Q1: Describe the composition of your coaching staff. How many coaches, their assignments, etc.

HC (myself), OC, DC, plus 4 other position coaches. We all coach varsity and JV

A1: 2a in Oklahoma. We have 5 coaches. 1 HC/DC, 1 OC, 1 OL/LB, 1 OL/DL, 1 WR/DB

A1: 3A in SC we have 7 total varsity does JV also and some do C team

A1) Our entire staff is 10 coaches, 4 are freshman, and 6 are varsity. Each coach is responsible for a position.

A1: Cont. All varsity coaches do JV and Middle School.

Q2: How are new coaches to the staff introduced to and taught how the staff operates?

A1: 4 coaches. HC/OC/QB/LB (me), DC/DB/WR, OL/DL, and RB/Specialists

A1: 3 coaches including myself. HC/OC, a DC & STC Also, Seth Bass, HFC North Shelby HS (MO), finally remembering to return!

A2: We sit down and go through expectations & basic operations. After that, we try to catch them up on terminology, rules, etc.

We also have a volunteer coach though I'm from CT lol

Q3: What do you do as a staff to build camaraderie with each other?

All of our varsity does JV. We also have 2 middle school coaches.

A3: honestly we have fun it's like a group of guys just talking junk all day for no apparent reason. But we all get along great

A3: Once a month we have a cookout at someone's house. We all get along. Wives get along great as well!

A3: We have a summer retreat. We still scout live in the fall, and we have a good time in the office. No thin skin allowed!

we started with a one on one with coordinators and taught system then introduced to rest of staff and players

A.3) Our HC had us over for a party recently. Pizza truck & bounce house for the kids. Yards games and trash talk for the adults

A3 cont...we also gather at the HCs house for post game down time and rehashing...sometimes with families, sometimes without

A4: will find out soon enough we do have Saturday's off and try to minimize film study on Sunday's. Brain won't work on 0 sleep

A4: when I coached HS, I had no personal life under 1 guy. Under another, he wanted you home by 6:30. In MS, not as consuming.

Q3: What do you do as a staff to build camaraderie with each other?

How many of these female gymnast could also be NCAA caliber high jumpers or pole vaulters?

A4: We are good about going home when our work is done. Family is a big part of what we do!

A.3) cont. He get along very well. We have pre practice competitions for coaches only. Lots of trash talk but very fun

A4 cont. We work weekends, but we have time Saturday and Sunday to be with them.

A4 cont: In MS, now done by Fri. Practice Mon/Tues, Game Wed, Film/Practice Thurs & Fri. No HS duties, school feeds 2 different

Q5: What is the office like on gameday?

A.4) I don't have a family so I'm full throttle at all times. Our HC gets us out at a decent time. He has a family so he gets it

A5: mine is beside the coaches office so I'm probably gonna hibernate until game time

A5: We are pretty loose...coaches in the office, prepping, talking, joking...

A4: We work on Saturday until we are done. I will tell you it's hard to keep it at the office. Going to work on that this season

A4: cont. I am a workaholic. I spend my time at home watching film and trying to master my craft. My wife understands

A5: Fine unless Pregame meal and/or bus didn't arrive, then hectic. Music. Lots of music.

A4: Cont2 But I am going to strive to keep everything in the office this season and not bring it home. Since my kid is older.

we are blessed at we have 19 coaches total. OC and DC at Freshmen JV and Varsity level. Plus positional

A4) our varsity HC gives both FR and JV coaches Sat and Sun off. Only varsity coaches work weekends.

A5 cont: If we have a Saturday game, we will have college football on tv until time for position meetings

Q6: When game planning with the O or D staff, how much input do the position coaches have?

we are blessed to have program guys who understand we are trying to build a program from bottom to top. Men of Character

A6: Coaches are encouraged to speak up...not everything is included, but that doesn't mean stop thinking and sharing

A5: We're loose. We still laugh and crack jokes. We're still about business. Can't coach w misguided emotion

A1: 14 coaches. 10 V/JV all coach 1 position, including HC. 4 freshmen. 4 of our V coaches will work the JV teams

A6: We are encouraged to give input & express our thoughts & concerns instead of just sitting there.

Q7: What is something that your staff does that you feel is unique, or one of the best things about your staff?

A6: as a DC I already have a plan & I communicate it to pos coaches daily in prep for game day. I'm not opposed to input though

A2: Depends on when we finalize the full staff...sometimes its at the retreat, sometimes in pre-season meetings

A2 cont: HC assigns duties and goes over the expectations and duties of every coach

a6) I have a staff of 4. I do all breakdown and game planning. I meet with staff and dc Sunday for 1-2 hours to go over.

A1: 10 coaches 4 O 5 D and a HC. OC/QB, RB, WR, OL, DL, ILB/DC, OLB, Corners, Safties work V and JV

A1: We have a total of 12 coaches including the HC. We all coach JV & freshman except the HC, but he's there 2 oversee it all.
