Resilience is so important in education, we want to teach students to never give up even at their worst. Motivation is key! #GEN2108#edumatch

Hey Kaleb! I also struggled with the notion of being an expert in anything. Luckily in the live video I heard someone break it down as 'expertise' which was still hard to think of but manageable to find areas of strength. #gcitec2360#edumatch#alwaysgrowing

Right! I think it’s also one of those things that we can’t teach it if we can’t even do it for ourselves. So the more honest we can be with them about the process, I think the more connected we can help them be to their own process. #resilience#edumatch

A4: Consistently & constantly lift each other. Point it out, help everyone be aware and proud of their strengths. It's far too easy to overlook your own strengths. Whether it be a student, coworker or anyone there is potential to grow & learn from each other#gcitec2360 #edumatch
Build that P.L.N. Make an e-portfolio to organize and share your great ideas and lesson plans. Include a spot to ask for advice if you are stuck or need to mix it up. Woven threads are stronger than strands. #gcitec2360#edumatch
A4: I’be been thinking about the idea “Say It” recently. Too often we think it but don’t say it. I’m trying to be mindful of telling my Ts and Ss how amazing they are. #edumatch
