Good morning #bfc530!
We are on the 2nd half of the week...only two more days to make a difference with the students and teachers. (Face to face in school that is....)
I broke up a fight sometime last year. The parent of one of the kids came in the next day to check if I was okay. I thought that was very kind. #bfc530
I love hearing from parents that their child became an independent “pleasure” reader as a result of my class. It’s one of my most important goals and so closely linked to academic success. #bfc530
Thank yous are nice, but I like it when parents tell me "I hear about you and your class all the time"... that tells me the kids are going home and talking #bfc530
When I am running a minute or so late to parent pick up, there is one parent when I get there who always says, “There’s our girl!” They smile when they say it. It’s lovely! #bfc530
Two years in a row I had parents write me letters that were forwarded to the front office to be added to my personnel file. They were gifts that will last a like time. #bfc530
#bfc530 Sometimes, when I have the second or third child in a family, a parent will share that they are very happy about that, because they know how kind I am. Sounds like #humblebragging, I know, but that's my answer.
I had a very difficult situation where I helped to get special ed services for a student. His parents were very against it but trusted me. Now, over 20 years later I hear from the mom every year thanking me for changing his path for the better. #bfc530
From a P: you are the first teacher to love him enough that he wants to come to school. From a S: I put you through hell- you can handle anything (upon hearing I was being forced to transfer) #bfc530
Like yesterday, there are too many to count. My favs, however, are when the parents acknowledge & thank us for not simply focusing on acing a test, but helping their build the skills & confidence to do whatever they want in life. #bfc530

I enjoy it when parents share with me the topics we are talking about in class b/c their child is excitingly going home and sharing it with them. To me that is a "Thanks, youre doing your job" #bfc530

I get a text from a parent of a student I had in grade 2 and 4; he is now is 8th. She wishes me a happy thanksgiving and happy Mother’s Day. Means so much to me. #bfc530
A parent shared this with me years after my class...Thank you for spending two years teaching my son and preparing him for the next phase in his education. He's doing great in middle school. He's actually being inducted into the National Junior Honor Society tonight. #bfc530
because of the grade I teach there r so many firsts, therefore I have parents who think all these wonderful accomplishments r due 2me, so I get beautiful letters, cards, hugs, tears😊❤️I point out it is not my awesomeness😬but the structure and routine of being in school #BFC530
Thank you-our son says you like him. No teacher has ever made him feel that way before.
This was an 11th grader - made me want to cry. How does a S make it all the way to HS thinking none of his teachers like him?

The biggest compliment from parents with multiple kids is that they want you as their teacher again. To me there is no better way to know that you have made (or are making) a difference! #bfc530

I have been enjoying reading your stories & thinking of my own. We need to recall those times when the times of unfair accusations come. There are people out their that tremendously appreciate what we do. #bfc530

Another compliment is when students come back and ask you to write a letter of recommendation for them. There is a reason why they are asking you to do it. #bfc530
Or they run into you and say how they are disappointed that their younger child does not have you as a teacher, mark of a job well done with the older child #bfc530

I routinely ask S at conferences if they are happy in school. If not I ask if. There is anything I can do to make it better. All about student voice. #bfc530

Students pay compliments in inconspicuous ways: "this project is so cool" "I'm so glad you didn't just give me the answer" but the best was a parent who told me that I changed his kid's life! That affirmed all that I do #bfc530
I have had former students say, "I became a teacher b/c of you". I jokingly reply, "Im Sorry" & then they usually describe how they understand the educational purpose of the things we do in my class & how they implement similar in theirs, I ask ?'s & then learn from them #bfc530
Those are indeed special...when parents (or former students who hated math/science) come back and tell me that they are now majoring in a STEM field. Imagine indeed! Puts a smile on my face every time. #bfc530
So glad I️ was able to join in today. Just what I️ needed to start my day. Put a smile on my face knowing that what we do makes a difference! Nice to be reminded of that sometimes! Thank you all! You’re amazing! #bfc530
You are very kind Chris.
It just broke my heart to realize we have students who go through their entire school careers not connecting with any of their teachers.
#Unacceptable!
#bfc530
OK, so yesterday a kid calls the school on his cell phone, from the bathroom, b/c there is no toilet paper in the stall. Asked if we could bring him a roll. Seriously. #bfc530#cantmakethisstuffup
And this is why I have made #bfc530 part of morning routine. Today's topic was such a positive way to start the day & get us motivated. Have a great one. Im Out! #bfc530

Biggest compliment came from a student in the form of a letter thanking me for the difference I made in their life six years later. It hangs in a place where I see it every day! #bfc530

Recently I had a parent come to me after years asking if I could be available to her daughter if she needed me. The fact that she knew she could meant everything even after year #bfc530
😊 thank you 😊 My awesomemes is a direct result of their awesomeness!...FYI I didn’t think I could use the word “awesomeness” so much in a fifteen minute span 🤣 haha Let’s all let our awesomeness shine today! 👊🏼🙌🏼 #bfc530

I think ultimately what we’re all going for is having meaningful, lasting impact on our students’ lives. When a parent tells you their child started asking to go to the library for the first time it feels like a big impact. #bfc530
They are hugely important! They help students create a strong foundation upon which to build and they help instill curiosity & the love of learning-the satisfaction of taking on a challenge-& the perseverance to get up & try again when they falter.
#bfc530
Best compliment was a letter a student wrote explaining why I should be teacher of the year last year - she was my student 5 years ago. What we do matters...Every day! #bfc530
#Trump has been in office for less than a year, and he’s already the best US president in my lifetime.
He tells the truth about the big picture. He understands that western civilisation’s existence is threatened by Islam, and by Islam’s western enablers. He’s on our side.
The Failing @nytimes, the pipe organ for the Democrat Party, has become a virtual lobbyist for them with regard to our massive Tax Cut Bill. They are wrong so often that now I know we have a winner!
No comments compare to the lifelong friendships that have been built with parents & students over the years. Thankful for social media so we can keep in touch! @KristinBublitz@tld166@BublitzClaire#bfc530
