When I started college in 1976, the standard art ed. text was already almost 30 years old. Are there any ed. texts that last that long these days? Most seem outdated after 5 years, am I missing something? #edchat

Love this discussion topic. There is a fine line between having our classrooms teacher focused or student focus. The goal is a student focused classroom. #edchat

Growth mindset is how my classroom operates, and how most classes in my school operate. Amazingly, it changed my entire math workshop, which was my weakest area as a primary school teacher. #growthmindset#edchat

This is the hardest part of teaching ELA for me! I think modeling asking questions is key, but it feels so unnatural to do! I do find it helps when I commit myself to doing it, however. #edchat#activereading
This is one of my favorite things I've learned from my #PLN - even if you can't attend in the moment, you can still find a lot of great resources by watching/participating later! #edchat

Ah- I can't help but feel a burst of excitement when I look at my book lineup this year! Particularly jazzed about The New Avengers and Black Panther. What experiences are you most excited to share with your SS this year? #engchat#kidlit#edchat#k12
Yes! I do the same things in my room! GoNoodle is a must between each lesson, and I still do the old-time movement songs like Hokey Pokey and Your Ears Hang Low, which some of the kids have never heard of before. #edchat
Teamwork miniature multiplies success. All 12 Wild Boars went into Tham Luang cave as a team. They survived there as team. Tonight at the end of 72-hour rescue, they are together as a team once again.

Do you have a literacy coach currently at your school who can do an interactive read-aloud in your classroom? My coach modeled one in my room which was a wonderful experience, and really helped my own techniques to improve! #edchat#activelearning#activelistening
“In my mind, personalized learning is a request for every teacher to step up their game, know their students, and make sure those students are getting what they need when they need it.” #isedchat#masterychat#edchathttps://t.co/KL3VzkFLyT
That sounds like a great idea! I will have to look into it when school starts. I love watching other teachers.. it gives me so many ideas and strategies to incorporate in my classroom. #edchat

I love using GoNoodle! I try to get my students up and moving whenever possible. They love using Stand Up, Hand Up, Pair Up, and Inside Outside Circle to review for classes! #edchat#classroommovement
Absolutely! Having an interest in reading creates success in the future. As a first grade teacher, I try to get my students to question, engage, and explore text, but it is not always easy. I try to focus in and model this during small group instruction. #activereading#edchat

This is so important to teach our students. Grammar instruction should always begin in the primary grades. A lack of instruction creates problems in older students. As a primary teacher, I have students practice contractions so they can use them in their writing. #edchat
Two of my Physics students attempted to build a #gravitational torsion balance this year (in the spirit of Henry Cavendish). The results were somewhat inconclusive but the learning was amazing! #edchathttps://t.co/2pSXyaK6Gi
I love this. Mistakes, especially at early ages, are crucial for children to make so they learn how to deal with failure, and how to create a growth mindset for themselves. #edchat#growthmindset
I love using Book Creator but haven't used several of these other apps in my classroom. I also have students use Vidra for teaching central idea in non-fiction texts. I would love to incorporate more technology this year! #edchat
I love using some of those apps in my first grade classroom! It is so amazing to see how the students are able to navigate through them. My students use the seesaw app during workstations to create a story map. https://t.co/iYOpIGlB29#edchat#theresnoplacelikefirstgrade
The only way our students can learn is to grow from mistakes. I feel this way about being an educator as well. My mistakes help me better understand how to support my students. #edchat
