I always try to help students think beyond grades when setting goals so they truly engage in learning
This is so true - if Ss are self-aware they become motivate to reach their own goals
Ahh, the perpetual dilemma of great vision and lack of follow-through due to competing responsibilities
Students need to practice setting and meeting goals daily. It is a life skill for success!
Indeed. That's why goals should be focused on standard/competency mastery and/or growth.
Ready for Q6? It’s up in 60 seconds!

A6: For us at LiFT its about mindset and having the right tools that highlight how learning matters in and out of school
I don't know Goal Chaines - like to know more definitely looking for systemic coherency & change https://t.co/hzDmvsDrmN
Goal Chaines - inked or nested goals leverage one another = systemic coherency
A6: authentic learning experiences that require Ss to solve real problems related the material.
So kind of you to say! I miss my bi-weekly dose and who knows what will happen!
that's great to hear. Let me know if I can help
Yes give opportunities for in demonstrating understanding
When students can honestly reflect on their learning, authentic reflections are goal setting by nature.
A6: lets not forget many S's may already have evidence of competency stashed somewhere waiting to be validated!
Yes each learner is unique, definitely needs their voice and choice to set goals their way https://t.co/kv7UvBoMk5
A6: Depends on the individual learner. Demonstrating evidence, too, requires choice and voice if your goal is “best”
