A1: pedagogy & content knowledge #wyoedchat
I understand the sometimes need to be "1 chapter ahead of Ss" occasionally, but persistent living here is unacceptable & unfair to Ss in classroom
A2: We must look for improvement & betterment of ourselves, our craft, and oir profession. The day we stop doing so because it's all we can do, is the day we should retire. I take notes from my day and reset little, daily objectives for me-for my Ss. #wyoedchat
#wyoedchat How many believe that Reflection happens when we look back upon our actions and identify all the ways we went "wrong" so we can make them "right?"
A3: I review my lesson. Sometimes that review of self can be found in exit tickets by Ss. If they are missing my goal, then I need to determine why...it could be my explanation, my activity, or any number of things! #wyoedchat
I believe that is partially right, but we also have to look forward to what's next. And we should also look back on what we did right and do more of that. #wyoedchat

#wyoedchat Consider this as we examine our working definitions of reflective practice: Reflection isn't a light switch to be turned on when we want. It's a metacognitive skill that must be developed.
No. Sometimes reflection is found when all the ah-ha's happened too! Some days we hit it out of the ballpark. Somedays we are stuck catching foul balls. Review, edit, revise. Reflection isn't so different from writing process, lol #wyoedchat

A4: Not sure, but my guess is reflecting IN action is monitoring and adjusting on the fly - in the middle of the lesson and reflecting ON is after the fact, asking what went right and wrong. #wyoedchat
