Our Ss just started this week, so I'm eager to hear about new tools to share with them and my Ts!
Q2: How do you introduce ISearch to your students?
A2: I've seen ELA teachers use ISearch as a pre-writing tool to get Ss thinking about their research topic.
A2 I like to show how it's connected to our library's OPAC and searches all databases at once
A2 I also like to point out the research starters that often appear on popular topics
Yes, ! ISearch is a great tool to search INFOhio databases alongside your schools digital and physical content.
A2: When using ISearch, directly add articles into Google Classroom. Find the tool bar on the right hand side of the article.
A2: I think the Classroom feature is so handy!
I was just using some of the toolkits on iSearch yesterday and found some fun LP ideas such as BINGO and scavenger hunt!
The research starters are great and at the top of our advanced resources tabs.

A3: Many ES use BookFlix, but I am curious to know what MS and HS uses the most.
A3 Probably EBSCO tools; used to be multidatabase, but now Explora and Points of View probably top list
A3 I point out to Ss that EBSCO tools are available at public library and will also be at their colleges
A3: , what do your Ss like most about POV and EBSCO?
A3 Our Ts love the Points of View database for writing, esp the overviews that concisely show point/counterpoint
A3: I assume your ELA Ts use POV, have any SS Ts used it?
A3: EBSCO also has a Send to Cloud feature with each article that's new.

Many depts use it b/c our school is entering 3rd year of building-wide focus on argumenative writing
Excellent school wide focus! Great to hear POV is being used cross-curricular! Would be a great webinar!
A4 As often and any way I can! Short screencasts, Tech Tuesday lunches, getting on admin's early release rotation, etc.
