A6: Sometimes being available to people is the biggest resource! Build relationships and offer support. Use your PLN !
How can parents know if their kids are growing or just "playing school"? Grades don't tell us anything.
Not everyone is equipped to lead in the same way. Out front, or by example, or by relationships.
that’s how our PLCs work but we are required to use our lunch or prep time (get “flex” time for it) once a week.
A6: getting involved & SHARING! Using social media like Twitter, Google hangouts, or FB, blogs, reading articles & books
I'm all for teachers determining their own metrics and outcomes.
Q2 Follow EdCamp format to give teachers voice and choice in PD.
give Ts time to visit each other; meetings can celebrate best practices, use social media to share w community
That's what we need to do every day. Awareness, collaboration, sharing, professionalism, and caring. https://t.co/fhPQkIPqEX
A6: & Twitter are the biggest for me Ts are reluctant for some reason but I continue to push.
A6 Get involved when you go to PD. Make sure the presenter will remember you. Set calendar to remind you to implement.
Gotta run guys, thanks for a great first !!
but many will still need that gently “nudge” (or “bribe” - I find food and/or prizes work!) to try it!
and sometimes you'll receive an answer, but look in their eyes says, "I'm gr8'how I am, not interested, leave me alone"
is over, but the convo doesn't have to end! For transcripts, resources & chat analytics head to https://t.co/46Y0QgjJ1i

I love to see other teachers give PD. It's practical but also shows that admin values the work WE do, not just what "experts" say.
thanks for the advice, we will try it!!
Good pt. But how else to know if lrng is occurring, to benchmark S's and our effectiveness?
A6: Read "Creative Confidence"and "Give and Take" & connect w/ Just to name a few.
that’s new to me. Is it like ?
Thanks everyone for a great chat. Now, time to look at the the million tabs I have open :) Have a great week.

I love to see this take off in schools and divisions! Gets me so excited about the learning taking place
Q1: Why do you want more teachers on Twitter?
Next Q depends on your reply.
I disagree. https://t.co/TccgNnksFh
my experience in most twitter peeps is a serious amount of groupthink. Not much disagreement in or others.
Those who want to be at the PD session learn more and are much more engaged.

Great conversations! My adrenaline is going - perfect time to head out to the gym. Thanks! !

A4: Focus on relationships first! Build community. Collaboration follows naturally.
would you have parents facilitate the conversations or would Ts (or both)? Sounds interesting!
A6: Start with what exists. Use the eval rubric as a jumping off point for self reflection, then build from there!
A2: Professional Learning: we must personalize for teachers much like we do for students
Can I push you a little on that? Would we say that to a student? Or find ways them to contribute & grow? Same 4 Ts?
I love to then look back and see how I can tweak my implementation to make it even better! https://t.co/qescByO7qg
