This is a good one - our changing environment and displacement are tied directly to cultural impact or loss
A2 To engage Ss it's always effective to touch their hearts.

Sharing stories Ss can relate to Discussions should start w/Kind Share stories who make a diff https://t.co/0OBRXU6veP
That is the question - & what is the understanding needed in order to do it w/ intelligence & sensitivity
A2b service-learning projects that get Ss actively engaged in issues at local/ global level. can help w/intl project

A lot of it has been due to males having more movement in & out of villages & better educ for kids, so pro & con
A3: I think we need to teach things developmentally appropriate. Be ready to answer Qs and support.
A3: No S should walk out of your class wondering, "What does this have to do with the real world?" https://t.co/rIkpIPY7PV

not at all, but for many Ss they need it as a starting point.

Great Q but hard to answer. All feel solvable when kids care and know how to act constructively.
I think most Ks are empathetic but they don’t understand how to relate to others who may be diff https://t.co/dZRZfz2DrP
A4 Capitalize on the diversity existing within classrooms - students are experts and naturally curious about each other
That's pretty much the best thing ever.
where in Sarasota? I used to teach there
We teach so many hard skills there is little time for the social skills that REALLY matter- tolerance/acceptance/community
Oh, this is s great idea. Sets a foundation to be able to make an assessment of what's going on
