A1: Leading from the classroom to me means that 1st you are a curious, collaborative, caring teacher. You share with colleagues and work on your craft 24/7. #leadupchat
Absolutely! I am privileged to consult with a middle school in which most of the teachers are happy for me to sit in on lessons.... It's a treat. #leadupchat
A1: Leading from the classroom means showing Ss what it is like to learn. Continue to learn, grow, share & be open to change. Create a place where Ss value learning. #leadupchat
A2: a classroom is a shared space where Ss are able to continuously improve and become empowered. These ideas have to be clear expectations from Day 1.#leadupchat
A2: the relationships we build in the classroom MUST spark lasting change and influence in Ss lives. Leading from the classroom gives us the chance daily to inspire and help our Ss change the world. #leadupchat
A2: The classroom is where the magic happens. Give Ss the voice to feel like they matter and have say in their learning-->creates a culture of learning and leading. #LeadUpChat
I am still astounded when teachers so fiercely say "MY kids" or "THOSE kids" instead of "OUR kids," meaning ALL the students. Some teachers are exclusionist. #leadupchat
A3: spotlight leaders that take risk for student success! Show not just the outcome but the process and work that it takes. If you Elevate those Ts, you show others what you stand for as a campus/district. Let Ts know they can raise our ceiling! #LeadUpChat
#leadupchat A3: Supporting teachers with setting goals. Goal setting can open the door to more collaboration which can also lead to pathways of leadership
A4: Steel sharpens steel. When we surround ourselves with people who push us we get stronger. We have to recognize leadership is a culture that can only thrive with constant growth #leadupchat

Just got on and saw this A5 - TEACHER as Assessment leader, not the state test as the assessment "leader" not standardized test data leading, but the Learning Leader assessing and responding to INCREASE learning - IN THE CLASSROOM #leadupchat
A6: We started an initiative this year that allows our teachers to pilot new strategies that require some freedom from the curriculum to implement. We support them, highlight them, value them, and recognize the power they have to push us forward as a district. #RISE#leadupchat
