-
I am looking up your location now to see and improve my geography!
-
Sounds amazing where were you before this? sounds fab I love when new friends join us- so interesting connecting
-
Last year I worked in China, in Chengdu home of the worlds Giant Pandas

Errr...It's okay we go into the closest town on the weekends to go shopping at Metro. It's nice to escape the gate
-
If I looked outside there is a forest to one side and fields of grass on the other. We are very close to the river!

Moving is always hard, my largest box with all of my scarves and thermals got lost in China. But, yes fun!
-
So do you connect your class globally? Is this your first chat or just
-
Thought we would chat tonight about Global Collaboration
-
might pop in and out tonight.Busy creating a BFG costume for my boy for tomorrow. It's been his first full day in Reception 2day
-
So last year I did a workshop Get Connected! We had to do twitter chats for that. I did a great project with a class in norway
-
-
Nice!! Are you planning on doing anything this year? I connected a lot a few years ago but fell off!
-
-
Hi Rachel we're going to chat about global connections. How are you? Awww remember that first day well :)

I cheated a little, ordered giant ears from Amazon!
-
-
Niiice!!! This is beautiful!!!
-
Oh me and did this a couple of years ago, it was brilliant.
-
Great!! and I did a visiting bear! It feels like so long ago now but really wasn't!! :)
-
-
had a busy Monday with new nursery kids, but lots of fun! It's hard being a teacher mum!
-
I used to be well connected via quadblogging- but haven't done it in ages! Still in contact with teachers though
-
I am excited for it. I signed up then arrived here and told the principal. Everyone is excited
-
It really is, I felt it most when Fin started school and I was settling in other Rec kids but not my own! hope goes well
-
we started a penpal project with a pre school in Manhattan in the summer. Love how they think we live in London & know Queenie!
-
-
That's awesome!! I know I fell off the blog wagon as well- want to get back to it but it's hard!!
-
RT we started a penpal project with a pre school in Manhattan. Love how they think we live in London & know Queenie!
-
I love connecting our classes loved seeing what the bear got up to- even went to Niagara falls!
-
I know- that bear was LIVIN LARGE! :)
-
Where are you from originally Jamie?!
-
Cheating on ears is very acceptable!! :)
-
I am from the US. Nebraska which is right in the center... Just like Chengdu to China and Alabug to Russia.
-
Here you go the link to Quadblogging stuff led by fab for global connectionshttp://quadblogging.net

-
I think back to all we were doing when we were really connecting our classes- it really was tremendous!!! So much learning!!
-
love technology and how it enhances those global connections. We scanned and emailed pics instead of posting snail mail
-
I just looked at quadblogging. I think that it may be a little much for my studens now. But as we go through the year yes
-
was still great to use traditional methods too, but kids love the instant response
-
I did it with 4 year olds and we had a ball :) I do miss it
-
I am going to try to get some of the others to do a global connections day project at school.
-
Sorry am jumping all over tonight researching and looking at links! Dropped the ball in terms of Qs! :)
-
Plus tweetchat was acting up on me- back in the saddle here! :)
-
Oh yes! I've driven through Nebraska before!
-
And now don't tell me you are also a "middle child"! :)
-
Me too- head all over the place :)
-
It's very hard- I did so much for 2 or 3 years then I dropped off. Want to get back again this year!
-
-
Do you have a class twitter account? Mine is
-
Tell us a little about your new job Nic!! I've been dying to hear!
-
I think also for the teachers at my school it will be a step out of their comfort zone.
-
Diving back into the waters here! :) Excited! Always good to see you Dave!!! Hello!!
-
Me too! I really regret that- feel like tech moved on without me ;)
-
My twitter that I use for school things is this one. I have too many twitter accounts I couldn't really use it in China
-
It can be really messy! But also can start really slow. Always good to start w yourself and work out I've found!
-
haaaa I have the SAME FEELING! It felt like complete immersion, then exhaustion, then gone!
-
Which I'm not sure is or was a bad thing! Did so much w Outdoor Ed these last 2-3 years
-
That's why I really want to try the w
-
I am hoping to do more outdoor stuff this year as well. Our school is in a forest type enviornment.
-
Well, I'm glad of that at least!! :) haha! :)
-
The forest space is not large though. At least not inside the gates. My house and the school are on a compound with a forest
-
That sounds lovely! I got so inspired from all the wonderful teachers in England on here
-
