It's TIME! Get comfy with your fave beverage cuz is NOW! Please introduce yourself and give your "favorite" allergy symptom.
Time for and to start. My pitiful multitasking skills will once again be exposed!
Ron Rogers from OHIO andFatal to honey bee’s
I'm Bryan from MI and my favorite allergy symptom has got to be hives!
Hey it is always to have the Patriarch in the house!
Michael, Hillsboro, OH. My "favorite" allergy symptom is when I turn into a semi-automatic sneeze gun with a 100-ammo clip.
Tonight is busy with all the great chats Great night.
Claire from Jacksonville, FL. Watery eyes

Ashley Link from Baltimore, MD; no favorite allergy symptom...I'm luck to not suffer from them!!! Sorry to those that do!!!
Hello! Kimberly Coy Assistant professor at Fresno State! Home of many and varied allergies. My fav symptom: confusion
Q1) Why do we need UDL and what are the outcomes of UDL?
Lindsay from Ohio and my (least) favorite allergy symptom is itchy eyes!
Q1) Why do we need UDL and what are the outcomes of UDL?
A1: OOOhhh, awesome question sir
Ashley's last name should be luck... Symptoms of mine vary! How about coughing for a month!
A1 UDL turns the curriculum into something accessible to everyone & develops executive function skills needed for post-grade school
A1) We need UDL because diversity ought to be a strength, not a weakness.
Thank you! A compliment from you means a lot!
A1 cont The outcomes are constantly changing based on the S. Overall, it produces disciplined Ss who can rule the world
A1b) Outcomes of UDL is that the status quo is wrecked and replaced with something much better than the average.
nicely put but... how do we know it's any better?
John Williamson from FGCU sub teacher what is best way to share UDL with peers that have not heard of it before?
A1 As long as there are learners we need
A1) outcome: student success!
A1: UDL creates flexible learning environs. & offers opportunities for choice and growth to create expert learners.
Nice They will become disciplined students.
so Ss weren't successful before ? Just pushing on answers.
Next question in 1 minute. I know the timeline is tight but so much -goodness to get to.
always nice to see you. Thought that was you. Glad to see you on Twitter.
outcomes: students find their voice in learning and that translates to life.
Outcomes: Directed by learners
When each one can define and achieve what the highest level of success means for them, that's evidence of UDL's effect.
Nicely put Cherie. https://t.co/OZ7gMMovVF
outcomes: students find their voice in learning and that translates to life.
Q2) Where do you start with implementing UDL and what/where do you target first?
sure they were, but UDL offers success for all
A1) It provides a blueprint for a level 'playing field'
Always well put and clarified! The directed by learners is such a key concept.
agreed but do we have proof? Beyond anecdotal?
My personal hope is that provides learners and instructors with deeper life choices
A2) I'm more and more convinced that "authenticity" is a prime entry point. "How do you want to change the world?"
can you delve deeper into that? the WHY of?
It's interesting. Do we want it level? Are people the same? I know what you mean, just giving the thought a push
since I have DF on my mind-Walk throughs or student outcomes don't show support for variability? Start there.
...and how do we convince students they can change the world when they still have to ask permission to go to the bathroom?
A2: Start with providing small choices & ways to self-regulate. Model how to make the choices & clarify the expectations
A2
Lesson Planning. Start with what you want your students to learn.
Hey sorry I’m late ! I’m Mindy from MA… “favorite" allergy symptom is ITCHY.
I feel that for me starting where I feel comfortable in a specific context works for me.
A 2 When we start to implement the research says everyone needs to be comfortable with the WHY .
I love the passion around this but I wonder if we need to push deeper so doesn't become a fad that fizzles. .
A2: Getting started “period” is important... T starts where it makes the most sense for them. Need feedback/support to keep going.
great idea but how is this different from just instructional planning? Or is it?
nice to meet up in the tonight!
A 2 Deep implementation sustained implementation takes policy and even legislation
Nice to “see” you again, Lindsay!
another question is on it's way
Q3)Are there any go to resources or people for UDL?
T = ? Learners, Students, Teachers, Instructional designers, Administration, Staff, Guardians??
Great thought; Equality not equity
Hi glad you could make it to our tonight. It’s moving along fast.
A3: is my FAVORITE go-to resource for . PLNs/COPs are where it’s at.
A2: starting with the learning goal is a good place...why do Ss need to learn something...Ts need to know why it’s a goal first.
A3.2) a lot of twitter faces that are here tonight show up on the resource list to name a few!
A3: Attend conferences, visit schools that have implemented UDL effectively, watch videos, experiment with ideas from Pinterest!
A3: resources are always another great place for more info (social media included)… but I may be *slightly* biased. ;)
A3: And, of course, the resources & summit. Fantastic resources there, too!
Not so fast! Here I am squeaking in before it's over, hi, everyone!
Alright one more question if we can squeeze it in... coming in 1 minute!
A3: Go to the Learners, all ages and "abilities" Present and ask them to be experts for themselves
Now we can start the real since the one and only Applause is in the house.
Yes! made it in! Unfortunately is out on a vision quest otherwise the whole gang would be representin'!
Too kind, my friend. Too kind. abound at . :)
Q4) If there was a magic tool that could help implementation what features would it absolutely have to have?
should tweet the link for our webinar coming up.
A3: a teacher's own lesson plan and open mind is a great resource as he or she compares it to the UDL guidelines!
Tonight's seemed to be fast paced and a bit simplistic but I hope it has welcomed some of our new participants and brought others
A4) It would NEVER have to be recharged!
Q4: The ultimate tool would need to be like a Tribble. Irresistible and crazy fast at reproducing https://t.co/R1nrUbKNZ6
I am on the road--later night than I thought--pulled over as I saw time was ticking! , baby!
was really impressed with the goalbool presentation at the summit. Would like to know more.
cont- back to their base. I think we need to push back on our beliefs as we move forward! Thank you every one for a GREAT
"simple" is the best! https://t.co/FOtiZheqm0
Tonight's seemed to be fast paced and a bit simplistic but I hope it has welcomed some of our new participants and brought others
A4: I think the only magic tool is an empowered, passionate educator who is always learning. https://t.co/up2WLy29vE
A4: I think a simplified checklist that is broken into different levels of experience for implementation (novice, intermedia, etc).
And that's why she's a BOSS! Drop the mic!
A4: Ts always want to see it in action...videos and model site visits.
One minute left for the oh no.
