A1. Model.
Be the risk-taker you want others to be.
Be the kindest person in the school.
Be the person who knows Ss by their first name.
#PrinLeaderChat
Likely won't say much, but will be following on twitter. John from northwest IA. Social studies teacher, 2nd year grad student pursuing Masters in Ed. Leadership from Creighton U. Love teaching but could see myself in administration down the line... #PrinLeaderChat
A1: Create an environment where Ss can see the worth in their learning, passions and aspirations, & ultimately recognize that they, matter bc a T believes in them. #prinleaderchat
Glad to see someone in my same shoes. Sean - SS T & Director of Instructional Tech at Marian Catholic. Working toward Admin degree as well. #PrinLeaderChat

A1: Create an environment where they are able to make real world connections with their learning! Then, provide the necessary requirements for them to change the world! #PrinLeaderChat
A1. Ensure that huge priority is placed on deepening social/emotional well-being of the faculty/teaching staff. An emotionally/socially well teacher, without question, will impact students and their learning immensely. #PrinLeaderChat
A1: Show real-life examples of people who have changed the world. Bring these people in to share their stories! We were lucky enough for our students to experience Simon Deng this year. #ByramPride#PrinLeaderChathttps://t.co/5ixjuUHKxf
A2. Provide Ts with opportunities to be risk-takers as well as forums for them to celebrate.
I'm with @smgaillard: we need MORE COWBELL in education.
#PrinLeaderChat
YES. 24/7/365. We do not have the luxury of "clocking out" Our kids and community see everything we do, and everything we do has influence. #PrinLeaderChat
Q2: The school administrator should never miss the opportunity to highlight & praise a staff member's positivity, growth & commitment to strengthening relationships #PrinLeaderChat
Made it for a bit @winstonsakurai A1: be intentional to find opportunities for them to create, design and make. Our #ideafoundry class has done wonders! #prinleaderchat Oh, Darren from SoDak.
A2: Allow our Teachers to take risks in their classroom and support them through the difficult times. As leaders how do we react when a T tries and is not successful yet? Jump in and provide support. #PrinLeaderChat
A1: Believe in them. Listen to their ideas. Allow them to have a voice! Ask for their input. Encourage them to take risks! Help them to be collaborative, innovative, and creative! Build relationships with them! Teach them to problem solve. #PrinLeaderChat
A2: I believe it is important to let them know you see their work, are listening to their struggles and support them in the vision you set. #prinleaderchat.

As a still novice teacher, you have no idea how much that rings true. Being able to focus on improvements does wonders for confidence and morale, especially when beginning at a school. #PrinLeaderChat
Love it! We have one in our school too and once a month we have a pineapple day where every teacher is given time to visit other classrooms. #PrinLeaderChat
A2: When the ideas are flowing, BE THERE. Support by showing up, being in the trenches and helping the idea become real. Be willing to follow through with more than talk. That changes mindsets and can increase group support/participation. #PrinLeaderChat
A2: Give them time and opportunity to collaborate. Play to their strengths! Find their sparks and what makes them tick! Make connections that have meaning. Build relationships with them. Offer them growth opportunities and differentiate PD for them! #PrinLeaderChat
New @middleweb blog post in Februrary on what I call, "Books Without Borders"! Describes how I do it. Follow me and @middleweb Thanks for asking! #PrinLeaderChat
In reply to
@LRESPrincipal, @middleweb, @middleweb
That is hard, but what I have started do again is carve out time and commit to it. My happy place is not in the paperwork or the problems, it's in the building, classrooms, with kids and Ts, supporting the learning zone. #PrinLeaderChat
A3: I want the teachers I have the privilege of working with to feel they are supported, inspired, and acknowledged for the work they do. #PrinLeaderChat
A3: Great question! I want to create a better #edu setting for our learners. We need to break the traditional structures and empower kids to plan their learning. https://t.co/P0fHds2a3z#PrinLeaderChat
You exemplify this, Brian! I saw in real time at your sensational presentation last summer at #NPC17! Always need more cowbell! #EduCowbell#PrinLeaderChat
A3 I want to leave a legacy of kindness, compassion and genuine love in all those I have worked with and for. I also want to use my passion for growth to impact our students by sharing my love for learning and innovation with students and staff #prinleaderchat
@jovestckel. It takes a lot of continual work and promotion to keep it a vibrant forum.
Pineapple chart is not "one and done." Look for ways to build momentum.
#PrinLeaderChat
A3: I want to encourage Ts to step out of their comfort zone, use new research based pedagogy and transform education. I want to ensure Ss are given the opportunity to be prepared for their future. #PrinLeaderChat
A3: Be a part of the process of developing the next generation of productive citizens: both my children and those that I serve in our schools #PrinLeaderChat
A3: Be a good person. Be a good wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Treat others with kindness and compassion. Show grace always. Make a difference in the lives of our students and staff. Be a role model and have a positive impact on our community. #PrinLeaderChat
A3: I want to grow learners, leaders, and change trajectories. I want to see lives change because the organization I am a part of believed in, encouraged, or cheered for them. Ts and Ss alike. #prinleaderchat
A3. I really want to make sure that I’ve left my vocation and non-vocation in a better place. So they can move forward to continue being “ground breakers”. #PrinLeaderChat
A3: I want to create a positive learning environment for students and a positive working environment for teachers where both students and teachers can do their best work and feel supported! #PrinLeaderChat
Tough one for leaders since we focus so much on others.
1 Best Dad I can be!
2 Cheerleader for my students and teachers
3 Inspire others to be great
#PrinLeaderChat
A4 definitely have to say my PLN and the chats I take part in, the teachers I have a chance to observe and educators like @casas_jimmy@burgessdave@BethHouf and so many others who are sharing their stories in books and blogs #prinleaderchat
A4: There is no better resource to inspire greatness than the relationships we have with others. Find your people, your tribe, support them and they will support you. #PrinLeaderChat
A2 We can support them by first connecting with them and understanding their beliefs and passions. One can then mentor, guide, inspire and create opportunities to help them pursue those passions. #PrinLeaderChat
A2: When the ideas are flowing, BE THERE. Support by showing up, being in the trenches and helping the idea become real. Be willing to follow through with more than talk. That changes mindsets and can increase group support/participation. #PrinLeaderChat
A4. I'm inspired by members of my PLN all the time, but my teachers, staff and students inspire me everyday by their efforts and who they are as individuals. #BeYou#PrinLeaderChat
A4: Connecting on Twitter and face-to-face at conferences is is great, but books like Lead Like a Pirate and Learning Transformed are huge too. #LeadLAP#LT8keys#PrinLeaderChat

A3: Something I think abt constantly...at this moment more than anything I hope that my influence is leaving a positive impact on the ppl I effect. I hope I'm sharing the notion that being there, is part of that change, and change comes when we act together. #PrinLeaderChat
A4: The best resource I use to inspire greatness in my personal and professional life is the relationships that I build with the people I choose to surround myself with! Choose people that are going to push you to be better! #PrinLeaderChat
A3 Great Q!! I want to have a positive impact on the learning and growth of my students & staff.
I want to create an equitable education system for ALL.
I want to write.
I want to consult, share my passion with others, & learn with educators all over the world. #PrinLeaderChat
A3: To serve in the best interest of Ss. Promote and grow social equality on the schoolhouse. Continue to have a infinite mindset. Compete with the me of last year. Be a better Admin, Mentor and Father than I was a year ago. #PrinLeaderChat#DoGreatThings
